The Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Shoebill is a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to transform into a Shoebill hybrid and a full Shoebill at will. It was eaten by Bluto Harold.
Etymology[]
- Tori (鳥?) is Japanese for "bird".
Appearance[]
The fruit has the appearance of the bird's iconic beak, with a cream pink color for the skin. The fruit has a gritty texture with light grey patches along the rough spots. It's stem is Wavy and ends at a feathered point.

Strengths and Weaknesses[]
This fruit enables a person to become a large Shoebill and a Shoebill-human hybrid at will, granting him the enhanced stability of the shoebill's long toes, along with the advantage of having of flight. In his full Shoebill form, he can carry other people on his back while flying. While Bluto is not the fastest flier in hybrid or animal forms, his avian form does offer him a sizable stature and a strong beak for intimidation and defense. His large beak in both hybrid and bird form offer's him an impressive tool for grappling target with little chance of escape.
This fruit, aside from the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses, offers one of the slowest flight speeds among any bird Zoans, maxing out at 35 mph.
Usage[]
The Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Shoebill's unique aspect of flight and large beak are used by Bluto to enhance his mobility and grappling prowess. Through brutal physical and psychological warfare he intimidated his foes, tracking them through the skies and grappling with the intent to snap bones.
Techniques[]
- Volley Overture: Bluto uses his large beak to create an intimidating clicking noise that sounds like a rapid volley of rifle/cannon fire.
- Collapsing Lunge: A nasty counter technique where Bluto in his hybrid or full form, lunges at a target within second with overwhelming strength and precision.
