"Deadshot" Ishihara Yukine is a Bounty Hunter in the New World. Originally hailing from Baterilla, Yukine was rebuilt from the ground up after being irreversibly wounded twenty years ago. Abandoning his position as a Marine, he left in search of a better life for himself in a world that forgot him.

Yukine now operates the House of Hearts of the Seven Spades Club, where he fights at the side of Blackburn V. Pluto.

Appearance[]

At first glance, it would be fairly easy to mistake Ishihara Yukine as a full on robot, as that's what he looks like. Yukine sports a charcoal and silver colored body, and is obviously heavily modified beyond your typical augmentations. It's hard to tell he is even human, as a large mask covers what face he has left and everything else is seemingly metal.

Yuki's bare metallic chest is coated with slash scars, obvious by the deep marks and missing paint. Yukine's hair is pokes out by a large amount behind his head, the white hair stands stiff out of the helmet, and appears a bit spikey upon closer inspection. Lit with a set of led eyes used for expression, the mask provides a wide range of emotion via it's lighting. In the past, Yuki prided himself on his above average appearance, but today he seems to be hiding away his face from the world.

Yukine sports a charcoal and silver colored body which wears a pair of black pants that hang off his hips. These hips are accompanied with a loose studded belt, and trailing upwards you would find a wonderful set of metallic abs, along with a bare 'chest' being hugged by an unzipped red puff jacket that was much too small for him to keep warm with.

Said jacket sports a colorful set of fun buttons, and is cuffed at each sleeve and at the neck. To finish the look, Yukine wears a modified pair of bright red high-tops. Even with being obviously homemade they look as stylish as they do dangerous.

Personality[]

Yukine's personality is tough to describe without having personally interacted with him. Giving off an innate intimidating vibe from appearance alone, one would expect him to be an all business killer machine. Though he's certainly that in a conflict, with his peers he is well mannered and generally calm. Though Yukine is wary of participating socially with those he doesn't know well, he craves the closeness generated by a family and doesn't enjoy being left alone.

Yuki enjoys screwing around, laughing and telling jokes, which often sets him apart from a few of his comrades. Behind this goofy demeanor lies a diligent, decisive fighter that trains himself with utter discipline. Despising failure more than anything, Yuki cannot stand losing in any context. Conceding is a trait of the weak, If he concedes he is weak; if he is weak he does not have a use.

Over his time bounty hunting, he’s learned that he really enjoys the freedom of the sea and the new agency he has over his life. Therefore, it can be incredibly tough to get him to follow directions. Yuki really only gives the time of day to people he respects, and anyone else can kick rocks. Much of his old personality before the modification has been retained. Yuki is often rather silly and loves to laugh and joke with friends even in the midst of combat.

It’s not something he’d easily admit, but he craves companionship on a deep level and despises being left alone to his own devices given a deep unresolved fear of abandonment. After being left behind by his previous friends in the Marines, Yuki has come to accept that he will always be viewed differently for what he is, and has not been proven otherwise in his career as a bounty hunter.

Yukine decided that given his second chance at life, he’d live it to the fullest and never stop pushing forward. He cares greatly about his own strength and usefulness, and has an incredible disdain for losing. Most of the time, he’s a pretty bad sport. Even something stupid as losing Rock Paper Scissors will sour his mood for the remaining day.

Ishihara Yukine takes great pride in his incredible marksmanship, and is constantly training his eyes and senses to be a better shot. Despite his wild fighting style, each shot has a dedicated destination and he is said to rarely miss a target. Yuki's intense determination to improve himself draws on a fear of not being useful to others, and he definitely tries his hardest to be a people pleaser so that they will stick around. Once he is sworn to something, he will not give it up until he is physically immobile. The cyborg would rather get torn to pieces than concede to an enemy, which often causes problems with his odds of survival in a tough fight.

Due to his accident, Yukine will sometimes be startled by nearby explosions or cannonfire. It's one of the few things that can break his concentration, and he's heavily embarrassed and troubled by it. Considering he spent 20 years by himself with nothing but his own thoughts and what he could hear around him, it's commendable that he didn't lose his mind during the ordeal. Much of it was spent in a period of dissociation, and Yukine still tends to do so to this day.

Abilities and Powers[]

Given that he is a cyborg, Yukine's body is heavily augmented and mostly robotic. Besides the sturdy armor he was provided when he was rebuilt, he holds many mechanisms hidden from plain view that enhance his fighting prowess.

Physical Abilities[]

Ishihara Yukine stands at a foreboding height for the average man, and the chassis he was built with was state of the art at the time. It utilizes many small hydraulic mechanisms to make moving his heavy body rather easy, therefore he has a strangely quick control over his metallic self.

Yukine exhibits inhumane strength, which makes sense considering he's not very human anymore.

Although his body is modeled nearly one to one with a typical human body, Immense durability lies within this gunmetal chassis, and Yukine is designed to progress as a human would. This cyborg learns as he lives, and grows stronger with each defeated enemy.

Also equipped with pain inhibitors he can toggle on and off, Yukine is not very good at knowing when to stay down. He will fight endlessly to achieve a goal, and will reduce himself to pieces as to not be defeated.

Modifications[]

  • Yukine's vocal chords were extremely damaged in the explosion, and therefore he utilizes a voice filter within his mask. The filter amplifies his voice but has a slight digital filter to it, giving Yukine a bit of a matching robotic voice with his mask on.
  • Rockets are built into Yukine's shoes and legs to aid him in propulsion and amplifying his kicks.
  • Built into his forearms are prototype shotgun gauntlets that is perfect for hand to hand combat. Throwing slugs and even small explosives along with his punches, Yukine has incredible destructive power in hand to hand despite being known for his ranged abilities.
  • Yukine's face is covered by an intricate retractable mask. It allows him to sufficiently emote during conversation without having to expose his damaged face. The mask's eyes are built in with an intense scoping system that intends to aid in long distance shots.

Fighting Style[]

Despite being a Sniper, Yuki doesn’t mind getting up close and personal in a fight. The fighting style Yukine exhibits is very ‘in your face.’ It’s flashy, fast, and incredibly careless at times. Yukine enjoys nothing more than diving into the thick of it to pull everyone’s attention with his flashy fighting style. Often loving a challenge, Yukine will make certain shots harder for himself by imposing handicaps. It could be closing his eyes or shooting behind his back to name a few.

Techniques[]

Overclock: Upon being electrocuted, it becomes apparent that the material that comprises most of Yuki's body is extremely conductive. There are several nodes within the joints of Yukine's body that seem to be storage for excess electricity. Upon receiving said excess, Yukine's senses, speed, and power are immediately enhanced for a short period of time.

  • After said time expires, Yukine will collapse into a brief sleep mode for about 5 minutes because of the overload.

Bionic Chokeslam: Often how Yuki likes to enter a fight, he'll rush forward and grab the target by the neck, lifting them up and cratering them into the ground. As he slams them into the ground, he detonates an explosive from his wrist gauntlet at point blank. This addition will often damage him a bit, but Yukine likes it for it's ability to inspire fear in onlookers for it's brutal nature.

Artillery Rush: A typical finishing move of Yuki's, he'll load up his gauntlets full of shotgun shells and use his mechanical body to punch at rapid speeds, firing a blast off with each punch. It's usually finished with a final brutal punch and a loud 'YORA!'

History[]

Ishihara Yukine was born on the island of Baterilla in the South Blue in December of 1576. Not much is known of the Ishihara family, as they were regarded as very quiet and typical. Yukine’s father Norisuke was renowned as a Rear Admiral of the Marines and is said to have perished in a pirate skirmish. Nothing else is known about the Ishihara’s family life. Yukine followed in his father’s footsteps and enlisted as soon as he was of age. He served much of his youth in the Marines as a foot soldier and acted as a peacekeeper in several small islands all over the South Blue. After being nearly killed in a battle at sea, Yukine suffered horrendous damage and burns to his body. The young marine was only saved due to the fast action of a scientist traveling on their battleship and was the perfect subject for a new type of treatment she was developing. Yukine lost both his legs and his left arm in the conflict, and was rebuilt with a set of robotic limbs and armor. The treatment was designed to modify injured soldiers so they did not have to be discharged after injury, and it certainly seemed to work in Yukine’s case. Though it took the scientist a lot longer than she realized to finish the treatment.

Yukine spent 20 years with his body in an artificial coma as the scientist worked to save him. It ended up beings her life's work to bring him back from the brink, though she didn't know that his mind was lucid throughout the entire time she spent fixing him.

The resurrected cyborg served for a short period after his rehabilitation but found he didn’t belong among his comrades anymore. Many seemed to ignore the fact that underneath the cold gunmetal armor, Yukine was just a simple young man they had befriended already years prior. Over time he was generally ostracized among his comrades more and more for his strange appearance. This created a distressing period in his life of feeling that he didn’t belong anywhere, and the son of Captain Ishihara deserted his post, fleeing from his duty in 1602.

Many would call him a coward for deserting, but Yuki knew that it wasn’t where he belonged. Too much time had passed, and he had taken notice of much of the Marine’s growing corruption. He decided that he would rather be an outlaw than associate with the group that preached a sick vindicated form of justice. Blessed with a second chance at life, Ishihara Yukine is now a somewhat notable bounty hunter in the New World. Now tasked with finding his place in a world that forgot him, he is known to be an incredible marksman that supposedly can shoot a mouse through the eye at 300 meters. It’s rare he misses a target, and is rightfully feared for it.
