Toru Ahora is a former Marine, and a guard of Impel Down.
He joined the marines from a young age, filled with hope and excitement to better the world. But when thrust into the battlefield for the first time, he was cruelly introduced to the brutality of war. When he tried to save a pirate and his family, Tadashi Apollo severely scolded him and sent him to perform "Jail Duty". As part of his punishment, he is attempting to get good performance reports as a jailer so he can retire from the position and seek out his own goals.
