The Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Monocled Cobra is a Zoan-class Devil Fruit that grants its user the ability to transform into a Monocled Cobra, either fully or partially. It was "eaten" by Dampier Morgan's sword, Basilisk.

As a Zoan Fruit that allows the user to turn into a snake, the Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Monocled Cobra grants increased physical abilities and a vast degree of flexibility to whoever eats it. They gain a long, flexible body to ensnare and strangle, as well as sharp poisonous fangs to wound and neutralize foes. The poison of the Monocled Cobra is debilitating, causing drowsiness, necrosis in the bitten area, and flaccid paralysis, with the victim risking death if not treated within a few hours. In the case of its current user, Basilisk, it also bestowed sentience upon the normally inanimate sword and granted it notable intellect.
As some Monocled Cobras are known to do, the user also obtains the ability to spit venom to attack enemies. However, in the specific case of Basilisk, he is only able to do so when fully transformed, simply because his blade comes out of his mouth while in his hybrid form.
The venom of the Monocled Cobra can be dealt with by consuming an antidote, and its more serious effects rely on either great, continuous or repeated exposure to occur. Aside from this, normal Devil Fruit weaknesses to water and Seastone still apply.
Usage[]
Basilisk's nature as a snake-sword hybrid allows him and Morgan to fight in a rather unique fashion. In his full-beast form, Basilisk can act as both an independent threat on the battlefield or as another ranged option for his owner, spitting venom at his foes at medium range while Morgan uses his gun to strike those his pet cannot reach, and in his hybrid form, he can act as both a normal sword, a pseudo-Kusarigama, a makeshift grappling hook, and a whip. If need be, he can even lace his blade with poison.
