Kaze Fujiwara, born Kaze D. Fujiwara, is a pirate and bounty hunter hailing from East Blue. However, after events that took place during the War of Empires, he was relocated to the West Blue.
Born in the Naganutsu Kingdom, a kingdom affiliated to the World Government, he quickly realized how the world viewed people wearing his initial, the "Will of D.". It gave Kaze an intense hatred for the entitled elite and the oppressive system of the World Government, a hatred that eventually gave him the wings he needed to escape and set sail, although he was only a teenager. At sea, he was rescued by a pirate crew, who took him under their wing as a pirate apprentice.
However, during the War of the Empires, tragedy befell him and his crew, who were totally destroyed at the gateway to the New World. Fujiwara was one of the few spared from the devastation, left to witness the destruction of everything he and the others had fought for. With his crew gone and his world shattered, he returned to square one. Seeking refuge in the West Blue, one of the four Blue Seas, Fujiwara reinvented himself as a bounty hunter.
The past may have been lost, but his journey was far from over, for he is currently sailing the seas of West Blue, still boiling with ambition and waiting for the perfect opportunity to return to the spotlight as captain of his own crew.
His goal is nothing less than to destabilize the world’s balance and restore the glory of piracy to its rightful place, for he believes himself to be the only one capable of achieving such a monumental feat. In his heart burns the conviction that the seas, once ruled by the free and untamed, must rise again. To Fujiwara, this isn't just a dream—it's his destiny, one he's determined to fulfill with all the strength and passion of a true pirate.
Appearance[]
Physical Appearance[]
When he was younger, Fujiwara looked his age. He was only four feet tall and rather skinny. Although he was much less imposing than average, he still had that piercing gaze and pertubing aura that often caused others to shy away from him.
As for his physical characteristics, the first thing one would notice would be his long, straight hair, which reached almost to the middle of his back. Apart from that, one would also have noticed her eyes, which are blessed with a sparkling, almost ethereal green. They literally look like they're glowing.
In the year 1620, Fujiwara reemerges with a more refined appearance. His physical transformation is striking—having grown from a mere four feet to a formidable six feet and eight inches of solid stature.
His face has become more angular, with a square jaw that accentuates the maturity of his features. His eyes, though still carrying the same intense gaze and neutral expression, now have darker outlines around them.
Two significant changes Fujiwara has undergone are the care he now gives to his hair and the addition of facial hair. He styles his hair, pulling it back while leaving a few strands to fall casually over his forehead. He also sports a three-day beard, with a notably prominent goatee, giving him a more refined yet rugged look.

Personality[]
However, he has a rather hot-tempered character, capable of becoming so enraged that he becomes unrecognizable. He's also a man who'll go to any length to seek revenge.
Surprisingly, belying his usual cool attitude, he can be quite prideful and even childishly competitive,
He embraces every aspect of pirate life—the theft, the pillaging, the sea battles, and the camaraderie between crewmates. To him, there is no such thing as an "honorable act" in piracy, because honor holds no value in their world. He has no hesitation in using betrayal, group attacks, or even deceitful tactics like ambushes and traps, believing that all methods are fair in the pursuit of victory.
If there's one thing he loathes, it's cowards. In his opinion, anyone who isn't prepared to sacrifice their life for their dreams doesn't deserve to sail the seas, and he wouldn't hesitate to call such people "wimps" when he meets them. But, rather contradictorily, he also believes that a person who dies defending his or her dreams doesn't deserve any extra respect either, because he or she was "too weak" to fight for his or her values until the end. Fujiwara is very blunt when responding to people and usually does not bother himself with excuses or apologies for his words and actions
Like any self-respecting pirate, Fujiwara is particularly greedy, and wants to grab as much wealth and power as he can. Whether it's a map, a bounty, or just a ship, as long as it's useful, he wants it.
Fujiwara's other remarkable traits are his overweening confidence and arrogance. He's capable of openly boasting about a feat, or even thinking about the rewards of a feat before he's even done it. He may also openly mock an opponent in the middle of a fight. But his greatest feat of confidence would surely be the fact that he believes himself as the sole capable of changing the current state of the world, and restoring piracy to its former glory, calling himself the only "true pirate."

Sangre del Mar[]
- Main article: Sangre del Mar
Fujiwara wields the Sangre del Mar (海血 Kaiketsu?, lit. meaning, Blood of the Sea) a cutlass named after his former crew's ship. The blade features a sharp, curved edge with a red, flame-shaped red hamon that resembles blood flow, reminiscing of the Kitetsu swords. A black bo-hi, or full-length groove, runs through the center of the blade, adding to its menacing appearance while reducing weight. The guard is crafted in gold and shaped like a snake. At the pommel, the design takes a delicate turn, resembling a flower petal—an unexpected contrast to the blade’s brutal nature.

Equipment[]
As equipment, Fujiwara has two flintlock rifles, secured in place by the sash around his hips and always at hand. Thus, he is as capable of long-distance combat as he is of hand-to-hand, giving him an already considerable advantage before entering into any confrontation.
He also always carries a bag of explosives, like TNT, at all times. These look like little marbles but are, contrary to what one might think, very devastating. A handful of them are easily capable of wiping a building off the face of the earth.
