Teddy Hike is a powerful bear which wanders across the Drum Rockies, a mountain range on Drum Kingdom. A member of the Gunpowder Company recruited following Red Texas' takeover of Drum, the Hiking Bear proves to be a powerful asset under the group's command, and protects the island with it's mighty pickaxe.

Due to being a member of the Gunpowder Company, Teddy Hike has a bounty of 3,000,000.

Appearance

Teddy Hike is a rather giant specimen of Polar Bear, standing at 9'11" and weighing over 1000 pounds of chiseled bear muscle. Of course, this is hard to tell as it's fur extends a wide distance from it's body, giving it a poofy body shape from those who just see it without actually making contact. It also manages to have a pair of vibrant black eyes as well as various scars across it's back as a result of it's fight with the Gunpowder Company. It's usually walking around using a pickaxe as a walking cane, though it has been known using other long objects as walking canes.

Personality

As a polar bear in it's prime, Teddy Hike is a rather brave yet peaceful individual. Living deep in the Drum Rockies, it rarely gets into contact with the people of Drum but when it does it is generally helpful, sensing the intents of travelers and helping them when they need help in exchange for salmon. While it is incapable of speaking, it usually uses charades in order to let it's intents be known, using it's own pickaxe as a prop. It is also very well-mannered, bowing to everyone as it passes and expecting a bow in return from those who pass it by without needing help, lest it undergo the ancient Hiking Bear tradition of forcing the non-bower into a hour of uninterrupted seiza.

Only a few things have been known to enrage the bear, among them being intentionally causing an avalanche and also innocents being directly harmed in front of it. In a fight, the bear is known to let it's rage be widely known, unleashing it's feral instincts to bring great fear into whoever it's fighting. If it's a animal, the bear usually finishes off his foe, though if it is a human the bear will instead spare it, rolling it down in a snowball to let the common folk arrest the person who earned the bear's ire.

Physical Abilities

As a beast bred primarily for walking across a steep mountain range such as the Drum Rockies, Teddy Hike is a fierce combatant in combat. Using a pickaxe, it is capable of carving out chunks of a mountain as big as a building and using the pick to throw them all in a singular motion, while also being able to bite holes in armor built to be bulletproof. At it's peak, it was capable of pushing back against Red Texas' Red Rocket with enough force to launch it against the Drum Rockies, causing a avalanche that it then ignored by swinging around it's pickaxe.

In terms of speed, the Hiking Bear is plenty fast as well, capable of keeping up with Red Texas and dodging her bullets. Using it's pickaxe, it can knock a dozen soldiers down in a period of 20 seconds, and has reacted to sniper fire from a Isshi-200 medic forced into the role of a sniper, who's reflexes are fast enough to reattach a human head after decapitation before the head dies. However, it has proven unable to keep up with Texas when she pulled out her Carbonation Equipment, proving to be a vital factor to it's loss against her.

When it comes to durability, the bear's skin is incredibly tough due to having to survive dangerous weather over a long period of time. Not only had it managed to block and launch away Texas' Red Rockets, but it was also able to block most of her regular gunshots and could even resist her Fresh Fire, a attack that sets people ablaze. It's stamina is impressive too, able to last through six hours of uninterrupted combat with Red until it finally ran out of steam thanks to a combination of having to survive an avalanche and also Red unlocking how to emit her Haki into her bullets, an ability that finally managed to penetrate the bear's tough skin.

Bear Style

Bear Style is a martial art style exclusively practiced by the Hiking Bear and it's ancestors. A martial art that incorporates a walking stick alongside a bear's natural physique and claws, it is a brutalizing style that is meant to break a person's bones should the Bear be attacked, while also allowing the bear to strike from a sitting position at any point. It's most potent moves however revolve around the use of a walking stick, as the bear is supposed to channel it's strength through a cane in order to launch a unmatched power in the Drum Kingdom.

With the current generation, Teddy Hike is considered a natural expert with Bear Style, only eclipsed by it's late father. It primarily uses a pickaxe in place of it's cane, allowing it to deliver even more power by impaling the foe with a pickaxe's spiked end and also giving it an ability to carve through the sides of mountains to launch deadly boulders at foes. In addition, the bear has also channeled in using it's free hand in order to grab the opponent, allowing it to get quick hits in on it's foes.

Haki

In terms of Haki, Teddy Hike is only capable of using Kenbunshoku Haki and one of the rare beasts who know how to use Haki. Wiser than most animals, it primarily uses Kenbunshoku Haki in order to sense the intents of those who cross the mountain, blocking access to those who it senses wish to harm it. It has also used it's Haki in combat however, dodging attacks by sensing an intent and using it to move before it's foe can land a blow.
