Infested Waters[]

Little Bird Island ~ September, 1620 ~ 3:00 PM

Little Bird Island is a small remote island just near Warland. The island was surrounded by large trees that only spread across the shores of the island creating a ring fence of birch and timber. Inside the tree ring was a flat plain, with tall grass and a few hills. The island was in spring, and home to many different bird-like creatures.

A member of the Ragnarok Pirates, Tyr found himself on the island. He wore a golden helmet with wings on the side, his red and black shaggy hair covered his forehead and his large horns stuck out of his head. Around his torso, he wore a white button-up shirt that was undone revealing his muscular body. Around his waist was a green and golden sash, coupled with brown pants and black boots. He also wore a black cape around his shoulders.

He was looking for a good battle, Warland was getting too boring for him, and he wanted to go out and get thrills on his own. So far all he'd come across were large birds which he defeated and cooked for his lunch.

"I wonder if there are going to be any people here, all I've come across was a few chickens," he said as he chuckled to himself. His large stature of a staggering 16 feet tall was draw-dropping, not quite the size of a giant but somewhere in between. As he walked the sound of his steps thundered through the open valley, alerting anyone of his incoming presence.

Nereus stood at the helm of the Liberty’s Dawn, the ship swaying gently in the calm waters surrounding Little Bird Island. The sun shone brightly overhead, casting a golden hue across the vibrant scenery. As he surveyed the island, its lush greenery and the sounds of chirping birds filled his senses. A feeling of adventure coursed through him, mingling with the urgency of his mission.

Having been separated from the Liberty Pirates during a storm, Nereus took a deep breath, steeling himself for whatever awaited him on the island. He tightened his grip on the ship’s railing, his vibrant purple dreadlocks flowing like waves behind him, reflecting the sunlight. The turquoise of his skin gleamed, and his amber eyes sparkled with determination.

“Time to see what treasures or troubles this island holds,” he muttered to himself, his voice a low rumble filled with excitement.

He leaped onto the soft, grassy shore, his powerful legs propelling him forward. The impact of his landing sent a tremor through the ground, and he stood tall, taking in the sights and sounds of Little Bird Island.

As he walked further inland, Nereus felt the grass brush against his calves, the gentle spring breeze carrying the scent of blooming flowers. “This place feels alive,” he mused, a smile creeping onto his face. His senses were heightened, eager for the thrill of battle or the chance to liberate anyone who might be in need.

Suddenly, the distant sound of thunderous footsteps echoed through the valley, shaking the ground beneath him. Curiosity piqued, he turned toward the sound, ready to confront whatever formidable presence lurked nearby.

“Looks like I’m not alone after all,” he said with a grin, his heart racing at the prospect of a worthy opponent. “Let’s see who—or what—awaits me in this little paradise.”

With newfound determination, Nereus moved toward the source of the sound, prepared to face whatever challenges awaited him on Little Bird Island.

Tyr turned his head, "Someone's finally here," he said smiling putting the dead birds on the ground. His eyes glowed red as he swiveled his head, there at the far side of the open field stood a blue man.

"Another creature, I wonder what this one tastes like!" He said licking his lips. He started to get down on all fours, like an animal. Flexing his muscles he darted toward the blue man, like a wolf to a deer. His speed for his size was incredible, he zipped and zagged, "I can tell he's a hunter too, this is going to be fun," Finally leaping into the air he performed a triple front flip.

"Kyojin..." Cocking his right hand behind his head, his hand erupted with haki, giving a sleek red look, its pattern of flames marking him. "...Geki". He threw his right fist downward, sending his body propelling toward the Fishman.

The weight and raw strength behind this punch alone erupted the field, knocking over the forestry behind them clearing a straight path toward the shore. It sent vibrations rippling through the air with sparks of haki spilling from its wake, although it was only a short burst.

Nereus barely had time to react to the immense figure barreling toward him, his amber eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation. The sheer speed and raw power behind Tyr’s movements were impressive, especially for someone of his colossal size. This wasn’t just some brute looking for a fight—this was a predator.

As Tyr’s haki-infused punch descended, the air around Nereus crackled with energy. He could feel the oppressive force of the blow before it even reached him, the ground beneath his feet trembling. But Nereus had faced titans before. His muscles tensed as his instincts kicked in.

With a swift motion, he shifted his stance, planting his feet firmly in the ground. His body moved with a fluid grace as he raised his hand, his arm encased in the shimmering blue aura of Fish-Man Karate. Water droplets from the air around him seemed to gather and coalesce around his palm, swirling into a vortex of power.

"Fish-Man Karate: Gosenmaigawara Seiken!" Nereus roared, his voice carrying over the roaring winds as he thrust his palm upward, meeting Tyr's haki-infused punch head-on. The force of their collision sent shockwaves rippling through the island, flattening the tall grass and sending birds scattering into the air. The ground beneath them buckled and cracked under the sheer impact, creating a small crater at the point of contact.

For a moment, the world seemed to stand still as both warriors held their ground, neither giving an inch. Nereus could feel the intense heat of Tyr’s haki against his palm, but his resolve didn’t waver. He gritted his teeth, muscles straining as he pushed back with all his might, using the force of the water gathered around him to cushion the blow.

"You're strong," Nereus said, a grin spreading across his face, his voice calm despite the pressure mounting between them. "But you picked the wrong one today."

With a sudden surge of power, Nereus spun to the side, letting Tyr’s fist crash into the ground behind him. The earth erupted in a cloud of debris, but Nereus remained poised, the momentum of his spin carrying him into his next move. His leg swept low, aiming to trip Tyr with a powerful water-infused kick.

"Let's see how well you can swim, beast!" he shouted, eyes flashing with determination as he unleashed his counterattack.

Tyr could feel the power form this mans martial arts, his undying thirst for battle had finally come. Weight shifted causing Tyr to be caught off guard, with his weight shifting forward his fist destroyed the ground further lodging his arm deep within the earth. Turning his gaze, there was only a moment to react. The Fishman swung his leg into a powerful kick.

Tyr's ribcage exposed was a perfect hit, the topside of his foot landing flat onto his body. Though the Fishmen would come to notice the tuff skin of Tyr, almost as if striking a thick iron wall.

The pirate was sent hurdling across the forest, breaking through several trees before catching his balance off a larger tree, he was covered in dirt and debris. He took his hat off revealing his long wavy red and black hair with his sharp horns. His hat hung on a string tie around his neck.

"It's on!" Tyr shouted, pouncing from the tree, shattering it from his take off. He was nimble and massive as he weaved through the trees throwing occasional punches to break trees he was unable to dodge in time. Reaching the field once again he pointed out to the blue man.

"What's your name, I want to remember you," Tyr said, with his tongue hanging out his mouth, while his eyes looked hungry.

Nereus watched as Tyr hurtled through the trees, his powerful kick landing with the force of a tidal wave. Yet, despite the impact, the man's body had felt unnaturally solid, like striking iron. Nereus's amber eyes glinted with interest as Tyr emerged from the debris, clearly undeterred and grinning wildly, his excitement palpable. This was no ordinary opponent—this man lived for battle, much like the warriors Nereus had encountered in his past.

The Fishman took a steady breath, feeling the rhythm of the ocean in his veins as Tyr made his way back, charging like a rampaging beast. The earth quaked beneath the weight of Tyr’s movements, his punches sending trees crashing to the ground as if they were mere twigs. Nereus’s instincts sharpened, his body relaxed yet poised, ready for the next clash.

As Tyr came to a stop and pointed at him, asking for his name, Nereus couldn’t help but smirk. "Nereus, Captain of the Liberty Pirates. And yours?" His voice was calm, but there was a fire behind his words, a sense of respect for a fellow warrior who fought with such raw intensity.

"The name Tyr."

Without waiting for an answer, Nereus shifted his stance slightly, his arms loose at his sides as water from the air and earth began to coalesce around him once more, swirling in a faint mist. "I’ll remember you too, Tyr. But only if you survive."

In a flash, Nereus lunged forward, his movements swift and precise, closing the distance between them in an instant. As he neared Tyr, he brought his hand down in a powerful, fluid arc.

"Fish-Man Karate: Murasame!" he called out, releasing a concentrated blast of water that sliced through the air, aimed directly at Tyr’s chest with the force of a crashing wave. The water itself shimmered with haki, giving it an edge that could slice through steel.

Tyr braced himself crossing his haki-covered arms and protecting himself from the water, he held his stance briefly before breaking the guard. He quickly followed up with an upper knee toward Nereus his gut. His large knee covering most of his midsection.

Nereus felt the force of Tyr's knee driving upward like a boulder launched from a cannon, the sheer size and speed of the blow leaving little room to evade. Instinct took over, and in a fraction of a second, Nereus shifted his weight and twisted his torso to lessen the impact.

The knee collided with his side, sending a shockwave of pain through his ribs, but Nereus didn’t allow himself to falter. His body, resilient from years of battle, absorbed the blow, though he could feel the raw power behind it.

Using the momentum of the hit, Nereus spun backward, creating distance between them. His sharp eyes locked onto Tyr’s, seeing the wild hunger in them. "Impressive," Nereus muttered.

His body began to move with the fluidity of water, a deep breath steadying his core. He dashed in once more, this time quicker than before, darting low and fast. As he closed in, his arm shot out, aiming a precision strike at Tyr's inner thigh with Fish-Man Karate: Gyojin Jab—targeting a key pressure point to disrupt his stance. If he could throw Tyr off balance, he could exploit an opening.

The smaller fighter is much harder to keep up with than the giants from Elbaf everything was much bigger there and Tyr was among the smallest. Being on the other side of things he could tell why having a smaller size could be useful. It also had it's downsides.

Nereus jabbed at his inner thigh of his left leg, Tyr buckled as his stance dropped to one knee. At the same time, Tyr rolled his shoulder above Nereus, his hand still coated went to smack the fishmen into the ground.

Nereus felt the impact of his jab connect, watching Tyr's stance buckle under the pressure, but the larger man’s resilience was far greater than expected. Before Nereus could follow up, Tyr rolled his shoulder with surprising speed, bringing his massive haki-coated hand down like a hammer.

Nereus attempted to evade, but the sheer size and speed of Tyr's arm left him with little room to maneuver. The edge of Tyr's palm struck Nereus’s shoulder with immense force, sending a wave of pain through his body and slamming him into the ground with a sickening thud. The impact cracked the earth beneath him, and for a moment, Nereus felt the weight of the blow ripple through his bones.

But the Fishman wasn’t done yet. Gritting his teeth through the pain, he swiftly recovered, using his natural agility to roll away from a potential follow-up attack. His shoulder throbbed, but he quickly got back on his feet, his amber eyes locked onto Tyr with renewed focus.

"You pack a punch," Nereus grunted, rotating his sore shoulder as he regained his stance. "But you’re not the only one who can hit hard."

Summoning the water particles from the air, Nereus gathered moisture into his hand, forming a spiraling orb of compressed water. With a sharp inhale, he shot forward, using the momentum of his dash to launch the orb directly at Tyr's midsection with Fish-Man Karate: Water Shot Cannon—the pressure behind it powerful enough to rival a cannonball.

Nereus shot toward Tyr, his speed was powerful, disrupting the very dirt and soil between his feet. Tyr eyebrows narrowed while his teeth gleamed in the light, his eyes were locked onto Nereus to the point of drolling falling from his mouth from extreme focus and concentration. His knee was still numb although the feeling slowly started coming back to him.

It was like a water canon Nereus thrusted his attack toward Tyr, the ball starting out small before expanding as the distance grew. The cutting sounds of high-moving waters embraced Tyr. Planting both of his hands into the ground, he pulled with his might, the small quakes from the ground ripped upwards releasing pockets of air before Tyr managed to rip a giant piece of the island above his head.

He heaved the land towards Nereus, the water orb hitting the island and smashing it into pieces, but this only caused a rain shower of debris of rock and earth towards the fishmen.

As Nereus's powerful water cannon collided with the massive chunk of land Tyr had heaved, it shattered into a thousand fragments, sending a torrential rain of debris cascading down toward the Fishman. Nereus quickly realized that dodging the entire barrage would be near impossible—each chunk of earth was large enough to deal damage and disrupt his footing.

Nereus responded swiftly, planting his feet firmly in the dirt as his arms moved with precision, executing rapid strikes in all directions. Each blow connected with the incoming debris, his Fish-Man Karate techniques allowing him to deflect, shatter, or slice through the falling rocks with fluid movements. The impact of every strike resonated in the air like thunderclaps, leaving a trail of shattered earth in his wake.

Though quick, even Nereus couldn’t avoid every piece. A sizable chunk struck his left side, sending a sharp pain through his ribs and briefly knocking him off balance. He grunted, pain temporarily going throughout his body, but he maintained his focus. The thrill of battle surged through him, fueling his determination.

With a surge of power, Nereus launched himself upward, kicking off the debris beneath him, his powerful legs propelling him straight toward Tyr in an arc. In the air, he gathered more moisture, his hands crackling with water energy as he executed a spinning mid-air kick, sending a crescent-shaped blade of water hurtling toward Tyr with Fish-Man Karate: Water Severing Kick—aimed to slice through whatever came next.

Tyr smiled, his long tongue hanging from his mouth, on all fours he again darted towards Nereus as he too launched himself toward Tyr. A crescent moon slash, molded from a powerful kick jetting toward him. With every stride and bounce Tyr increased his speed, flexing his muscles to the finest degree.

"Gofa..."

Looking like a near impact Tyr dove towards the water, but no instead Tyr dove deep into the ground leaving a large hole. The aqua slash zipped past Tyr in the nick of time, his ballsy attempt working out for him. For a moment there was a brief silence, the anxiety about such a large man disappearing in a quick instant was shocking yet terrifying.

Erupting from the ground underneath Nereus, a trembling from the earth and shooting out like a volcano came Tyr, his arms extended upwards fists clenched, laced with that strong haki and body. His attempt was to catch Nereus off guard from below aiming to land a devastating blow to his face.

"...Totsugeki!"

Nereus barely had time to react as Tyr vanished beneath the earth, leaving behind a gaping hole. His eyes narrowed in suspicion, but the sheer speed and unpredictability of Tyr's move kept him on edge. The ground beneath him trembled just before Tyr burst forth like a living cannon, fists glowing with the fiery aura of his Haki.

In an instant, Nereus shifted his stance, raising his arms to guard against the upward strike. However, the raw power and size of Tyr were overwhelming, and even with the Fishman's hardened defense, Tyr’s fist connected with his forearms, driving them back into his face. The impact was tremendous, like being struck by a charging bull. Nereus felt his bones rattle as the force sent him hurtling upward into the sky, his vision blurred by the sheer force.

Blood trickled from his nose and mouth, but Nereus twisted mid-air, regaining his focus. "Damn, he's strong," he thought, a smirk forming despite the pain.

Instead of trying to slow his descent, Nereus gathered water from the moisture in the air, concentrating it in his palms. As he soared higher, he created a swirling orb of water, growing in size and intensity with every second. "Fish-Man Karate: Five Thousand Tile True Strike!"

As gravity pulled him back down, Nereus aimed his strike directly at Tyr, unleashing the concentrated orb with the force of a tidal wave, hoping to catch the giant off guard while he was still recovering from his volcanic eruption attack. The blast roared through the air, its power and precision threatening to engulf Tyr in a deluge of crushing water pressure.

Tyr felt intense, powerful, filled with thrill and battle, his body shivered from excitement. He could feel his fist connect against Nereus bones, his haki had a thickness to it he hadn't felt before. Although despite his strange haki Tyr was getting closer to wounding his prey, Nereus's bones soon to break rather than bend.

Tyr launched the Fishman upward with his strike, the power from his last attack still propelled him in the air toward his aggressor, yet he noticed a smile. His eyebrow raised, something was up, but everything was happening so fast, Tyr made his mind up already he was going to attack regardless of the damage.

From the depths of the air the water accumulated into a large circular sphere of raging water. Like a canon, it shot toward the horned giant, Tyr's eyes filled with awe putting both his arms forward.

"I'm going to catch it," he said.

BOOOOOOOM!

Like a mountain, the attack hit Tyr bypassing his arms and kicking them out to the side causing his torso and face to take the brunt of the attack. He crashed through the air, the massive orb water smashing against his chest and face. Yet the moment he hit the earth a double-ringed ripple echoed in the earth of the Little Bird.

The once calm and peaceful island was ruined.

The attack's weight pressed down upon Tyr with the force of 100 tsunami his face buried within it. His body remained underpressure, even his natural state of being was thick and sturdy the power of Nereus and his potential was no doubt.

He couldn't breathe, he had to think of something. That's when his instincts kicked in he started to drink the water, gulp by gulp. Like one took a deep breath Tyr drank away the water relieving pressure from his body to repel the rest of the water striking an open palm.

Quickly hopping into a back handspring Tyr launched himself several meters. His belly was full of water, he looked fat, and he squatted down on all fours belly laying low to the ground, he looked similar to a gator. He opened his mouth, "Suiju!"

Aiming toward Nereus, Tyr clenched and flexed his gut and core muscles squeezing the water back out of his body. From his mouth spewed a pointed arrow concentrated water blast back towards him.

Nereus landed on the ground with a soft thud, his eyes narrowing as he watched the aftermath of his attack unfold. The massive orb of water he had unleashed pressed down on Tyr, engulfing him in a torrent of destructive force. For a moment, it seemed like the battle was won, but Nereus could sense the tenacity of the giant pirate. His eyebrows furrowed in confusion as he realized what Tyr was doing—drinking the water.

"He’s drinking it?" Nereus muttered to himself, watching as Tyr's body expanded, his stomach bloated with water.

Before Nereus could react, Tyr released the massive volume of water back at him in a compressed blast. The speed and force of the water blast rocketed towards the Fishman like a missile. But Nereus was ready, his experience with water manipulation giving him the edge.

"Fish-Man Karate..." he muttered under his breath, moving both his hands in a fluid, circular motion as the water approached. His palms glowed faintly with energy, drawing moisture from the air. "...Water Heart."

With perfect timing, Nereus caught the water blast mid-air, redirecting its flow with graceful movements. The blast curved around him in a spiral, swirling like a vortex as he manipulated the currents. The water was now under his control, coiling around his body in an ever-tightening spiral.

"Mizu no Tatsumaki!" he roared, his voice commanding as he released the spiraling water in a powerful, twisting dragon-shaped torrent. The water dragon roared through the air, lashing back toward Tyr with renewed intensity and speed, intent on overwhelming him. It was a dangerous game, using Tyr's own attack against him—but Nereus thrived in the water, and in this battle, he would prove why.

"HUH? A DRAGON!" Tyr shouted his eyes popping out of his head from shock. The water beast was large and it was fast Tyr was stuck in a sticky situation. Tyr had misjudged the fishmen, but one could not blame him. This was his first ever encounter with one, a learning experience nevertheless. Tyr was able to get up quick enough to a squat, ducking his head and folding his arms around his torso he braced for impact.

The water was sharp and moving rapidly, as many water-jetted cuts dug into his skin despite the haki he used to protect himself. It was a moment he pushed back its might, the warrior digging into his feet deep within the earth to hold back, but no.

A simple misplay was all it took for Tyr to lose balance being carried by the weight of the attack towards the shoreline. A devastating path was carved until the shoreline, a straight point shot. Nereus indeed was a powerful hunter.

The attack carried Tyr towards the shore and at this point, he had sucked in so much water that he passed out. the dragon twisted and flew high into the air above the sea before nose-diving into the watery depths.

Tyr now white-eyed, was falling into the depths of the sea.

As Tyr's massive body began to move towards the sea, Nereus ran until get got to the edge of the shore, watching the aftermath of his attack. The water dragon dissipated into the ocean, carrying the horned giant into the depths below. For a moment, the calm of the sea returned, the chaos of their battle seemingly washed away with the tides.

"Is that it...?" Nereus muttered under his breath, his body relaxing slightly. The sheer resilience of Tyr had kept the fight intense, but even a giant warrior wasn't immune to the force of water. However, he couldn’t let his guard down—not yet.

Nereus narrowed his eyes and dove into the water without hesitation, his body slicing through the ocean as if he were part of it. He knew that despite the damage Tyr had taken, giants had an extraordinary will to survive, and this one, in particular, was more tenacious than most.

The ocean was Nereus’s domain. Moving with graceful, swift strokes, he reached Tyr in moments. The giant pirate was sinking into the depths, unconscious and vulnerable. Nereus grabbed Tyr by his long black cape, pulling him toward the surface with ease despite his size.

Breaking through the water, Nereus dragged Tyr to the shore, throwing him onto the beach with a grunt of effort. "You may be a warrior, but you’re no fish," Nereus said with a smirk, water dripping from his blue skin.

Eyes snapping open Tyr lunged at Nereus's neck with his right hand, was he faking it? No he was still stuck in the heat of the moment, complete feral. If landed his waist would twist tossing the fishman back into the sea.

Splash!

Nereus hit the water hard, but this was his element. Despite the ferocity of the throw, he quickly regained control, flipping underwater with effortless grace. As he floated beneath the surface, his crimson eyes locked onto the towering silhouette of Tyr standing on the shore.

"You shouldn't have thrown me back here," Nereus muttered to himself, his lips curling into a determined grin. The water around him started to shift, churning violently as he extended his arms. His mastery of Fish-Man Karate allowed him to command the very sea itself, and now it was time to unleash something massive.

The ocean began to spiral around him, a vortex forming under his control. With a powerful motion, Nereus thrust his arms forward, the water obeying his command. A colossal wave, shaped like a roaring dragon yet again, surged toward Tyr. But this time, it was larger, more ferocious—an unrelenting force of nature.

"Ryūsei Kaifuku!" Nereus shouted, as the massive water dragon charged at Tyr, the sheer weight and speed of it enough to tear apart anything in its path.

The entire shoreline trembled as the water beast roared toward Tyr, threatening to engulf him completely.

Tyr smiled his eyes trembling with adrenaline his hands even shook from the blood rushing through him, he ripped off his shirt and cape. Running towards the ocean Tyr blackened both of his hands. Reaching the edge he stopped for a brief moment, he unhinged his jaw in a weird way inhaling a deep breath.

"Nessoku!" Shooting from his jaw was a steaming hot stinky breath, it was so hot that it combusted into flames. Together the two launched attacks towards one another, water and fire. They clashed, a massive impact, sending ripples in the sea and the shore.

The flame breath was hot enough to scold back the forearms of Tyr boiling the water to a point of steam. The vapor hit the air, and Tyr was gone from sight, but the water gave way to his plan.

He was swimming, towards Nereus like a jet, his horns looked different, having strange gill-like appearances. Even his hands and feet were somewhat webbed.

Nereus' eyes widened as Tyr's steam-imbued attack collided with his water dragon, creating an explosive clash of elemental forces. The sheer heat from Tyr’s fiery breath boiled the water around them, causing an immense cloud of steam to blanket the battlefield. The sharp hissing of evaporating water filled the air, and for a brief moment, visibility was lost.

But beneath the chaotic surface, Nereus could sense it—Tyr wasn't retreating. The water gave away the subtle vibrations of his movements. "He’s coming... underwater?" Nereus thought, noticing the peculiar adaptations Tyr’s body had undergone. Horns resembling gills, webbed hands, and feet—it was as though Tyr had altered himself, turning into something fit for aquatic combat.

"Impressive," Nereus muttered, a grin tugging at his lips. But in the sea, the Fishman was king.

Channeling his energy, Nereus dove deeper into the water, his body moving with unmatched precision. His Fish-Man Karate allowed him to manipulate the water around him even further. With a quick twist of his wrist, he summoned the surrounding water to his aid, creating whirlpools and rapid currents designed to trap Tyr and disrupt his momentum.

"Mizugokoro!" Nereus called out, the water wrapping itself like tendrils around Tyr's body, attempting to halt his progress.

Nereus wasn’t finished, though. Gathering the remaining water into a condensed sphere, he aimed for Tyr's chest. With a powerful thrust, he unleashed a high-pressure water bullet that moved faster than any prior attack, targeting the approaching giant with pinpoint precision.

Tyr looked like a brand new creature of his own, his new forms of body allowed him to cut and carve up the water like a fish. His movements were powerful, each thrash of his limbs propelled him further into the water. It was only a matter of time before Tyr learned how to swim the most effective way possible.

Nereus didn't let that happen, whirlpools by the flick of the wrist changed the sea currents. The changing of directions in a circular motion made it difficult for Tyr to push against. The thing of water was that it was always moving, raging and angry below the surface.

A gap was created allowing for Nereus to attack, like a bird in the air he soared through the water, a sphere of water created in his palm, Tyr however wouldn't remain helpless forever. He outstretched his palms, his long lanky arms nearly touching his back.

His arms moved together with little resistance from the strength he had put into this attack. The moment his two palms touched, a loud echo was first heard followed by an underwater air pocket in the shape of a ring. That's when the impact erupted in the waters, from his palms a new force of current spread across the waters, even the waters above were affected crashing large waves upon each other.

It completely erased all other currents and Nereus water orb attack, this concussive force was launched back toward the fishmen. Tyr being freed from his restraint wasting no time, with a massive stride, swam toward Nereus lurking from the bottom. His speed was amazing for his first time in a sea battle, he was learning quickly how to adapt to the waters, due to his animalistic instincts.

Like a shark attacking a human Tyr launched himself towards Nereus midsection looking to take a bite from the man.

Nereus, despite being a master of the sea, was momentarily caught off guard by the sudden shift in the water’s flow. Tyr’s concussive force had disrupted the once-controlled battlefield, causing the water to swirl chaotically. The impact had even erased his carefully crafted whirlpools, creating a gap in Nereus’ strategy.

Tyr, now surging with newfound prowess underwater, moved like a beast of the deep. His massive form, now streamlined, cut through the currents with precision, and his speed was far greater than Nereus had anticipated. He could sense the change in Tyr—this wasn't just a brute relying on raw strength. Tyr was learning, adapting, and now, his animalistic instincts had turned him into a terrifying predator.

As Tyr closed in, Nereus’ eyes narrowed, realizing what the giant was attempting. "He’s coming for a bite... like a shark,"Nereus thought, and though he was still faster in the water, the sheer size and power behind Tyr’s charge were daunting.

Nereus flipped his body backward, trying to maneuver away from the lunging bite. But Tyr’s jaws, powerful and relentless, snapped just below his midsection, narrowly missing their mark. The water pressure from the force of Tyr’s bite alone sent shockwaves through Nereus’ body, rattling his bones.

Realizing the danger, Nereus twisted his body with the current, letting it carry him as he extended his arm. “This won’t be enough to stop me." He called upon the full force of Fish-Man Karate, gathering the surrounding water into a powerful vortex at his fingertips.

"Umi no Tenchi!" Nereus roared as he unleashed a torrent of water in the form of spiraling pillars, aiming to disorient and crush Tyr within the crushing force of the sea. The spirals spun around the battlefield, threatening to tear Tyr apart, while Nereus, now fully focused, moved into position for another powerful strike.

Each pillar was alive like it lived independent from Nereus, Tyr was learning how to fend against these current's rather the resisting against them he had to allow them to carry him along. His eyes coated in red leaving a slight glowing glare behind his movements.

The currents threw him upwards, downwards, left, and then the right. This Tyr used his kenbunshoku to sense and determine the flows and currents, in his head he could predict the movements of the current by tracking all the movements in the rushing waters. His horns were shaking and glowing a translucent pink aura his eyes and body in a hypnotic state.

He carried himself slowly but surely wriggling himself toward Nereus, finding a perfect bend in the current, with a powerful kick he shot out the current towards the surface, like a dolphin, his horn gills took a deep breath of air, as he made it to the shore.

Nereus watched in disbelief as Tyr, against all odds, adapted to the chaotic and violent currents of the water pillars. "Impossible…!" Nereus muttered, his sharp teeth clenched. His eyes narrowed in suspicion as he noticed Tyr’s movements had shifted from erratic and forceful to fluid, almost harmonious with the water’s chaotic nature. It was as if Tyr had become one with the sea, moving with grace through the very elements that had once threatened to tear him apart.

The faint pink aura emanating from Tyr’s horns, combined with his glowing red eyes, sent a shiver down Nereus’ spine. This was no longer the clumsy brute he'd assumed Tyr to be. Tyr was evolving in the midst of their battle, using his instincts and haki to adapt faster than any opponent Nereus had faced before.

"This beast..." Nereus growled, his respect for Tyr growing, but so too did his determination to assert his dominance. As he watched Tyr break free from the water's grip and shoot toward the surface, his horns glowing and his body cutting through the sea like a predator, Nereus’ eyes widened. Tyr had reached the shore.

Nereus’ lip curled into a snarl. "I see now… you think you’ve won, reaching land won’t save you." With a flick of his wrist, the sea obeyed. The water around him churned as he brought the full force of Fish-Man Karate to bear.

"Kaikyō no Ikari!" Nereus bellowed, his arms outstretched as the ocean itself responded. A towering wall of water began to rise, a massive tidal wave infused with his Fish-Man Karate, racing toward the shore where Tyr stood. But Nereus wasn’t finished. With a thrust of both hands, he manipulated the water further, forming a colossal water dragon within the wave, its maw open wide and its eyes burning with fury.

The dragon surged forward with the wave, intending to crash down upon Tyr with an unstoppable force, swallowing both him and the shore in its wake.

Tyr smiled with glee as he panted like a dog, "Now that's power..." Coming towards the shores was something caused by Mother Nature itself, yet it was commanded by a man of the sea. Tyr's mind was to instinctually face the bearing attack head-on, sucking in taking a deep breath into his stomach he let out a beastly roar.

Sending out a powerful shockwave of pulsing sound towards the tidal wave, breaking the jaw of the watery dragon, but it was still far to large of an attack to be avoided. The tidal wave crashed upon Tyr like no other, the weight being dropped on him was like a mountain. He tried to fight off the extreme tension but he was caught underneath it's brunt.

The giant crashed against the muddy sandy beachside, having swallowed to much water, and the intense amount of pressure, Tyr laid on his back, tongue out and eyes whited once again.

Nereus watched as the tidal wave crashed down upon Tyr, the full force of his oceanic might washing over the beach like a living storm. He expected resistance from the giant—perhaps a last-second counter or an unexpected escape—but when the waters settled, and the massive figure of Tyr lay flat against the shoreline, tongue hanging out, and eyes white, Nereus let out a long, deep breath.

The Fish-Man floated just above the water's surface, his sharp gaze locked on Tyr's still form. The sheer tenacity of his opponent had been astonishing, and for a moment, Nereus wondered if the giant would rise once more, refusing to be defeated.

"That's enough," Nereus muttered, though there was a flicker of respect in his voice. Tyr had pushed him further than any land-dweller ever had. But the ocean, the domain of the Fish-Men, was ultimately undefeatable. He began to swim back towards the beach, cautious, yet knowing Tyr had finally been overwhelmed.

As he approached Tyr's still body, Nereus stopped, arms crossed. "You fought well, land-dweller," he said aloud, his voice low but carrying over the sound of the waves. "But the sea will always reign supreme. Know that in your defeat, you faced one of the greatest forces this world has ever known."

Tyr's horns again shivered which woke him up, "I suck at water battles! Oh man you were great out there! You sure are strong, Nereus right? Congrats man. Boy I'm pooped!"

Tyr fell with his back on the sand again, panting and catching his breath.

Nereus blinked in disbelief as Tyr stirred, his horns shaking to life once again. Tyr's sudden burst of energy, despite being buried beneath the ocean’s force, took Nereus off guard. His jaw tightened for a moment, but when he realized the giant was offering compliments rather than another attack, his stance relaxed.

"You're... something else," Nereus said, his voice gruff, though there was a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Most people would’ve stayed down after that. But you? You just keep coming back."

As Tyr flopped back onto the sand, breathing heavily and praising him in the same breath, Nereus couldn't help but chuckle. The fight had been exhausting, but there was something endearing about Tyr's relentless enthusiasm, even after a defeat.

"Yeah, it's Nereus," he confirmed, glancing at the horizon, where the sea was slowly calming. "You're tough too, Tyr. Water's not your thing, but you're a beast on land."

He let out a sigh, folding his arms across his chest as he stood above the giant. "Take it easy. Looks like we’ve both earned a break."

"You should teach me how to do that water karate." Tyr said, "That seem's useful for the most part."
