Appearance[]

His attire consists of a well-worn, open gray trench coat that hangs tightly over his shoulders, paired with tan stitched pants that suggest that he climbed out of a graveyard. Personality[]
Lazarus exudes a perpetual calmness, his demeanor akin to a stone statue even in the direst of circumstances. His face remains unmoved and unwavering, betraying little emotion, a testament to his supernatural immortality. Having brushed with death countless times, Lazarus has grown numb to its grasp, his psyche hardened by experiences that would shatter others.
Beneath this stoicism, however, lies a surprising compassion. Lazarus despises seeing others endure hardship and suffering, often lending a helping hand where he can. Despite his immortality and hardened exterior, he retains a deep-seated kindness that compels him to intervene and assist those in need.
Despite his immortality, Lazarus is far from reckless. If faced with a foe surpassing his considerable strength, he displays a prudent caution. He understands the extent of his abilities and the folly of engaging in unwinnable battles. This cautiousness is not born of fear or cowardice, but rather a keen awareness of his own limitations.
Lazarus's wisdom in retreat is a strategic maneuver, preserving himself for future confrontations where his skills may prove more advantageous.
Lazarus is notorious for his lethargy, often doing just enough to scrape by in any given task or mission. He approaches his duties with an air of indifference, seemingly unconcerned with deadlines or the expectations of others. To him, there's no urgency to rush or exert more effort than necessary, especially when, in his eyes, time stretches infinitely before him. His immortality has dulled any sense of immediacy, leading him to adopt a philosophy of minimal effort.
This mindset often frustrates those around him, as his nonchalant attitude can be mistaken for carelessness or a lack of dedication. Whether it's a life-threatening battle or a mundane chore, Lazarus always seems to take the path of least resistance, conserving his energy for some future that never seems to arrive. He rationalizes this laziness as efficiency, convinced that overexertion is pointless when the bare minimum gets the job done.
Despite this, Lazarus isn't incompetent; in fact, he's highly capable when he chooses to be, as seen by his commodore rank.

Overview[]
Physical Abilities[]
In terms of strength, Lazarus possesses augmented musculature that grants him the ability to exert tremendous force, surpassing normal human capabilities. His muscle density allows him to lift objects that would typically require multiple individuals, and his strikes deliver concussive force capable of incapacitating opponents with devastating impact.
Lazarus's speed is regular beyond human limits, allowing him to accelerate swiftly from a standstill to a full sprint in mere moments. His agility is exceptional, enabling him to maneuver through complex environments with precision, effortlessly navigating obstacles and making sharp turns. His reflexes are honed to a razor's edge, reacting almost instantaneously to threats whether in combat or evading pursuit, and countering enemy movements with precise timing.
Lazarus's durability is remarkable due to his undead physiology. He exhibits resilience to injury, able to withstand severe physical trauma that would incapacitate or kill an ordinary human. His rapid regeneration not only heals wounds extremely fast, which allows him to continue fighting effectively even under sustained assault.
Endowed with exceptional endurance, Lazarus boasts remarkable stamina that enables sustained physical exertion without succumbing to exhaustion. His pain tolerance is significantly reduced, courtesy of his undead state, allowing him to push through injuries that would cripple others. In combat, he can engage in prolonged battles, leveraging his regeneration to outlast adversaries and secure victory through attrition.
Un-Dead Physiology[]
Despite being able to function like a regular, living human being, Lazaraus is not truly alive in the conventional sense. The "startup" of his brain upon his creation is a facade; it's the regenerative bacteria that his "father" created and then destroyed that keeps him functioning. This bacteria has essentially turned him into an undead entity, a being whose existence defies natural laws.
While Lazarus's brain shows signs of activity, it doesn't function like a normal human brain. The bacteria continuously repairs and stimulates neural connections, maintaining a semblance of consciousness and personality. However, this process is artificial, a constant patchwork of repairs rather than genuine, self-sustained brain function.
Lazarus's body is in a state of perpetual regeneration, but it lacks true biological life. His heart doesn't beat, instead, the bacteria circulates a synthetic fluid throughout his body, mimicking blood flow. His lungs don't require oxygen; the bacteria provide the necessary energy for his cells and he doesn't need to sleep. Traditional medical equipment would register him as deceased.
Lazarus's body heals at an incredibly fast rate, allowing him to survive injuries that would be fatal to others such as regrowing limbs, healing cuts, bruises etc. This regeneration is not just for healing wounds but also sustains his bodily functions, effectively keeping him alive. Due to his cells constantly regenerating and renewing themselves, Lazarus does not age practically making him immortal.
Due to being undead, Lazarus thus has no soul giving him immunity to soul based devil fruits like the Soru Soru no Mi.
