Taiyaki Baklava is a Fishman Marine currently holding the rank of Captain. Despite disliking humans, he joined the Marines to carry on his dead sister's dream of humans and Fish-Men living peacefully together.

Baklava has a distrust and hatred for humans; this stems from his childhood, as he witnessed many pirates pass through Fish-Men Island on their way to the New World. He is often overconfident in his abilities. He joined the Marines because of his dead sister's dream to improve the relationship between Fish-Men and humans, and because of this, he often hides his true feelings for humans when on duty.
Despite his hatred he has a soft spot for young children no matter the race even humans as he doesn't blame them for the actions of there parents.

As a child, Baklava used to get himself into lots of trouble and was even part of a small gang while he lived on Fish-Man Island. He often used to beat up any humans who caused trouble while they visited his home island, much to the displeasure of his younger sister, who often urged him to make peace with the humans. During the War of Empires, Fish-Men Island was constantly invaded by pirates. One such attack took the life of his sister, who, with her finale words, urged him not to take his anger out on the humans. This event stuck with him and was the reason he eventually joined the Marines, where he eventually rose to the rank of captain.
Abilities and Powers[]
Baklava is very physically strong, not just because of his Fishman heritage but also because he constantly fought others when he was young. He also has high endurance and stamina, allowing him to fight for hours without getting tired.
Fish-Men Karate[]
Baklava has some knowledge of Fish-Men Karate due to being self-taught but is nowhere near a master; he only knows a few basic moves and knows how to manipulate some water, though not a whole lot.
Devil Fruit[]

Baklava ate the Numa Numa no Mi, a logia-type fruit that allows him to create, control, and become mud as a young child, and has some great mastery over it.
