The Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Kirin is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit which allows the user to transform into a Raiju hybrid and full Raiju at will, a beast which takes a form of a kirin. This makes the user become a Kirin Human (麒麟人間, Kirin Ningen^?). It was eaten by Lowenthal David.

Etymology

• Ushi (ウシ) is Japanese for "cow" or "ox".
• Kirin (麒麟) is a mythical creature that is associated with heavenly fire and, in more modern depictions, lightning.

Appearance

The Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Kirin takes the appearance of a single blue banana. The banana has a strange jagged shape, emblematic of a typical lightning bolt shape. It has a two-pronged green stem with a single "horn" coming out of each prong. When peeled, the fruit is shown to have a yellow inside. It has the iconic swirl design possessed by the devil fruits.

Strengths and Weaknesses

As a Zoan fruit, the foremost ability of the Devil Fruit is to allow the user to transform into a kirin. This is a creature that resembles a horse-like dragon with cloven hooves and deer-like antlers. At least in Kamui's case, the animal is covered in blue, fish-like scales.

However, the power of the Zoan is expanded with its Mythical status. Due to its nature of giving the use the power of the Kirin, it also gives the user the power to use lightning. This gives the user powerful control and manipulation of the element, akin to that of a Logia. The lightning can be used for various effects.
