Shokujin, or more aptly known as The Devourer (貪食者, Donshoku-sha?) is a Giant hailing from Cloudhead Island. He is known for his decades upon decades of conquests across the New World, eating entire towns with the aid of his monstrous Devil Fruit form.
Due to his upbringing upon Hereafter, Shokujin was exposed to massive amounts of violence and crime from an early age. But he relished in it, seeing it as freeing, even before he had grown. As a child he adored food, but his size made it impossible for him to ever be satisfied. In an attempt to avoid starvation, he began eating anything he could lay his hands on. This gave him his name which he bears to this day, Shokujin.
In his quest to seek out more nourishment, he ate a ship which held the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Drake. Due to his giant genetics, as well as the already large size of the Zoan transformation, Shokujin became able to eat far more things than he could've hoped to before. This was when he realized his dream; To one day eat the stars themselves.
