The Kyuu Kyuu no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, that allows the user to absorb energy (physical, heat, etc.) from incoming attacks or their surroundings and store it in order to be used in a plethora of ways, making them a Absorbing Human (吸収人間 Kyūshū Ningen?). It was eaten by Tetsujin.

Etymology[]

  • "Kyuu" comes from the word "kyuushuu" (きゅうしゅう), which means absorption; suction; attraction.

Appearance[]

Strengths and Weaknesses[]

This fruit allows its user to absorb a variety of 'physical' energies, ranging from kinetic energy, thermal energy, radiant/light energy, sound energy, and chemical energy (Energy derived from chemical reactions such as explosions) and more. By doing this, the user is allowed to store the energy in their body and build it up to be used in the future, as well as weaken attacks that may be coming for them.

It does come with limits, however. The user must find a way to balance the stored energy within their body lest they "overload" and it rejects, causing possible self-harm. If they successfully manage to balance and harness the stored energies, the user will be rewarded; allowing them to create a combined energy technique. There is also a time limit on the storage of energy. It can only be stored for a few hours (up to around 2 depending on the amount held), then it dissipates. Due to this, energy must be used in a timely manner. Lastly, if an attack is far too powerful for the user (i.e. a superheated plasma blast), then any attempt to absorb it will backfire and cause internal damages to the user.

Other then that, it suffers from the usual Devil Fruit weaknesses, like Seastone or the sea.
