War of Empires was an all out war reigned by the forces of the World Government, led by the fleet admiral Kyojin, against the alliance of two of the Yonko, which ended with the World Government winning at the expense of the two emperors dying in battle.
Overview[]
At the beginning of the year 1618, two of the Yonko announced their alliance, which was a huge threat to the World Government. Two of the largest crews, led by two brutal emperors of the sea joining arms, it was nothing to be scoffed at. Lasting two whole years, the war between the marines and pirates were brutal, and as a result, many lost their lives from both sides. The war itself changed the power structure of the world, with two emperors, two admirals, countless vice admirals, countless pirates, all dead on the battlefield.
Along with the pirates and the marines, people all over the place participated in this war. The Shichibukai in particular, taking the side of the World Government, they helped by fighting on the battlefield against the joined forces of the two emperors.
Caribert Lysandre, seeing the war as the perfect testing grounds for some of his latest experiments, set them loose on the battlefield to fight both sides. After watching them crumble in front of the might of the World Government and the Emperors, he determined that their power was yet insufficient and fled to further perfect his methods.
