General Information[]
Kumajima is an island situated in the first half of the Grand Line known as Paradise. This small island is known and named for the colony of bears that lives on the island. Settled by colonists from the Wano Country centuries ago it's people have lived in harmony with bears that call this island home.
Geography[]
The island is split into two territories, the first territory is controlled by the bears, the other half is owned and controlled by the Bearsplitter Clan. While the locations are split and there are official lines that mark the territory both sides have been known to cross into each other's territory.
The village of the Bearsplitter Clan used to be home to hundreds of civilians living their lives mostly isolated from the outside world and living peaceful lives adjacent to nature before they were massacred.
The island is in truth an archipelago, a series of smaller islands that are located in close enough proximity to each other. Many of the smaller islands have rivers of fresh water running through them that have been connected by man-made stone bridges.
Locations[]
Village of the Bearsplitter Clan[]
The single village located on the island was modeled after villages in Wano as the settlers were originally from the Wano Country. The village was surrounded by nature and multiple farming plots to feed the villagers.
Bear Cave[]
On the island exists a singular massive cave that is the home to the native bear population. It is the seat of their power and permission to go inside the cave belongs solely to the King of the Bears, Kudo.
Shrines[]
There are multiple shrines dedicated to different entities on the island. The oldest shrine is dedicated to the ancestors who have long since passed on and helped to cultivate the island. The next shrine is dedicated to the bears that live on the island, pilgrimages are made annually to pray at the shrines on behalf of the bears for their good health. The third and final shrine, which is the most recently built one is dedicated to those that were killed in the massacre that occurred in 1605.

History[]
Past[]
Over a century ago, the remote island that would become known as Kumajima, was settled by a group of Samurai from the Wano Country, taking with them the Meito and Black Blade Tormenta. The settlers would soon become known as the Bearsplitter Clan named as such for their conquest of and eventual cohabitation with the population of bears native to the island. In the year 1605 the island and it's settlers were attacked by a group of mercenaries razing the island to the ground. The lone survivor of the massacre was Bearsplitter Bartho who dedicated himself to honing his skills and rebuilding the island.
