Karuna is a medicinal drug developed by Zhuque Ehuang for use within the Marines which, by decreasing the time spent for wounds to heal, allow marines to get back into the field at record speeds.

Karuna is a medicinal drug created by Admiral Zhuque Ehuang to better aid marines in their missions. Karuna takes the form of a pill that, when administered to a person who has sustained injuries be they minor or debilitating, will activate dormant stem cells in the body to hasten the natural regernative abilities of the patient. When administered to those suffering from minor injuries little in the way of side-effect may occur. However, those suffering from lacerations or internal injuries will feel weak and tired as a result of the body's stamina being drained for the purposes of increasing their healing factor. This can often require patients to remain in bed for several days. However, this is considered a much better alternative to weeks or months of recovery time that would normally be required.
History[]
Karuna was developed by Zhuque Ehuang in the year 1608 to aid her fellow marines who have been injured in the endless battle against the pirate threat. Though first only used by those amongst those stationed at the same marine base with herself, after being submitted to the Marine's R&D department it would later become mass produced and added to the basic supplies being shipped to marine bases throughout the Grand Line by the year 1611.
During the War of Empires, Kuruna helped to keep marines on the front lines, aiding in the battle against the Yonko alliance.
