The Sea Train Zone is a stretch of sea that must be traversed through during the travels across Paradise, shortly before the Florian Triangle. A series of islands connected by the Sea Trains, the zone is a popular tourist hot-spot on the Grand Line, attracting many pirates to come and see the sights.
Overview[]
The Sea Train Zone is a stretch of ocean spanning the seas around the latter half of the Grand Line. Sandwiched between Long Ring Long Land, the Florian Triangle and Sabaody Archipelago the Zone has many Sea Tracks resting atop the water, making it rough for Pirates to sail through without damaging their hull. By riding among the tracks, the Sea Trains are capable of riding through all manner of weather conditions, including the dreaded Aqua Laguna (A large storm that hits Water 7 every year). Due to this, the Sea Trains are seen as a bastion of travel within this section of sea, and makes ship travel redundant for the average citizens (though not for travelling Pirates or Marines).
Ironically, the capitol of the Sea Train Zone is Water 7, a floating ship-building metropolis resting within the center of the Zone which holds the Blue Station which connects every other station to itself. Due to it's status as a city floating above the waves, it's pull causes the Sea Train's tracks to shift slightly from a day by day basis. As a shipwright's wonderland, it is solely responsible for the construction of new Sea Trains within the Sea Train Zone and as thus is highly guarded by the World Government, especially after the Enies Lobby incident.
Sea Trains[]
Puffing Tom[]
The first fully functioning Sea Train, the Puffing Tom represents the glory of the Sea Train Zone and the ambitions of Water 7 all at once. A steam-engine train, this train travels throughout the tracks of the Sea Train Zone and ferries visitors between Water 7, St. Poplar, San Faldo, Pucci and Enies Lobby. Having taken damage during previous incidents, it has since not only been repaired but expanded upon, including many newly designed cars making it the highest capacity Sea Train in the service.
Puffing Ice[]
Similar in construction to the Puffing Tom, the Puffing Ice is the second Sea Train to operate within the Sea Train Zone. Built as a companion to the initial Sea Train, the Puffing Ice serves to ferry materials rather than people, although it is still capable of holding people just as well with just the flip of a button. In order to prevent crashes, the Puffing Ice serves travel one slot behind the Puffing Tom, arriving thirty minutes after the Tom leaves an island in order to keep up services.
