Mushido is an ancient sword style originated from the island of Akitsushima. It has been preserved through the Poneglyph that stores the information on how to perform it and its sister style, Kumodo. It revolves around employing extreme defense and evasiveness in the heat of combat.
Mushido's main focus is based on the usage of ones inherent muscles and strength to increase their defensive and evasive capabilities drastically. It was developed by an unnamed Bug-Man swordsman from many years ago. Its techniques revolve around returning to ones roots and embracing primal instinct to an elevated degree. Despite the simple concept behind the style, it can take years to learn to utilize one of the "modes".
It has has three different "modes" that can be utilized by practitioners of the style. Each of the modes are based off of the concepts behind one of the three Colors of Haki.

Impenetrable Shell (難攻不落の砲弾, Nankōfuraku No Hōdan) By entering a state of sheer and utter calm, the user allows their senses to overtake their thought process. In doing so they become able of automatically moving to defend themselves against attacks, free of any restraining thoughts that may plague their combat ability. It is modeled after the concept of Kenbunshoku Haki, and as such becomes stronger and more efficient when utilized in tandem with it.
Fleeting Bug (つかの間のバグ, Tsukanoma no Bagu) Rather than embrace their instincts and act automatically, Fleeting Bug is achieved by having complete control over one's actions. In doing this it allows the user to go past their body's full potential and reach levels of speed and agility previously unreachable. The mode doesn't increase strength however, focusing primarily on enhancing evasive actions. It is modeled after the concept of Busoshoku Haki, and when utilized with it becomes more powerful.
