Jadoku-Ken is a powerful longsword that stands as one of the Meito blades. It was made by a blacksmith in ancient times, and has been revered ever since as a sacred sword due to its unique properties.
This blade was forged by a renowned blacksmith and king of a New World kingdom as a final offering to his people. It was then placed as a royal treasure and revered as a deity thanks to an unique trait of it. It ingested a Devil Fruit, the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Laophis, which turned this sword into a sentient being.
It resided in this kingdom for hundreds of years before being stolen by the pirate Kairos Thieron, and given to his daughter Kairos Andromeda as a gift.
Appearance[]
In his snake form, Jadoku-Ken appears as a huge viper, over 4m long. He has piercing red eyes and a hunter's gaze. On his head is a blood-red tattoo, given to him at "birth". The length of his body is lined with majestic golden scales, giving him a totally ethereal look.
Personality and Relationships[]
Jadoku-Ken is a very narcissistic, arrogant and egocentric being. In fact, having been worshipped since its "birth" as a jewel, a divinity, has given it a very high self-esteem and, at the same time, raised its standards beyond the bounds of sanity. For example, it revolts when it thinks it's too dirty, hoisting himself up all day long and not stopping until he gets care that he feels is equal to its splendor.
Jadoku-Ken hates being ordered around, and will act of its own free will when the limit of orders he can tolerate is exceeded.
It likes to be handled delicately, hating to have its cheek too tight or to be swayed carelessly. This gives it a rather unbearable character for anyone who doesn't know how to handle it, a character often pointed out by its user. It takes great pride in its snake appearance, remaining in this form for most of the time, and finding it odd that most of the other living creatures it's met so far don't look like him.
It has an apparent contempt for the weak, and will not tolerate being handled in combat by anyone other than those who have proven themselves to him before, going so far as to bite a potential user if it finds them too weak for his own taste.
On the other side of the coin, Jadoku-Ken loves to be handled skillfully in combat, and would show docility and admiration for the few strong hands that have held it. This is one of the reasons why Andromeda, its current owner, enjoys its unlimited loyalty and trust.
Powers and Abilities[]
In its sword form, Jadoku-Ken is very easy to handle, very sharp and very resilient. Thanks to his Devil Fruit, he has become incredibly durable, having never suffered any substantial damage in combat. Also, having been in countless battles, it is also highly intelligent and can move of its own accord if it believes it is a better solution than the one its owner has opted for. This can cause contradictions in the fight between the two, but a contradiction that often leads to a better result.
Devil Fruit[]

Jadoku-Ken "devoured" the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Laophis, an Ancient Zoan-type Devil Fruit enabling him to take on the form of a Laophis, a species of giant prehistoric viperid snake. As a result, he obtains the sentience and ability to use his animal's abilites, first and foremost its venom. Indeed, Jadoku-Ken has the ability to produce an extremely potent venom which, once it has penetrated a body, prevents coagulation, induces immense pain and causes a respiratory failure in its victim, making them incredibly vulnerable. Thus, the mere touch of this being, in any of its forms, proves to be incredibly dangerous for any adversary.
Also, as an Ancient Zoan, he gains the abnormal ability to lengthen in a flash and seemingly without precise limit. This can prove to be an incredibly lethal move, as an opponent out of range could easily be caught off-guard by the sword itself lengthening to reach him, regardless of the distance.

- The decision to make the durability of this sword its strong point comes from the fact that the name "Laophis" means "Stone Snake" in Ancient Greek.
- Like the other Ancient Zoans we've seen, this sword is equipped with an abnormal ability given to it by its fruit, in this case the ability to stretch without precise limit. This is because the Laophis is, to date, the most massive viperid ever discovered.
