"Witching Hour" Yu is a Dawn of the Solstice Pirates, a Jade spear forged hundreds of years ago in the Kingdom of Mao Jade by a master blacksmith, wielded my many powerful warriors over the years before being retired to a temple for safe keeping. Yu would accidently consume the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Yuki Onna after a mischevious young monk used her to cut a fruit in a tree in two.
Yu took on the form of a beautiful young woman she was worshipped at the temple as a Goddess for several decades before growing bored of the quckly stagnating life she lived. Wanting to experience what it meant to be a human being she would set off from her temple to go on a "Great Jouney" to find herself, promising to return when she had.
Not long after setting off into the world she would encounter Alban A. Helios, joining the man and his crew.
