The Shinzuko or simply Shin, are a humanoid race native to the New World. They possess the unique ability to create ice and freeze objects by cooling down their body temperature to near freezing.
Appearance[]
The appearance of a average Shinzuko member
Shinzuko have a combination of human and dragon-like features most notably dragon-like tails, horns, and sometimes limbs, but also possess human-like heads and torsos with pale skin. The color of their scales and horns mostly comes in different shades of white or blue, though other colors are possible but are rarer.
The dragon parts, such as the tails and horns, bear a similar resemblance to those of Eastern dragons, like fur-like hair growing out of their tails or antler-like horns. No Shinzoku has ever possessed wings.

Biology[]
Shinzuko are no different than humans biologically, apart from their dragon-like limbs. Shinzoku also seem more adept at surviving in higher altitudes, perhaps due to their mountainous home island; like Reptilians, they can't produce hybrids with other scaled races.
Okami Tribe[]
The Okami Tribe are the direct ancestors of modern-day Shinzoku and serve as the "missing link" between Shinzoku and Reptilians. They were formed after members of the Reptilian Tribe were forced underground through unknown means. Having to survive the hotter temperature, their bodies weren't accustomed to it, so they adapted the ability to cool down their bodies to survive, which later adapted to the modern-day Yuki no Iki ability that Shin possesses.
Overall abilities[]
Shinzuko possesses a durable body that can withstand regular gunfire and sword slashes of regular humans but can still get damaged from strong enough attacks, such as cannon fire. Also possessing increased strength and stamina, they can fight much longer than the average humans, and thanks to their heightened endurance, they can continue fighting even after getting inflicted with wounds.
Yuki no iki[]
Yuki no Iki, or Snow Breath, is the racial ability all Shinzoku possess, allowing them to create ice or freeze objects. This unique ability comes from their power to cool down their bodies to freezing temperatures as well as creating freezing cold air from their mouths. The effectiveness of Yuki no Iki is determined through breath control, which can determine how cold their bodies can get or which specific limb cools down, basically allowing the Shin to make the "cold" travel the body.

Past[]
Shinzuko are said to have come from deep below the surface, from an area known as the Cave Sea, an area of caves and caverns that stretch on for miles before coming to the surface an island of extreme mountains and cold temperatures, where they remained to this day.
They are thought to be relatives of the Reptilian Tribe, having instead developed a method of cooling down to survive in the hot temperatures of the cave systems they used to call home and later getting a more humanoid look after coming to the surface, perhaps thanks to contact with humans.
Inter-species Relationships[]
Shinzuko are very valued as slaves due to their abilities, rarity, and long lives. Their scales are also quite valuable and sold as jewelry at very high prices.
Culture[]
They are thought to be descendents of the mighty Kuraokami, who was banished to the deep caves underground after making it snow for countless years on the island that worshipped him.
