Strengths and Weaknesses[]

The Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Cerberus is a Mythical Zoan type Devil fruit that allows the user to transform into a full or hybrid form of the guardian of the underworld, Cerberus.

The full transformation of the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Cerberus sees the user transforming into a large, grotesque, three-headed, black dog. Short black fur covers the Cerberus' body from her to toe, short, cropped ears with a long, broad, square-shaped snout on each head, loose flaps of skin around it's mouths see the black dog constantly drooling. The Cerberus lacks eyes, making up for this shortcoming through a keen sense of smell which it uses to locate and consume anything it wishes. The Cerberus finds itself lacking in mobility as a result of a large, swollen belly which it must drag along the ground to move. Making up for this lack of mobility with each head possessing a long neck which it can stretch out to bite at anything nearby.

Like with all Mythical Zoans, the Cerberus is in command of a mythical ability, the Cerberus' mythical ability is that of Famine (飢饉, Kikin), upon activation of this mythical ability an aura around the Cerberus will see all food and beverages begin to quickly rot and spoil, meat decaying, milk spoiling, grain rotting, water stagnating leaving everything in its wake unconsumable to any but the Cerberus itself which will glady stuff down the spoiled food and drink, an avatar of gluttony, indulging in what it denies others

  • Digest (しょうかえき, shoukaeki) is a technique that sees Gulliver vomitting up the stomach acid from the Cerberus' overfilled, swollen belly, this highly corrosive stomach aside will quickly eat away at nearly anything that it comes into contact with.

Trivia[]

Behind the Scenes[]

  • The Overall theme of the Cerberus is derived from its depiction in Dante Alighieri famous 14th century epic poem "The Inferno" in which Cerberus is depicted as the guardian of the 3rd Circle of Hell, Gluttony where in those guilty of the sin were forced to sit, fasting in a cold rain, unable to enjoy any of the food or drink they enjoyed in life.
  • The Famine ability is derived from the story of the 12 trials of Heracles, specifically the trial in which Heracles captured the three-headed dog. Upon letting Cerberus go the dog was said to have ran all the way back to the Underworld, stopping only to pee. It was stated that wherever Cerberus stopped to relieve himself the plantlife there would die and nothing would ever grow there again.
