Oni are a race of humanoids found in the New World and Paradise; they are categorized by having one or more horns on their heads as well as possessing a unique organ that allows them to produce "Thunder." As well as their high resistance to electricity.
Appearance[]
Oni are on average taller than humans and possess one or more horns on their heads, which can grow anywhere, such as on the forehead or sides of the head. Oni are also born with different colored skin, such as red, white, or grey, but other colors can be possible. Their horns can take on all sorts of shapes, sizes, and colors and are sometimes decorated by the Oni. Oni also have a circular pattern that's different between Oni that marks the location of their "Drum." Oni can also possess sharp claws and teeth.
Biology[]
Oni are no different than humans biologically, allowing them to have hybrids with most other races; the only difference is possessing an extra organ in their body called the Thunder Drum, whose location is marked by a circular pattern on their skin that's similar to a Tomoe symbol. The location of the organ and, in turn, the markings can be randomly located around the chest and abdomen regions of the body.
Abilities and Powers[]
Oni are generally stronger than the average human, possessing enough strength to crush stones, though their main ability is the ability to produce thunder through the use of their drums. Oni are also highly resistant to high-voltage electricity such as lightning.
Kaminari[]
The ability to produce thunder, sometimes called Kaminari, is a unique ability to the Oni Tribe; using their drum, they can produce powerful shockwaves comparable to the ones produced by Fish-Men Karate, with the unique addition of the shockwaves sounding like thunder and possessing the power to travel through rock and stone fairly easily, destroying the ground far quicker.
Some Oni who have trained their Kaminari possess the ability called Rumbling, which is where they cuase their limbs or weapons to vibrate, cuasing anything struck with it to have thunder enter violently, cuasing internal damage. Like the name suggests, it sounds like thunder rumbling.
Interspecies Relations[]
Oni are generally unknown to most of the world, with myths popping up from their existence due to them living underground in caves.
Raijin Island[]
Raijin Island is one of the few places in the worl where Oni and humans coexist peacefully.
Culture[]
Oni typically rub or hit their mark as good luck when entering a battle, as they believe they are gifted their abilities from the thunder god and so rub their marks as a way to get them on their side.
