Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sea Monk is a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to turn into the full form and the hybrid form of the yokai known as the Sea Monk.
Etymology[]
- Yokai: Yokai's are Japanese gods or spirits in myth and folklore.
- Sea Monk: One of the Yokais in Japanese folklore, is a black humanoid spirit that appears for sailors and sinks their ships, also known as Umibozu.
Appearance[]
This fruit has a somewhat of a simple shape, it has a distorted spherical base that is split in material. The lower half consists of a shell like material that is deep and dark purple, while the upper part is of a smoother fruit material that is a lighter shade of purple with white swirls on it. The stem of this fruit is quite unique as it sprouts from the bottom of the fruit in the form of claws, while from the top of the fruit it looks like a normal stem, that is white in color on both ends. This makes it look like the stem is stabbed through the fruit, piercing it from one side to the other.

Alike all devil fruits of its type, a mythical zoan, this fruit grants the user multiple physiological attributes that are associated with the Sea Monk Yokai. This goes back to the nature of the Sea Monk as a creature, as it is a creature that is made out of darkness, appearing in the form of a silhouette. This grants the user a permanent physiological trait that consists of a body that is not bound by a certain shape. Allowing the user to transform their limbs or body to fit any image the user desires, which could be considered as part of the user's hybrid transformations. Another physiological trait that the user will gain is the same any user would gain by consuming a mythical zoan of the "Hito" model, which consists of mental and human physical boosts, that could lead the user to reaching enlightenment.
Due to the unique state of the Sea Monk in full form, which allows the user to access an intangible form, being made out of darkness. The user is also able to utilize that in hybrid forms, even though they lose the intangibility that comes with it, by allowing the user to shape his body however they see fit. Whether it be by turning into a giant, shrinking down, transforming their limbs into weapons, giving the user a stretchy and unstable physical body.
Aside from the physiological aspects of this fruit, the main and mythical power of this fruit is allowing the user to infuse particles of their darkness into inanimate objects, elements, and visually anything, to summon demons that could be as strong as the user or as weak as a fly, depending on the amount of darkness infused into their medium. These demons are entirely under the user's control, they answer without questions, and they would die for their maker. The demons made by this fruit are quite unique as they have the physical bodies of humans, but they inherit the powers of their medium. Where a demon that is made out of fire would be able to turn their physical body into flames, generate them, and control them. Demons created by this fruit can live up to thousands of years if not killed, as their bodies don't age, and they are able to feed on their medium in the case of them finding it in nature to replenish their strength.
As an awakening, the user gains an expansion of the main power, since the main power allows the user to infuse particles of their own darkness into mediums to create demons. The awakening of this fruit, known as "Darkness Infusion" does the exact opposite. Instead of allowing the user to infuse their darkness into mediums, it allows the user to fuse back with demons they created, gaining their mediums as powers for themselves. This allows the user to generate and control elements, but not turn into these elements, as they retain their human physical body. But what makes this power so unique is that it allows the user to gain control and then evolve themselves through mastering all types of different elements, and due to how the user is exposed to such extreme concentration of elements, they can adapt to such extreme conditions way quicker than normal humans.
