Tormenta is the name of Bartho's sword. It is a Katana, a "Black Blade" (黒刀 Kokutō?) and one of the Meito.
Appearance[]
Tormenta is a simple yet well-made katana and black blade forged using techniques from the Wano Country in an age long past. When not in use it is sheathed in Bartho's scabbard, which is usually found at his hip.
Tormenta is most suited for use as a two-handed weapon but is just as capable at being used using a single hand. The blade is composed of two different colors, the sharp edge of the blade is a gold-yellow color and the center of the blade is blade with what appears to be crackling lightning coursing through, this streak of lightning appears on both sides of the blade and starts at just above the seppa (the section just above the tsuba or protector). The tsuba is black with a gold ring around the outside, and holes throughout. The tsuka or handle is very plain wrapped in black silk creating a diamond pattern.
History[]
Tormenta is a sword that was forged many years ago in the Wano Country and traveled with the Bearsplitter clan when they left the country. Tormenta was not a sword that was noteworthy at the time it was taken out of the country, however as time has progressed Tormenta has been forged in battle being passed down from clan head to clan head, finally becoming a black blade a few generations before it was placed in the hands of Bartho by his father Hagan.
Abilities[]
Tormenta is a normal, yet durable katana, which other than being forged as a black blade and meito through multiple battles has no notable qualities. It has however been empowered by Bartho and his Koku Koku no Mi. Currently written on the weapon are the words for "Lightning" and "Sharpen" on the blade, "Extend" on the handle, and "Return" on the pommel. On the blade additionally, is Bartho's name granting him full control over the weapon and preventing others from utilizing his engravings.
