"Monster From the Deep" Gu Yang is a scientist from the West Blue who is trying to understand the secrets of the blues, and develop a better understanding of it's phenomenon. However, as he studied the depths of the Red Line, his experimental sub crashed into the sea floor and threatened to end Yang's career early. In a twist of fate his fruit ration for the expedition had been a Devil Fruit. Learning it's power he was able to survive the crushing depths and walk to the nearest island under the waves. Now forced to stay in his pressurized suit, the scientist was seem as a sea monster by locals and thus came a bounty and and a new goal to simply survive without dying from the lingering threats of the ocean, or the threats above the waves.

History

Past

An ambiguous figure that rose from the deepest depths of the blues like a monster. In truth, this suited figure is Gu Yang, a scientist from the land of Kano. A young oceanographer, this scientist went into the deepest depth of West Blue, near the Red Line.

With a prototype submarine, Yang made a risky expedition to the deepest depths. Disaster would strike, and the scientist would be left at the bottom of the West Blue with limited food and oxygen. What he didn't know, though, was that in his rations had been a devil fruit.

A fruit that gave Yang control of pressures. With a little time and a rudimentary diving suit, he used his knowledge to equalize the pressure in his suit to survive the odds. Forced to walk to the nearest island under the waves, Yang barely survived.

However, rapid depressurization would kill him on the spot. So, as of now, Yang was forced to stay in his suit. Yang's bad luck doesn't end there as the locals assume the strange-looking figure is a monster and force the scientist to flee and steal a ship, starting their bounty as not only a criminal but a supposed freak.
