Combating Storms[]
Yushin ran with all his might, the sirens and dogs that chased him through the Kano Country borders made his thrilling event of stealing a Kano Legacy more interesting. In his hands was a black pair of leather samurai armor, named...
The legend surrounding it said that the armor was worn by a great warrior long ago, said to be able to lift the heavens. Yushin was always into fairytales and fantasies, ever since his run-in with Michiko D. Hino, he'd been enjoying the time away from home. Piracy was starting to rub off of the ninja.
He was quick with his movements through the brush as he came upon a nearby cliffside, "See yah losers!" With a swift step into the air, Yushin stepped onto his nimbus and began to fly away from the island. He was too fast to catch and none of them could fly.
The ninja glanced at his armor in victory, "I gotta test this out with Ganon!" Yushin said flying fast towards a nearby island far off the shore of Kano. At the top of the mountain was Ganon sitting by a small camp they had set up. It turns out this small side mission took Yushin and Ganon a few days to complete. The duo knew that they would be found one way or another but for now Yushin wished to bask in his glory.
"Oii Ganon!" Yushin called out flying over the camp and leaping from his cloud. He landed softly not making a single sound. Such a ninja. He presented the armor to Ganon and went to dap him up.
"What's up, Yushin?" Ganon greeted as he gave the ninja a firm dap, the sound of their hands connecting echoing through their small campsite. The firelight flickered, casting dancing shadows on their faces.
Ganon turned his attention to the armor Yushin had brought, his eyes glinting with interest. "Hmmm, this armor looks pretty good," he said, inspecting the intricate details and craftsmanship. He ran his fingers over the metal, appreciating its weight and balance. "But it'll probably sell better if I didn't sweat it out," he added with a grin, imagining the potential buyers who would pay a premium for armor in pristine condition.
”Sell it? Fuck no, we have to test it. After all this is supposed be something of legend. I had to find this in the deepest depths of the mines.”
Yushin began to put the armor on, surprisingly enough it was extremely light. The moment he put it on the armor bulked up into a scale armor with a large black spiky shell on the back.
“What the fuck?” Yushin said.
"What in the hell is going on with this thing?" Ganon exclaimed, his eyes widening as he watched the armor shift and change before his very eyes. The metal seemed to flow like liquid, morphing into different shapes and configurations with an eerie, almost sentient precision.
Ganon shook his head, still staring at the strange equipment. "What did you just get yourself into, Yushin?" he asked, his tone filled with both wonder and concern.
”The legend has it that there was a legendary warrior from centuries ago. He was known as the strongest man in the world, and undefeated warlord said to lift the heavens.”
Yushin stated as he acted out the actions as if this recalling of a tale was a narration of his own life.
“The monks told me it was really the power of another fruit. Kame Kame no Mi, Model: World Turtle. It has the power to bestow enough strength to lift the skies itself, and even the earth.”
Yuhsin walked toward the edge of the cliff and began to float outward high above the sea waters below. There were several mountains and mini chained islands around. Yushin wished to test his theory.
He flew up toward another mountain directly across from the camp and flew to the very top. The tip of the mountain was flat enough for Yushin to place his first perfectly. He was going to punch the mountain and see how strong this fruit was.
Yushin cocked his right arm back coating it in haki. Utilizing advanced ryo the ninja struck the mountain.
The strike caused a loud shockwaves that was sent everywhere within a 10 Kilometre distance. The impact force could even be felt by Ganon as the winds howled like a violent storm.
With all his might The mountain like a rippled with destruction from the inside out blowing the mountain. Large chuncks of rock and debris crashed into the ocean.
“haha Holy Fuck!”
"And just when I thought we were on the same level," Ganon muttered in disbelief, watching as Yushin unleashed a devastating attack that obliterated an entire mountain.
The sheer force of the explosion left the landscape scarred, with debris raining down and a massive cloud of dust rising into the sky.
Ganon shook his head, facepalming himself in exasperation. "I should have just taken the armor," he said, his voice muffled by his hand.
He glanced at the now-quieting chaos, thinking about the seemingly simple relic that had turned out to be a source of unimaginable power.
"Yo Ganon you got to try this!" Yushin had conjured a Nimbus for Ganon to ride on and fly towards Yushin so he could give him the armor.
"Hell yeah, I'm trying this armor on," Ganon declared with enthusiasm, grabbing the mysterious armor with both hands. He could feel the energy emanating from it, a strange mix of anticipation and raw power.
As he began to put it on, the armor seemed to respond to his touch, adjusting and conforming to his body. Just like it had done with Yushin, the metal flowed and expanded, transforming into a formidable scale armor that gleamed ominously in the firelight. A large, black, spiky shell materialized on his back, adding an intimidating edge to his appearance.
Ganon flexed his arms, feeling the strength and protection the armor provided. "This feels incredible," he said, his voice filled with awe.
"Go on, throw a punch at that mountain over there," Yushin said sending the nimbus Ganon stood on toward the mountain side to hit it.
"Alright. Let's do this," Ganon said, determination etched across his face. He wound up his punch, feeling the raw power surging through the armor. With a mighty roar, he threw his fist forward.
The impact was instantaneous and cataclysmic. A thunderous boom echoed through the valley, and a massive shockwave rippled out from Ganon's fist, startling every bird in the vicinity into a frantic flight. The ground trembled as if struck by an earthquake, and the mountain before him shuddered under the assault.
Ganon poured all his strength into the punch, and the mountain responded with a series of deep, resonating cracks. Fissures snaked across its surface, and then, with a final, explosive force, the mountain shattered from the inside out. Huge chunks of rock and debris were hurled into the air, some crashing down into the ocean with enormous splashes.
He stood amidst the chaos, breathing heavily, his heart pounding with exhilaration. The sheer magnitude of his newfound power was overwhelming. Ganon didn't understand how the armor granted him such immense strength, but the sensation was intoxicating. It was as if he held the ability to bend the world to his will, to do whatever he wanted.
"HOLY CRAP GANON WE HIT THE LOTTERY!" Yushin shouted with stars in his eyes and his jaw dropped in awe. The duo would then head back toward the camp, and discuss further plans. They sat by a fire over some food to discuss.
"Alright, I got what I need now to take him." Yushin said eating some soup.
"Let me take him, Yushin. I need a little warm-up," Ganon said casually, not even looking up from his bowl of soup. He took another spoonful, savoring the rich, hearty flavors. "Besides, if we keep drawing attention like this, the BAA is gonna be all over us." The Blues Assassination Association had been sniffing around more frequently, and Ganon knew they couldn't afford a call from them.
"Aye I read you loud and clear, we will head out on first sight. Back to the New World and straight for the dragon. I'm going to see who really is the strongest Yuhuhuhu!"
"Sounds like a plan to me," Ganon said, finishing the last of his soup and setting the bowl down with a contented sigh. He stretched his arms overhead, feeling the tension release from his muscles.
"But," he continued, a mischievous grin spreading across his face, "it sounds like a plan for a refreshed me." He punctuated his words with a wide yawn, emphasizing his need for rest.
The island of Nyxis was once a splendid country in the New World. It was once home to a strong, self-sufficient civilization, capable of sustaining and protecting itself without the help of anyone else. This archipelago-like island is made up of five distinct geographical regions; a major and immense island encircled by four islands, similar in size but different in shape, in an arrangement ironically similar to the flag of the World Government and all four linked to the biggest by tiny strips of land.
Unfortunately, for a little over two decades, this island had become a pirate paradise and the main refuge of a terrifying crew from the seas of the New World, the Pantheon Pirates. The crew had radically changed even the island's very environment, having orchestrated the construction of a gigantic circular wall encompassing the entire island just a few kilometers from the coast, definitively blocking all access to the island, which was plunged into a tyrannical regime, a dictatorship.
This country, once blooming with life, was now extremely supervised by the pirates who resided there and the fact that this wall was constantly guarded by armed sailors, giving it a name well known on the seas of the Grand Line, the Impenetrable Fortress.
The central region of the island served as the capital. At its heart was a palace, a castle, a medieval-looking building of simply disproportionate size, in stark contrast to the more modest establishments of ordinary mortals. Within it resided a giant, a legend, a myth; a man whose name was enough to make pirates think twice before attacking a piece of land. He was none other than the Admiral of the Pantheon Pirates.
The man sat on his throne, his long braided hair falling over his shoulders. His eyes were resting on a newspaper, and a slight smirk was visible on his lips. "This damned world..." His imposing build dominated the room, and his red eyes shone brightly. "Things are getting crazier every day since the war ended..."
The diary featured several items, but his eyes were fixed on the head of the Navy's new admiral, Zhuque Ehuang, Haitori. Although he was smiling slightly, veins were visible on his forehead. "You must be pretty damn proud of that brat, right?... Kyojin?" he enunciated in a husky voice. "I shall take the matter into my own hands when the time comes...!"
Den of the Beast[]
Flying high through the clouds was Yushin and Ganon, a journey that took them a few days to reach but nevertheless, they made it accordingly. They rode and a large nimbus cloud that acted like a boat for the skies being launched by the wind and lightning spewing out the back. Yushin was standing on the cloud getting ready, praying with scented candles and incense burning.
In front of him was his blade and newly acquired armor. The clouds around them quickly darkened and from a bright white to a deep grey and black. Cracking of thunder started to play.
"I pray for the mind, the body, the soul, and my will to remain steadfast. Amen," Yushin said before taking up his belongings. "Ganon do you think I will win?"
"I mean, I don't hang with losers and weaklings," Ganon said, his voice steady and confident as he surveyed the landscape from his perch on the cloud. "So yeah, I think you'll win."
He glanced at Yushin, who was preparing for the upcoming battle below. The vast expanse of the sky stretched out around Ganon, offering a perfect vantage point to spot any approaching threats. The sun was setting, casting a golden hue over the clouds and the world beneath them.
Yushin's voice somewhat was filled with a what if, something he rarely thought. After his battle with Hino he barley was pushed besides for the trickery of her fruit.
The nimbus cloud would slowly approach on a large castle side below them many feet. He moved toward the edge of the cloud, "He's here," Yushin stated sensing the presence of strong fighters among the castle. "I guess we'd better knock then right?"
Yushin stepped onto the air itself clouds covering his feet. He pulled back his arm as if he were to draw a bow but nothing was in his hands. However the clouds around them started to swirl and emit off of Yushin, causing violent winds in the skies. From out the clouds formed large cloud hands and bow and arrow that mimicked Yushin's every move.
As the hands pulled back the bow, compressed clouds and air formed a large arrow, and the arrow glowed with blue and yellow lightning trapped inside.
Ninpo: Susanoo Goddo Arō no Jutsu...
A sonic boom blew the nimbus cloud away that Ganon stood on blowing apart the clouds and sending sparks of lightning blue, black and yellow in all directions.
BOOM!
The arrow was sent at unmatchable speeds toward the castle roof, no mere defense could evade this technique. The arrow was large and long, looking to pierce through the castle. Upon contact the arrow would leave a devastating explosion.
"Damn, dude, make sure you watch your strength with that arrow!" Ganon shouted, scrambling to maintain his balance as the cloud he stood on was torn in half by the sheer power of Yushin's lightning arrow. The crackling energy from the arrow had ripped through the fluffy cloud, sending shockwaves in all directions.
Ganon's eyes widened in shock as he regained his footing, the remnants of the cloud swirling around him like wisps of smoke.
--
A few moments prior
Thieron, the Admiral, was sitting in his castle, unfazed. He seemed to be staring at a random point, staring intently. But, he wasn't daydreaming, he sensed intruders on his territory, and they hadn't come to play. He turned to a person below the throne on the side. "Has Kaza been called yet?" He asked in a firm tone. "Yes, Admiral, he's already on his way." The pirate replied, bowing. "Very well then..." Thieron concluded.
--
At the sight of the simply monstrous attack advancing towards his castle, Thieron remained ironically calm. "Tsk... Damned brats..." He raised his right hand quickly and looked as if he was catching empty air, before swiping his hand to the right. As soon as this gesture was finished, the winds around the palace themselves seemed to panic, accelerating to hurricane-like speeds. Strangely, the castle itself was left untouched. The supersonic-speed electrical attack heading for the castle was simply deflected to the right, sent on its way until it certainly stopped on its own.
At the same time, a sonic boom echoed throughout the capital. With insane intensity, whole houses shook as they would in an earthquake. In the sky, a whitish streak appeared behind an invisible-looking dot. The "dot" was moving blindly fast, seeming to go on for miles with every passing moment. Then suddenly, just in front of the castle, a figure crashed to the ground, creating a huge crater at the point of impact. It could only have been an individual.
"Yo, Bros!!! You could have invited us if you wanted to have a party!" From the cloud of smoke emanated the imposing figure of the Iron Man, the one and only, Ultimate Interceptor Force of the Pantheon Pirates. Here he was, Kaza.
"Yo, Yushin, look at this pathetic attempt at a Tin Man," Ganon said with a smirk, pointing towards Kaza and laughing loudly into the air. The scene before them was almost comical—a man with an awkwardly disproportionate build and a truly unfortunate haircut that seemed to defy gravity. His presence was the type that made everyone around try to stifle their laughter.
"So he's hiding huh..." Yushin thought to himself looking down upon the unscathed castle. The arrow had been redirected toward the city in which the castle in, blowing up several blocks and possibly killing thousands. As Yushin floated high in the air, he noticed another approach, still his swords hadn't been drawn and his demeanor did not change.
He glanced over at his friend next to him, "Yuhuhuhu! He does kinda look like a tin can doesn't he..." Yushin shouted folding his arms together he addressed the tincan, "I know that wasn't you that blocked that attack, not many could. I heard about the storm dragon, tell him to come out. I'm not here to waste my time with some grape shouldered looking fool! YUHUHUHU!"
Kaza listened to the laughter and insults. But instead of getting angry, he took it ironically well. He turned around and flexed his muscles and cut. "Glad you like the style, guys!" He exclaimed. "But if you want to attack my captain, you'll have to go through me!"
Yushin just looked at Kaza with disgust, he was no better than Hino in his eyes or that Yakuza many years ago. Yushin had battled with many and lost to many, but Kaza was not a threat in his mind. "Fine, if he won't come out then I'll make him come outside." Yushin threw his right hand into the air. The landscape quickly began to be wrapped in a shadow casted by the cloud cover above them, it blocked out he sun and made it look like a gloomy day. Rain began to pour and thunder cracked again.
The clouds quickly covered the city within a minute, and soon to cover a large portion of the island itself.
"Susanoo's Drums of Thunder: Thunder Parade"
Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum! Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum! Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum! Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum!
The thunder cracked against the clouds as if a symphony of the worlds most gifted drummers played on this stage set for Nyxis. With each crack of thunder lightning began to stir up from the depths of the clouds and began to strike the entire radius of which the shadow covered. Houses, buildings, people, the entire city would be caught in this event.
Just like the hurricanes of wind that blocked his shot, Yushin too conjured wind just as fierce, just as strong, just as fast.
Kaza watched as the sky darkened like a storm. What power did these kids really have? He didn't know. But he had to act, or the damage would become far too substantial. Suddenly, reactors emerged from his spherical shoulders, on his palm, on his back and under his feet, and he seemed to disappear, taking off at a bewildering speed and leaving behind a cloud of dust that had risen from the ground. In the air, it took him only an instant to reach the cloud, where he hovered.
Then he pointed one arm upwards and the other at the pirates. "It's the fiesta, guys! Don't take it personal!" he exclaimed, before his hands began to glow. From each of his hands, dozens of warheads emanated, each group heading for its respective target. Should they reach their targets, cataclysmic explosions would occur, leaving no trace of them behind. A smirk formed on his lips. "After all, you look to me like a samurai from Kano or Wano, you don't know things like that back home, right?"
Yushin smirked, did Kaza think a few bombs couldn't be shot his way without thinking of the winds? Maybe the older man's senile brain has finally started to rot. Just as the storm that blocked the Susanoo Goddo Arō no Jutsu Yushin too moved the wind with a wave of his hands crashing upon the bombs with grace guiding their path back towards Kaza and the Castle.
"Ah! You think my own bombs could defeat me?" Kaza exclaimed, exploding with laughter. In the air, seeing his bombs being redirected, he strangely didn't move. "You don't know me if you think bombs like that could defeat me. They're just cheap versions of what this giant could do, at most!"
The bombs zoomed towards him at breakneck speeds, taking only a short time to reach him, and when they did, they detonated. An explosion worthy of the end of the world occurred, releasing a shockwave that reverberated through the city, removing any storm clouds hovering over his head in the process. From the cloud of smoke left behind, Kaza reemerged, hurtling towards the rookies at full speed. "Not sure the Admiral will be too happy about that, though."
And, indeed, he wasn't. Thieron was getting impatient and really annoyed. The damage done to his capital was beginning to take its toll, and it wouldn't be long before he left his castle to face the intruders himself. But for now, he decided to trust his commander - he wasn't the one called in to fight the intruders for nothing, after all. Once again, he created a hurricane around his castle, deflecting the missiles into the sky. But this time, he let the storm stand, so as to be defended when the next attack came.
The old man hurdled toward Yushin and Ganon at full speeds, the trails of white beneath his feet, but it wasn't a speed that Yushin couldn't muster on his own or calculate. His eyes glowed with a red ray that followed his eyes as they darted around, "Ninpo: Raiton Hebi Nagare no Jutsu" As Kaza came toward Yushin a burst of lightning shot fourth breaking into several heads of serpents. They coiled and spread apart, having a random course of action towards its target.
"Want to not see a magic trick, kid?" Kaza said provocatively. He stayed on course as the lightning snakes came toward him. Suddenly, the intensity of his reactors increased as he accelerated. "Gearshift, First Gear..." He enunciated as he became twice as fast and seemed to disappear from sight. The sound of his engines might have been the only way to detect him, if they weren't heard everywhere at once. A Machiavellian laugh could be heard throughout the region. "Want another???" He exclaimed with a laugh. As he did so, the sound of his jet engines became even louder and more deafening. "Gearshift, Second Gear!"
Yushin caused the snakes to weave themselves around his body and project outwards in multiple directions striking anything within a radius of himself. Yushin putting more into his attack as he held his hand sign, Yushin was impressed, seeing someone also be a speedster was always nice, but Yushin was always, well Yushin. He still hadn't moved from his spot where he stood this entire time.
The lightning storm continued to rage on, striking his territory slowly engulfing the city is a crimson flame, "Yuhuhuhu! I wonder the amount of bodies I will catch today." The warrior shouted, "Come on out dragon boy! Face me like a man, I wish to not play with this second-class vehicle."
Yushin remained steadfast in the storm the drums of thunder still beating their tune, was the only thing he focused on. It was soothing to him, it dialed him in.
Yushin thought Kaza was having fun with him, but he wasn’t. Kaza was primarily a strategist. Still in the air, he fired missiles in all directions, some at a greater distance from him than others, before shooting at the native of Wano but remaining at a comfortable distance. But the plan only came into play when the missiles overtook it. Kaza was still flying very fast, so fast that he probably appeared invisible to any average human, and was flying in a circle around his target.
Then he dived towards the back of the Yushin at an inconceivable speed. Thus, Kaza would then come from the rear, but the missiles they will come from the front and the coasts, giving no escape to the pirate. But, Kaza had fired missiles farther than others, as mentioned above, and the first wave was only decoys that would explode as it would be near Yushin, temporarily blocking his view, and thus giving time to either Kaza, or real missiles to hit their target. That was his plan.
In moments like these a warrior is tested, with his back against the wall what could he do? But simply preform.
Yushin's body started to produce lightning shrouded and interwoven within his body, this technique was known as Raijin Body Technique. When doing this Yushin is able to stimulate his body allowing for faster movement. Meaning, Yushin's base speed had already surpassed double its original state. It was like the most amazing body high ever, a wave of adrenaline rushed through him...
Everything for Yushin seemed to have been placed into a frozen space in time and Yushin was the only one around able to move freely. Yushin already in motion to react suddenly began to flood out an immense amount of lightning from his body in the image of a raging current of water. The lightning poured out from around him spewing out in all directions.
Yushin moved through the still space, being lost in the white noise of ambiance that plagued his ears, his hands covered in the will to touch the most dangerous of attacks, broke forward intercepting the first onslaught of missiles, his hands broke them with ease utilizing his Emission Haki to mimic a shield around his hands to break the missiles from a distance. The first batch exploded upon constant a wave of lightning rushing past the others striking the attacks.
Yushin's speed was unmatched as he stepped in the air as if it were solid ground, his ninja acrobatics allowed him to bounce off of thin air destroying each missal and evading the explosion just in time. He then reached Kaza from Kaza's perspective seemed to be bust a few feet before him, until suddenly Yushin reappeared underneath Kaza,
He attempted a devastating uppercut to the gut only a few centimeters from impact, Yushin flowing his haki directly into his right fist looking to damage the old mans insides. Not only was this punch applied with Yushin's speed and power, but the World Lifter armor clasped itself around Yushin in the last moment boosting his strength immensely. The same amount of strength capable of destroying mountains.
If landed Kaza bones would scum to the weight of the attack sending him flying high into the air.
"Gah! The hell?!" Kaza said as he was sent hurtling through the air. Blood was pouring from the side of his lips. He couldn't see it, but he knew he had been damaged. "Damn, that hurts, brat!" How could this kid be so fast? How could he be so strong? Kaza didn't know. But now he had a reason to accelerate, to change speed once again.
"Gearshift, Third Gear..." He enunciated. Before he was too far from Yushin, the reactors on the cyborg's back were pointing upwards, propelling him downwards towards his target, Yushin. A sonic boom emanated from the point where he had accelerated, but Kaza would have reached his target long before this boom even reached Yushin's ears. With his arm mounted, he covered it with Armament Haki, before swinging it with superhuman force towards the samurai, in a time equivalent to the blink of an eye, a single instant.
As Yushin drove him into the air, he waisted no time in reacting again, eyes attentive and focused Yushin knew another attack was coming, but before it was too late Kaza had launched his attack hitting Yushin's jaw and crashing into the roof of the building. There were two booming effects from his speed and hitting the ninja.
Yushin crashed into the roof of a nearby castle tower a small crater in the roof side. He lay there with his eyes white and bruised, blood leaking out his lips. His jaw seemed unhinged and twisted from Kaza's strength and speed piled together. The thunder cackled and the drums played once again.
Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum! Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum Dum didi dum dum!
Without a moment to think, Ganon launched himself towards Kaza, his body moving with a burst of explosive energy. Channeling his strength into his legs, he aimed a powerful Busoshoku Haki-imbued kick at the old man's exposed side. The air crackled with energy as his leg shot forward, glowing with the dark, hardened aura of Haki.
Although Ganon's speed wasn't on par with Yushin's lightning-fast agility, his technique and timing were impeccable. He had a keen sense for exploiting openings in his opponent's defenses, a skill honed through countless battles and rigorous training.
"In your face, brat!" The cyborg shouted as he sent Yushin flying. But his assistant, Ganon, took advantage of this opening to attack him while his side was exposed. But thanks to Yushin, Kaza was surprisingly close to the ground. So what Kaza did was let himself be hit.
But, at the same time, he fired pressure mines at the ground, before firing more at those already on the ground, thus adding pressure to each one and detonating them. In this way, although he would be hit by the disastrous attack, his opponent would find himself caught up in a cataclysmic explosion, which he would take in full and alone, as Kaza would be sent tumbling further away.
Upon the rooftop the rumble began to shift and move, as the body of Yushin started to crumble and turn into a white cloud body and disappeared into the raging wind.
Before Ganon knew it he was flying through the air with Yushin in perfect condition grabbing ahold to the collar of his shirt, "Close call huh? This guy is fun ain't he?" Yushin asked, before creating another nimbus cloud for Ganon to ride. The cloud would cling to his feet which allowed Ganon to fly alongside Yushin.
”Yeah real close” Ganon said as he settled onto the Nimbu cloud Yushin created for him. “But this Kaza dude is an old hag” Ganon said as he laughed.
Kaza went flying and crashed into a nearby building. The blow was weaker than Yushin's, but it still hurt. "Man... Ya guys are troublesome..." he said before rising from the rubble. His reactors reignited "But on da otha hand..." He continued.
BOOM! Another sonic boom echoed through the city, with the same intensity as last time. "I'm not an old hag, fucker!" he shouted fiercely. Immediately, he fired two missiles but seemed to miss, by a wide margin at that. But what his two opponents wouldn't have known was that these missiles were homing missiles. It was only a matter of time before they would start homing in on their targets.
Yushin didn't care for the old man's words. Instead, he started to infuse himself again with the Raijin Body Technique. "This guy is fast, but I can still track him with my Kenbunshoku. Well, I guess that's what Dad always told me anyway. Pushing your limits only makes for new ceilings."
Yushin knew the old man was coming by his intentions, but his speed was still faster than Yushin in the moment. He shot the attacks which flew right past, as the whisked by in the air, Yushin's eyes started to glow.
He kicked off the air launching him backward toward the missiles, "They are looping back around," he said to himself, as he began to weave a hand sign.
"Ninpo: Fujutsu Harai Fuzan"
Suddenly flying from Yushin were compressed air slashes that flew directly toward the attacks coming back to destroy them. Each slash would dice the missiles exploding upon destruction clouding Yushin in a band of smoke before air slashing his way out of the smoke and launching back over top towards Ganon and Kaza.
"Hell yeah," Ganon exclaimed, seizing the opportunity created by Yushin's attack. He propelled himself towards Kaza with all his might, his body a blur of motion. Even though Kaza was significantly faster than both him and Yushin, the sheer force and timing of Ganon's launch would make it highly difficult if not nearly impossible for Kaza to evade the oncoming blow.
"Ha! You saw right through that, huh? Fantastic!" He exclaimed as he watched Yushin destroy his missiles. But he didn't have more time than that, as Gonna came back at him with another attack from the front. But then, as he himself often proclaimed in his battles, there were none like Kaza in the air. Indeed, in the air, even birds couldn't compete in agility and mastery of speed and trajectory; and coming face to face with Kaza in the air was like trying to beat a cheetah at a race. It was doomed to failure.
Nimble as a fighter jet, at the sight of Gonan coming towards him, Kaza nosed skyward and momentarily stopped his engines, entering a parabolic trajectory and passing just above his assailant. This was the Cobra maneuver. Once he had reached his peak, when he was upright, he rotated on himself so that he was facing in the same direction as Ganon. Thanks to this, the situation had changed from a face-to-face clash to an aerial chase. "Hello fucker..."
True to his principles, once he would be behind his opponent, he would fire homing missiles directly at Ganon. Unless outside intervention came into play again, Ganon's fate was now sealed.
Kaza wasn’t the only bird of the sky, his speed yes surpassed Yushin but for how long. The storm god dove deep kicking off the sky his infused lightning body moving his limbs at maximum speed, “More…” he uttered.
Each step was like a crack of thunder, the armor boosting his strength with each stride while his body was put under pressure. These moments is where Yushin stood out among the rest.
It was in the span of second Kaza launched his rockets toward Ganon, Yushin had already been in motion dispatching the rockets before they even had a chance to reach a foot away.
His cuts were pristine and precise, multiple fluid movements, a blackened blade and flames covered arm sword arm, Yushin went to strike the All-Star.
”One Sword Style…”
It would be from behind Kaza he noticed Yushin, until Yushin had already taken another place ahead of him.
“…Perigean Dive”
Yushin flew past Kaza and Ganon, sheathing his blade back into its scabbard. A diagonal slash imbued with the strength cleaving rock, and metal was delivered aimed for Kaza.
Yushin's attack was precise and did not miss its target. But where Yushin would probably have expected to see his opponent defeated, just after his blow, a fireball appeared in the sky. Indeed, by making the lightning sound as he walked, Yushin had at the same time given Kaza the opportunity to sense the danger hovering over him. Although he hadn't had enough time to avoid it, Kaza had had enough time to react.
So, sensing the storm god coming towards him, the Iron Man generated mines on his back. As a result, Yushin's attack never actually reached him, but actually hit his mines, which were instantly triggered by the pressure of the blow. The power of this explosion would have been significant, pushing the Iron Man down, which continued his course, just lower, as he had never switched off its engines, and potentially reaching Ganon had he not been moved by his comrade. "See, in a fight, speed is often not enough! The decisive part is in da head!"
Using the clouds at his feet, gifted to him by Yushin's elemental prowess, Ganon swiftly pursued Kaza, who was descending rapidly after his own explosions. The clouds swirled and coalesced beneath him, forming a stable platform that allowed Ganon to move with unparalleled agility through the sky.
In one fluid motion, Ganon launched himself from the cloud platform, his body a blur of motion as he closed the distance between him and Kaza. He channeled his Busoshoku Haki into his knee, hardening it with the dark, metallic sheen of the powerful energy.
As he neared Kaza, Ganon's trajectory brought him directly above the cyborg. With the precision of a seasoned warrior, Ganon aimed a devastating knee strike at Kaza's back.
As Kaza prepared to fly away, Ganon prepared to knee him on the back. Strangely, seeing this, Kaza slowed down. He was in the habit of letting himself be hit in combat, so as to be able to make contact with his opponents, to get closer to them. After all, he had nothing to fear from physical blows, as his exoskeleton would do just fine against them. So, here again, he let himself be hit. A deafening noise sounded as Ganon's knees crashed into him. He gritted his teeth. But quickly, the cyborg would seize his assailant's wrist. "Gotchu fucker!"
"Gearshift, Fourth Gear!" Kaza exclaimed before his reactors re-ignited with an even more deafening noise. Being on his back, Ganon would have been directly behind the reactor fires, and so would find himself burning alive. Kaza was now twice as fast as he had been just before, and sixteen times faster than he had been at the start of the fight. He would have seemed to teleport as he took off into the sky, with Ganon in his grasp, taking him on a wild ride aimed straight for the clouds and beyond.
It would only take a moment before he was beyond the clouds, but he kept going, climbing and climbing for several kilometers, tens of kilometers above the cruising altitude of modern airliners. And then, once at his peak, well beyond the clouds, he would begin to dive, putting Ganon in front of him like a heat shield.
"Gearshift, Fifth Gear!" Now he'd be four times faster than when he caught Ganon. "Gearshift, Sixth Gear!" Miles passed with each wink, he was now eight times faster. He smiled as he would enunciate words he rarely enunciated, "Gearshift, Top Gear!" He was now at top speed, the maximum speed his engines could deliver. In an instant, he would have reached the ground and crashed with an end-of-the-world roar as the ground itself cracked, sagged and evaporated. Such an attack could leave no survivors behind.
After Yushin's first slash was delivered he kicked his legs onto the air below him, like a trampoline launching himself back into the air and letting off a sonic boom. Even a part of the castle, many feet under him had been affected by his newfound strength, shattering the roof as he soared back up toward Kaza. Maybe the old man's mind was too focused on the lurking beast beneath him.
As Kaza reached for Ganon's hand Yushin drew his blade from his scabbard, his hands filled with will, as he flowed his Haki throughout his body and into his blade. He aimed for his exposed torso with a beautiful double arching slash, with Yushin's blade looking like a blur as it cut through the wind. His katana was riddled with lightning and compacted visible constructs of wind along its edge, Yushin pouring his haki flowing it into his projected target. His strength doubled, not tripled from the amount of force he delivered.
"Ittoryu..."
"Yushin-sama, you must be precise with your cuts. You let your strength take control of your blade," Kemono said sitting with a tea cup within his hands.
A 27 year olf Yushin had been standing outside with a bokken striking a straw doll. "I'm trying to do what you said but I can't flow it right. Pant Pant. We've been at this four hours now Sensai."
Kemono smiled and sipped his tea, "Yushin, you will never become strong. Your attitude will lead to your downfall. You may be a god, but there are those in the world that are capable of such things. Strike the doll again."
Kemono was right, Yushin did have a quitting mindset. Ever since he was placed under the instruction of Kemono his training has become more difficult. But through the fire is where the strong are forged. "Yes Master!"
Yushin looked at the straw doll and focused his mind. Flowing his haki into the bokken blade Yushin swung his blade toward the straw doll.
BOOM!
Kemono smiled.
Back to the present...
"...Ryu Akatsuki Ocho." A horizontal attack aimed to cleave deep into bone, metal, sure will flowing through the slash's sweeping arch. There was nothing Kaza could do that Yushin would allow.
"Not ya again!" Kaza spoke in frustration. This guy wasn't letting him breathe, and that bothered him. He needed a lesson. As Yushin's attack zoomed towards him, Kaza had no choice but to take it, ensuring in exchange the possibility of catching Ganon, whom he had not yet caught. The attack slammed into him, piercing through his skin but attenuated by his exoskeleton, before slamming into his endoskeleton, already quite weakened, leaving behind a deep scar. Kaza had been seriously damaged, he knew, coughing up blood. "Uh?? That kid hit my endoskeleton again, how???? Is that... Advanced Haki?!" He wondered. But if Yushin thought this would have been enough to bring down the Iron Man, he would have been very wrong.
"Gearshift, Fifth Gear..." He murmured. His engines revved up, but Kaza remained down. "Gearshift, SIXTH GEAR!" He shouted, this time. Now four times as fast, Kaza disappeared.
"Where did that old bastard go?" Ganon muttered, his eyes darting around as Kaza activated his sixth gear and vanished from sight. The sudden disappearance left a palpable tension in the air, a stark contrast to the fierce clash that had just taken place.
Ganon landed back on his cloud shoes, the ethereal platform stabilizing under his weight. He scanned the surroundings, his senses heightened, trying to detect any sign of Kaza's presence. The old cyborg had proven to be a wily and formidable opponent, and Ganon knew better than to underestimate him now.
Yushin had not yet put his blade away, still keeping it in his hand. Kaza had slipped away through the cracks, jetting away faster than the naked eye could see. "He keeps getting faster and faster...Getting a closer look at his body, he is for sure some kind of machinery. It's kinda awesome, but he has this tactic I like... I wonder..."
The ninja turned his head toward Ganon in response to his question "Who knows, but something tells me he's not done. I have a plan Ganon..."
Suddenly a large cloud formed around Yushin covering the entire area including Ganon. Yushin before the clouds moved from them and spiraled around them into a vortex.
Kaza whirled around the cloud at high altitude and dizzying speed. "A cloud, eh? Who do they think I am?" He said. For the first time in the fight, he used Observation Haki, being able to see precisely where his target, Ganon, was. He wouldn't need a loophole, because he'd be coming from above. He chuckled before uttering words he rarely said, "Gearshift, Top Gear..." Being so far away, neither samurai could have heard him. Kaza was now one hundred and twenty-eight times faster than when the fight began. No matter how fast the two attackers thought he was, he was faster.
Kaza had to be careful, Yushin was with Ganon. A shot like the one earlier, well placed, could simply defeat him. But hey, the iron man wasn’t used to being careful, was he? Kaza plunged into the cloud at full speed, going so fast that the rest of the world seemed to be slowing down. He fired missiles ahead of him, towards the cloud. When they exploded, part of the cloud would have been momentarily open, but if Yushin expected Kaza to come back this way, then he would have been fooled. Silent and discreet as a predator, he eyed his prey from a close observation post, and he would have no way of knowing where the cyborg would come from.
Then he plunged into the cloud. But he did not go directly to Ganon. It passed so fast that we would not have seen it pass, probably just felt. He went back and forth in series, trying to play with the minds of his opponents. Then he went for real. Upon entering the cloud, he fired decoy flares, hoping to distract his two opponents, before exiting it. These lures were so sophisticated that even ships managed to hit the wrong target. But he lost no time and re-entered the opposite side, at an unimaginable speed. Both hands were in the air, soaked in Armament Haki, and clenched in fists, each aimed at the head of one of the two samurais. Would they hit their target, the damage would be devastating. At that speed, the kinetic energy that would be released by the attack would be enough to demolish a mountain. It was inevitable.
This was a fatality.
The cyborg's Haki-coated fist smashed into "Ganon's" head, sending his body reeling from the impact. Pain exploded through "Ganon's" skull, his vision momentarily blurred by the sheer force of the blow.
"Ganon" stumbled backward, the force of the hit nearly knocking him off his cloud shoes. He could feel the raw power of Kaza's attack resonating through his entire body, each nerve ending screaming in agony as he was launched back.
Yushin simply remained calm, not wavering from his position. Kaza was faster than ever before, he was not saw but felt. The currents of the winds constantly changing, Yushin could feel them. The wind on his skin, the clouds shifting in the air, but did that matter?
No.
Kaza had thought to be the owl in the night, swooping from a branch to snatch a mouse. His old age surely had gotten to his senses. Maybe the Pantheon Pirates were stagnated for so long that he hadn't thought of different strategies. Kaza would reach the peak apex of his speed, "Top Gear" and launched himself toward Yushin and Ganon.
The ninja remained bold and steadfast in the face of adversity. It would be as Kaza passed by Yushin whispered, "You've done well..." in the wind.
Kaza's attack struck both of the invaders sending them crashing right through the castle roof, and landing in the chamber room of the dragon. There was a large hole from the roof where they had crashed and their bodies were beaten.
Ganon and Yushin lay unconscious.
--
The two samurai were defeated. Kaza stopped and took up a stationary position, looking from where he was at the hole the two assailants had created as they crashed into the castle, victorious. "Gearshift, Deactivate." He said, breathing hard and bleeding. The scar on his body was deep and bleeding profusely. But, he still had to make sure of what turned out to be his victory. He started moving at his normal, basic speed, heading straight for that hole. He wasn't smiling.
He hovered near the hole, looking down on his opponents, who lay unconscious, breathing heavily. The faint glow from outside shone on him from behind, making it impossible to see his expression. Then suddenly, he pointed at the defeated warriors and laughed. "In yar face, brats!"
At the same time, the captain, Thieron, unsure what happened, was still watching, keeping that stern expression of his.entered the room. A smirk was drawn on his face as he glanced at those who had dared to infiltrate his territory. "I guess the job's over, Kaza?" The admiral questioned. Kaza regained his composure and replied with a smirk, "I guess so! GYEHAHAHA!"
"Good. Take them to the dungeons. I want them alive. Although they were problematic, their profiles interest me." Thieron replied, walking away. "And yes, bring me some repairmen too, I want this roof fixed by tonight."
Veins appeared on Kaza's face as he glanced to the side, looking annoyed. "It's not my fault..."
It was all too perfect, it was all too easy, it was just an...illusion.
5 minutes before....
"...I have a plan Ganon, but it requires us to play a tricky game. I think we can do it, but I'mma need you to lock in."
"I like where this is going all ready," Ganon said as he rubbed his hands together.
Yushin began to conjure clouds all around himself, breaking them off into multiple pieces. "We are going to set up a decoy for this geezer..." The clouds filled the area while two clones began to form.
One of Ganon and one of Yushin, "...We will swap my cloud clones for our real bodies." Yushin began to take of the World Lifter and hand it to Ganon, "Here take this, quick we don't have much time."
"Bet, let's do this," Ganon said, his voice filled with excitement. He grabbed the armor and began to put it on, each piece fitting snugly against his body as if it were made for him. The armor shimmered with a dark, metallic sheen, and as Ganon secured the last piece, he could feel a surge of power coursing through him.
Yushin, then formed two special nimbus clouds that covered them like sheep wool, "These will allow our real bodies to blend in with the clouds. We will wait and bait them out, and that's when we will strike."
And so the sneaky duo did just that, Yushin had concocted a plan for success and it worked. Kaza couldn't tell the difference between Yushin's Cloud clones. It was the perfect bate.
They watched as Kaza began to make his descent towards the castle and that's when they struck. Bursting from out of a nearby cloudweres Ganon and Yushin, "Alright Ganon! Let's do this!"
"Hey old man, eat this, you tin can!" Ganon roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield.
His eyes blazed with the fires of a yokai as he launched a punch, the armor enhancing his already formidable strength. Even without the armor, Ganon's punches had the power to change the winds themselves, creating shockwaves that could topple trees and send boulders flying. But with this armor, he was truly a demon. The scales of the armor shimmered with a dark, metallic sheen, amplifying his power to unimaginable levels. His muscles coiled like springs, ready to unleash devastating force.
As his fist shot forward, the air around it seemed to warp and twist. The sheer speed of the punch created a sonic boom, a deafening roar that echoed through the sky. The ground beneath Ganon's feet cracked and splintered from the raw energy radiating from his body. His blow was capable of destroying mountains, and the speed of his punch was almost too fast to see. Even if Ganon's fist didn't make direct contact, the sheer force of the punch was enough to cause massive damage.
The air itself seemed to explode as the punch traveled forward, creating a shockwave that blasted towards Kaza with incredible speed. The ground trembled, and a powerful gust of wind tore through the battlefield, carrying with it the destructive energy of Ganon's attack.
Yushin, "Welcome to retirement pal!" Yushin chanted, his eyes sparking with a gleaming red glow and the widest grin. The drums of thunder played behind them as they were silhouetted looking like demons of the storm.
Yushin flexed his sword arm and pumped his haki through his body and veins, the flaming pattern emerging once again as his blade fainted to a dark black and purple. Performing an arching overhead slash Yushin thrust his sword downward into the back of Kaza, with the strength of 1000 winds.
The ninja poured more of his will into his blade trusting Konran to cut its way through the exo skeleton, pouring his haki deep into his intended target. The slash would cleave more than just Kaza but the castle roof and its entire length cutting deep into the territory of the dragon. Yushin and Ganon delivered simultaneous attacks at once toward Kaza's back both packed with enough power and damage to put him down once and for all. It was like an explosion of power that came from Ganon and Yushin.
"..." The monstrous attack was headed for Kaza, who had no idea what was going on. If it hit him, he'd probably be cleaved in two. The power of this attack was unheard-of. Thieron had seen it. Unsure of the outcome, he had continued to watch the fight after the crushing sound had echoed through his castle.
"Dirty trickers..." With a quick wave of his hand, he ordered the wind itself to start moving. Thus, the wind around the castle shifted, sending the Iron Man tumbling away, unable to fight against the wind as his engines were almost out, if he'd had time to fight at all. Directly afterwards, the attack crashed into the royal castle, the tyrant's mansion, with unimaginable force, shaking it to the core and depriving it of its roof, before continuing on its way and crashing into the capital behind. The damage was unprecedented. Veins appeared on the captain's forehead, enraged.
"Damn brats!" He screamed.
Further, Kaza had crashed, not even knowing what had happened to him. "Argh man... Damnit!" He exclaimed, confused as he rose from the rubble of what was once a building. Setting his eyes on the capital, he would be greeted by a catastrophic sight. The kingdom's once-prestigious castle was almost cut in two, a portion of the capital razed to the ground. What the hell had happened here? In such a short space of time. "What the-"
"Oh, we decimated that old man," Ganon said, surveying the aftermath of their battle. The combined power of his and Yushin's attacks had utterly destroyed the surrounding area.
The once-imposing castle of Thieron laid in ruins, nearly cut in two with its grand roof torn asunder. Ancient and strong walls, once the symbol of strength and security, now crumbled and scattered like dust in the wind. A significant portion of the capital lay razed to the ground, as if a giant dragon had descended upon it, leaving a trail of devastation in its wake.
Ganon couldn't help but feel a mix of awe and grim satisfaction. The sheer magnitude of their destruction was a testament to their combined strength. "Look at this place," he continued, his voice tinged with disbelief. "We turned it into a wasteland."
Yushin only gripped his blade tighter, his jaw tensed and his brows narrowed. Something was coming. The thunder cracked, crashed and busted against the drums of cloud.
"Grrrrrr..." Yushin said as his eyes began to change back and forth from a yellow and red-ringed eyes. The wind intensified within the castle they stood in, Yushin's current of winds were strong enough to start tearing apart the remainder of the the castles roof. The bricks and stone cried out as the were plucked from its ancient place.
The currents around all of them were hard to stand against, "Kaza..." Yushin uttered out as another violent burst of lightning flooded the area, only Yushin and Ganon in the clear. The lightning struck the walls, the ground, the castle, and anyone who was caught within the range. It didn't matter if they were in the air, or on foot, the speed of which this lightning shot wasn't calculable.
Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum! Dum didi dum dum, Dum didi dum dum Dum didi dum dum!
The haki from his arms began to swell forming a distinct pattern of flame and jagged-edged patterns of lightning. His already obsidian blade almost looked darker, than its already pitch black state. Cackles of lightning ran across the edge of Yushin's blade,
Kaza had far overstayed his welcome, and Yushin decided that Kaza would be left not standing. "Ganon. Protect yourself at all costs and fight hard. I will not be holding back anymore,.." He turned his head toward Kaza and Therion, "The real battle begins now!"
"Grrrr..." Kaza's body was filled with rage. These little ones, these kids even, had managed to leave a stain on his prestige as a commander. "And i can't even go in Top Gear anymore... Man..." Now at base speed, Kaza would still have had to go through every step before Top Gear, which would have taken too much time, and either put him in danger or just intensified the damage to the territory. Fortunately for him, he still had an option. He had only one obvious choice to make. "Well, fuck it!" Lumin Gearshift!"
As soon as these words were out of his mouth, the hole in the Iron Man's chest began to glow a bright yellow, changing from the usual blue. An aura formed around him, a sign of his newly acquired power. His pupils began to glow yellow too, as if he'd worn contact lenses. His jet engines went into overdrive, generating enough thrust to pull Kaza into a hover. He smiled ecstatically, as if he were high. "Ah yes... How long had it been since the last time...?"
Lumin Gearshift was an ability conceived and subsequently developed and invented by Kaza. This fascinating device enabled him to use light itself, in the form of a laser, as a means of propulsion; firing so much from his engines that it propelled him forward. Thanks to this, he was able to reach inconceivable speeds, on a par with the fastest people in the world.
To add to this, if it wasn't already enough, although he himself was unsure whether he was doing it consciously or not, his Observation Haki seemed to grow stronger when he used this ability; he himself proclaimed that he "saw everything, heard everything and felt everything while seeing nothing, hearing nothing and feeling nothing at the same time". "Ah..."
Also, every time he used this move, Kaza seemed to become ecstatic, as if immersed in limitless satisfaction, as if everything was going well for him.
So put simply, this skill could be described as Kaza's Trump card, as the ultimate late throw at scissor paper stone. For anyone unlucky enough to be Kaza's target once they entered this mode, it often meant only one thing: defeat.
However, while fantastic as a last chance, Lumin Gearshift proves more dangerous to its user than its opponents. Indeed, what made this power so powerful was that it was also self-destructive. The speed attainable in this mode was immense, but the friction at such high speed very quickly raised Kaza's temperature to hundreds or even thousands of degrees, causing him to overheat and even begin to melt in extreme cases. All in all, Kaza could only go at such speed for around thirty seconds maximum in a single go, before needing to cool down completely for several days or weeks. This could, however, be countered by using this facility for a short period, then stopping for a few minutes, before starting again.
And more often than not, those few seconds were enough.
--
Kaza continued to float, having been in the air like this for some time already, but since he was hovering, there was no danger to him. His eyes were wide open as he gazed up at the sky ahead. "..." His breathing was calm, suave. Right now, he was the star that lit up the sky; the world belonged to him. Suddenly, lightning struck near him, disturbing his peace. "Uh?" He turned his head quickly in the direction, before sensing two strong presences towards the castle. He grinned from ear to ear. "Ah yes... I wasn't done with 'em yet..." He said, remaining in the position he had, arms spread wide in the sky. "Here we go!" He said as he propelled himself towards them at incredible speed.
At such top speed, the acceleration felt like an explosion and the blast left behind literally dug a crater in the earth. If the samurai had thought that these winds would have been enough to stop Kaza, then he would have been very wrong. The iron man split the air before him as he advanced, glowing a bright yellow-red as the heat from his carriage increased. It would have taken him only an instant, less than a pupil beat, before arriving in front of his prey, Ganon, towards the head of whom he would have sent a devastating, overpowered, Haki-imbued punch. This was inevitable.
Kaza was fast, incomprehensibly fast, but he still had mass, and he couldn't quite reach light speed. That slight difference, though seemingly insignificant, mattered. Lucky for Ganon, Kaza's mechanisms to start Lumin Gearshift were loud, a cacophony of whirring and clanking that echoed through the battlefield. This gave Ganon a crucial advantage; he wouldn't be totally caught off guard but would instead have a moment's notice to gauge the general direction from which Kaza would come.
Ganon closed his eyes briefly, focusing his senses. His Observation Haki, honed through countless battles, extended outwards like an invisible net, feeling for the slightest disturbance. He could sense Kaza's presence, a fast-moving blur of energy and metal. Every vibration, every shift in the air, was a clue to Kaza's next move.
As the telltale sound of Lumin Gearshift reached Ganon's ears, he zeroed in on the direction. His muscles tensed, ready to spring into action. He visualized Kaza's trajectory, calculating the timing needed to intercept his supersonic speed. It was a split-second decision, a move that required perfect synchronization.
He took a deep breath, his fist glowing with the power of his Busoshoku Haki. Time seemed to slow as he prepared to strike. Every muscle in his body coiled like a spring, ready to unleash a devastating punch.
Then, in the blink of an eye, Kaza appeared, a blur of motion and metallic fury. Ganon's eyes snapped open, locking onto the cyborg. With a roar, he launched his fist forward, aiming for the precise moment when Kaza would be within range. The world seemed to hold its breath as Ganon's punch cut through the air. The mere strength of his punch was enough to cause houses to upheave and monuments to be destroyed before his very might.
Yushin wouldn’t stand for such things. His anger festered, as Yushin began to also undergo a change.
Yushin’s clothes began to turn into clouds which wrapped around him like a robe, a flooding cape of a king. His once black hair, quickly shifted into a white and grey and his eyes double ringed.
From his blade, a cloak of lightning concentrated and compacted into a new crossair sword that was much larger then ninjas own body.
“Hehe…” whoosh.
But Kaza was still a fool in Yushin’s eyes. He was old but lacked experience or though it seemed. Today Yushin would showcase a ninjas true power, “Oi gramps!”
It was something Yushin couldn’t miss. The glowing yellow aura around him, the power although predictable was dangerous and Yushin could feel that.
The ninja would appear from behind Kaza, beside Kaza, beneath Kaza. Everywhere the pirate would turn he would see only Yushin and Ganon. Multiple clones were made in the image of the ninja all looking to attack the old man.
But the ninja wouldn’t wait to land an actual attack, no. Instead Yushin had caused each of his clones to release a lightning hydra toward Kaza and the vincinity. The blasts would destroy everything causing serves devastating explosions.
"He! Ya got some punch, kid!" Kaza screamed. Ganon and Kaza's fists touched, resulting in a cataclysmic explosion. The environment turned white, and a flash of light as bright as an explosion appeared above the city. But Kaza didn't have time to even charge another attack as Yushin came at him in turn.
"Hey, you again..." He said, frustrated but still smiling. "I hope you were prepared for the option where your attack would never hit me!" He continued. "And I also hope your lil friend here can handle what's about to happen!" As Yushin's clones appeared towards him, Kaza simply accelerated once more, towards Ganon. As earlier, his acceleration would be explosive, an explosion far greater than any of his weapons could create on their own. If Yushin's clones were made of lightning and cloud as he thought, then they would all simply be blasted away, not even giving them a chance to deliver a single attack. And Ganon, being in range too, would not only take Kaza's body, but the full force of the explosion directly at him. "How ya like that!"
"You're a weird old dude, aren't you?" Ganon said, his voice laced with a mix of curiosity and disdain. In a single swift motion, he shifted into a grappling stance, his body low and balanced, feet planted firmly on the ground. His knees were bent, ready to absorb impact, and his arms were positioned to either deflect or capture his opponent. His muscles tensed, coiled like a spring, ready to unleash a powerful counter.
Kaza was fast, incomprehensibly so, but Ganon had seen through his movements. At the core of Kaza's speed was the intent to tackle him, and Ganon knew how to counter that. He focused his Observation Haki, sensing the trajectory and intent of Kaza's charge. As the old cyborg hurtled towards him, Ganon's eyes narrowed, his concentration razor-sharp.
The sound of Kaza's approach was like a storm, a whirlwind of metal and fury. But Ganon stood his ground, letting the cyborg's momentum carry him forward. At the last moment, he braced himself, his mythical armor absorbing most of the impact. The collision was jarring, a clash of titans that sent shockwaves through the ground. Even with the armor's protection, Ganon felt the force of the tackle, pain radiating through his body.
Ganon gritted his teeth, channeling the pain into strength. With a deft twist of his body, he aimed to redirect Kaza's momentum. His arms moved like vipers, in an attempt to grasp Kaza's limbs.
The shockwaves would blast some of the clones away however Yushin had produced hundreds. Kaza was a brave man, diving straight into the battle.
Perhaps it was a sense of pride a pirate of his status had. Or maybe it was just his old robotic body starting to eat away at his brain matter. It was something to be respected and in that moment Yushin did.
Kaza was focused on the wrong person. Ganon was a threat, his superhuman abilities is what caught the ninjas attentions in the first place. But Yushin, he was the one who held the cyborgs life within the palm of his hands.
Kaza would be tackling Ganon interlocking within a grapple. From behind like a mountain lion, Kaza was left with no time to react. Yushin his blade clad in will his haki intensifying against the obsidian blade. With mighty force he swung the sword across the neck of Kaza with enough force to cleave his neck, Yushin using his internal destruction to cleave the bone and metals.
His hybrid form granted him a bolster in strength, speed, agility and durability, making this the strongest sword swing attempted by Yushin today.
“Reimei Ocho: Getsutaki”
Kaza and Ganon had engaged in a fight in the air. Kaza had crashed into him and Ganon was now holding his arms. "Man, you are some-" he said before cutting himself off. His Observation Haki was alarmed, he was in danger. "Your friend again..." he complained. "Can't ya leave us alone? Ya jealous or something?"
And so, as soon as Yushin began to launch his attack, Kaza activated the reactors on his back and feet to full power. But it wasn't to run away, but rather to turn on himself vertically. In this way, the Iron Man would have put himself out of harm's way, using Ganon as a shield instead. The monstrous attack would then crash into the right side of the armoured samurai's abdomen. If this attack had been so powerful, so fast, Yushin would have taken his own friend's life before he could even understand what had happened. Kaza smiled hysterically.
"Oh old man, when will you learn?" A voice whispered into Kaza's ear. Yushin's blade came down with mighty force aimed for Ganon's neck, but Yushin had far more control of his fruit to let such a simple means of escape, prevent Kaza from his doom. Yushin grinned as the body started to form into pure lightning, before being erased within a second.
"Wipe that smug look off your face jerk!"
The attack on his own ally was void, but for Kaza, the ninja came from behind him already in motion. Yushin had blasted a small bullet of lightning causes a small EMP blast that would cover their proximity. Yushin had already been thinking of multiple ways win this battle, brute force was something he couldn't do. The damage was displayed to have no effect on Kaza, was he immune, no. He was a robot, cyborg made from metal and screws. But with all forms of machinery, the Iron Man's one strength was his one weakness.
The EMP blast was quick and precise the electrical output to knock out the reactors within Kaza effectively ridding him of his trump card and shutting him down. As the EMP blast went off Yushin had already aimed to deliver three slashes toward Kaza's back effectively getting more strong. The speed in which the ninja moved was remarkable, a triple slash that looked like one cut. Each slash packed with the same force that torn into Kaza's chest, the haki flooding from his blade.
Yushin didn't stop there no, instead, he zipped to Kaza's left side slashing his shoulder, the his right then his spine, the ninja's Kenjutsu was impressive, being sure to only cut Kaza and Kaza alone. The robot would only see after images and blurs as if the paranoia of the shadows lurking within the corner of the eyes.
"He vanished, what the- argh!" Kaza exclaimed as he began to feel destitute of all. His reactors were shutting down one after the other. "What is that? An EMP?" he asked himself. Everything in his robotic body that required electricity stopped working immediately. But fortunately for Kaza, all his vital functions and the use of his demon fruit required no electricity; Kaza was a human in a robotic body. And if Yushin thought that would be enough to defeat the Iron Pirate, then he was barking up the wrong tree. The Iron Man used one of his last-resort techniques as Yushin began to attack.
--
This technique was an ability he called the "No-Clip". It consisted in firing missiles as he did with his fruit, then blocking them before they came out, instantly detonating them, propelling him in the desired direction or destroying whatever he wanted to destroy. In this way, Kaza generated dozens of missiles above his head, before blocking them, detonating them instantly.
--
Thus, even before Yushin's first attack reached him, the missiles exploded, propelling Kaza in the only direction Yushin had not thought of attacking - downwards. Not only that, but Ganon too, still catching Kaza, would have taken the full force of the explosion. In an instant, Kaza began his frenzied descent towards the ground, generating more and more missiles in the same place and repeating the cycle. He looked at Ganon with a smile. "We're going down together here, Ganon! My captain will take good care of yer lil friend!" he exclaimed hysterically. Before he hit the ground, Kaza detonated missiles near his right arm; with the force of the explosion, Ganon would have been forced to let go, or rather, he would have had no choice. "It's nothing personal, kid!"
"Yeah, nothing personal," Ganon said, his voice a mix of determination and disdain. Despite the searing heat emanating from Kaza, hotter than a celestial flame, Ganon didn't waver. Pain was an old companion, one that he had long since learned to endure. With the strength granted by his mythical armor, he was prepared to face this head-on.
Ignoring the agony of his burning flesh where the heat penetrated the armor, Ganon tightened his grip on Kaza's back. His muscles bulged with the effort, and the mythical scales of the armor glowed faintly, protecting him from the worst of the heat. But it still hurt, the pain like molten lava against his skin. Gritting his teeth, he channeled all his strength into his arms.
"You're done," he growled through the pain, his voice a low rumble.
With a final surge of power, Ganon squeezed with all his might. The battlefield rang out with a sickening snap, a noise that echoed through the chaos of the fight. Kaza's spine shattered under the pressure, his mechanical body unable to withstand the force.
Ganon released Kaza, his hands blistered and raw, but the armor had done its job. He activated his cloud shoes, a gift from Yushin, and boosted off just as the missiles Kaza had generated detonated. The explosion below was deafening, a massive shockwave that threatened to tear him apart.
The force of the blast was immense, but Ganon's armor absorbed much of the impact, though it still felt like being hit by a runaway train. He was thrown upward, tumbling through the air before he crashed onto the ground, his body hurting and his mind racing.
"Gahhh!!" Kaza screamed out in pain as he listened to a crack in his back. Blood dripped from his lips as he crashed to the ground on his feet. "My back, how?" He thought. His spine had been broken under the unheard-of violence of the impact. Fortunately for him, thanks to his rigid exoskeleton, he was able to stay on his feet. Not only that, but his endoskeleton was also peculiar; in fact, it had two metal plates on the sides in addition to his spine. Although originally used as a defense against blows to the ribs and as a piston for his foot and back movements, it now served as a support for his entire upper body, keeping him upright as best he could.
"Kid... That... If i wasn't who i am i'd have been dead brat!" He said, smiling despite the pain, blood around his lips. Hidden behind his smile and his extravagant character, Kaza knew it; he was defeated. These two rookies had managed to get the better of him. But Kaza wasn't going to be defeated here alone; he wanted to take someone with him. "But ya know how the saying goes... No rest for the wicked!"
Immediately, Kaza reached into his pockets and pulled out a dozen small electronic devices which he placed around him in a circle before covering them with a little dust with his feet to camouflage them. As soon as he had finished, he repeated his No-Clip technique from under his hands first, taking care not to touch the electronic devices; before continuing under his feet once he was in the air. He was moving directly towards Ganon. His speed as it was wasn't very high, probably equal to his base speed or his First Gear, but it was enough to quickly close the distance between him and Ganon before going to catch him.
"Come with me, let's have a final dance!" He exclaimed as he would grab Ganon by the jaw. "One final explosive dance!" He would continue. He would then climb not very high into the air, just a few dozen meters, so as not to waste any time and give Ganon a chance to escape or be helped by his companion. Soon after reaching the air, Kaza raised his voice, "Lumina Dial, Maximum Output!" And so, one by one, all the devices on the ground lit up. They glowed bright yellow, but as Kaza would have covered them with dust, they would have gone completely unnoticed until the inevitable moment.
Immediately, each of the devices fired a high-powered laser beam directly at Kaza, who would still have had Ganon in his hands. All the laser beams would have converged on him, coming together directly on the pirate, triggering a cataclysmic explosion, inevitable and lethal in the purest sense. The explosion would have been more powerful than any attack Kaza had yet performed, creating a shockwave that would have reduced to ashes and steam anything unfortunate enough to be in range. These laser beams, unlike the Iron Man's, were actually moving at the speed of light itself; so no one on this battlefield, not even Kaza himself, could have avoided or even worse, blocked them. Kaza wanted to defeat one of these pirates and was ready to "sacrifice" himself for it, even if it cost him his "life". Kaza would have smiled at Ganon as the explosion would begin to embrace them.
"You just don't go down, do you?" Ganon growled, his voice a mix of frustration and determination. Drawing upon the formidable strength granted by his mythical armor, he swiftly delivered a powerful punch to Kaza's ribs. The impact resonated with a metallic clang, but Ganon was undeterred.
As he dug his fingers into Kaza's side, he could feel the searing heat of the cyborg's overheated systems burning through the armor, but he pushed through the pain. Ganon's Observation Haki guided him, allowing him to sense the intricate mechanisms within Kaza's body. He quickly located the two contraptions embedded near the ribs—mechanisms that mimicked the function of ribs and allowed Kaza to move even without his spine.
"Got you," Ganon muttered, his voice laced with grim satisfaction.
With a surge of raw power, Ganon tightened his grip on the contraptions. The armor's scales glowed brighter, enhancing his strength to superhuman levels. The heat was nearly unbearable, but Ganon's focus remained unbroken. With a mighty roar, he attempted to yank the contraptions out, with full intent of tearing through wires and flesh with brute force.
As soon as Kaza reached over to grab Ganon, Ganon reversed the trend by grabbing Kaza's sides. "Oh..." Kaza said, worried, understanding that Ganon had found his weak spot. "Oh... You noticed, uh??? I knew you weren't a pussy, let's dance a bit!" Kaza exclaimed, smiling despite the pain. Ganon's fingers pierced his skin, his muscles, before reaching his bionic skeleton. But Kaza was already airborne thanks to his No-Clip, and took advantage of this to drag Ganon with him by force.
He shrieked and pushed, climbing dozens of meters into the sky before they began to hear cracking noises. Kaza coughed up blood but was still smiling. "Lumina Dial, Maximum Output!!!" He shouted as he grabbed Ganon's wrists with all his might, preventing him from any possibility of escape. It was the end of the fight. Immediately, the devices detonated, each firing super-powerful laser beams in Kaza's direction. These lasers travelled at unstoppable speed, the absolute speed limit, the speed of light, and no one on the battlefield could block or dodge such an attack. Converging in the same direction, the laser beams would meet directly on the two pirates, resulting in an explosion worthy of the end of the world, turning all forms of existence in the vicinity into vapor and ash. Ganon had been forced into this game, and it would be because of this final, fatal decision. Kaza, bleeding, smiled at Ganon as they were engulfed by the cataclysmic explosion.
As the explosion engulfed them, Ganon's entire body was covered in Haki, forming a protective barrier around him. His Oni-Mask, a symbol of his strength and ferocity, was obliterated in the initial blast. The protective shell of Haki absorbed much of the initial shock, but the sheer force of the explosion was overwhelming.
The world around him seemed to slow down as the cataclysmic energy surged through the air. The searing heat and blinding light were all-consuming, yet Ganon's will remained unbroken. The force of the explosion hurled him backward, his body battered, but he refused to yield.
When the dust settled and the deafening roar of the explosion faded, Ganon emerged from the epicenter of the devastation. His body had been through it and if it wasn't for the Haki and his armor he would have completely annihilated. The World Lifer armor clung to his frame, fully intact and still powerful.
Ganon fell to his knees, gasping for breath, every inch of his body screaming in pain. His Oni-Mask was gone, shattered into countless fragments, revealing his determined and bloodied face. Despite the excruciating pain, he managed to rise to his feet, his eyes scanning the battlefield for any sign of Kaza.
"Heyyy, Ganon!" Kaza exclaimed from a remote location. Despite all expectations, Kaza was on his feet. "You almost had me there!" he exclaimed again. His body was completely black, from head to toe, he didn't even look like he had at the start of the fight. He struck both his ribs. "The explosion happened right when you were about to completely remove them, yer a freak!" He said with a thump. "Luckily for me, the explosion separated us before that happened, so all I had to do was hit 'em to put 'em back!" He said ecstatically. He was in the crater but the damage he'd taken wasn't serious, he just looked very dark. He began to move forward slowly.
"I'd have died in that explosion if my body worked like yours! Mine absorbs light! I thought ya'd have guessed that by now! Where did ya think my Lumin Gearshift came from?" he explained. He was wobbly, and it was obvious that he wasn't in his right mind. He had a limp, but tried not to show it. And that smile was still there. "Well now, time to die will ya?" He said as he stopped, putting his hand in front of him. "Night night..." He finished by firing one last missile at Ganon, trying to put an end to this legendary and chaotic confrontation. Just as this rocket was released, beginning its journey towards Ganon's battered face, Kaza, the iron man, the invincible, fainted. He'd simply given it his all, and wanted to finish the job with this missile. He fell face down on the ground, smiling.
Seeing the missile hurtling toward him, Ganon was momentarily taken aback by its apparent sluggishness. After his intense battle with Kaza, who moved with blinding speed, the missile seemed almost laughably slow. His senses, honed to razor-sharp precision from the confrontation, now felt heightened and finely attuned to any threat.
He shifted his weight effortlessly, his movements fluid and precise. The missile's approach was no more alarming to him than a leaf drifting on a breeze. With a slight twist of his body, Ganon sidestepped the missile, the explosive projectile missing him by mere inches.
The missile continued its path, sailing harmlessly past him and detonating a short distance away. The explosion's roar echoed across the battlefield, a stark contrast to Ganon's calm demeanor.
At the same time, the man, the myth, the legend, the Admiral of the Pantheon Pirates, Kairos Thieron was finally on the move. His every move commanded respect, moving gracefully forward, his gaze straight and his expression stern. His dark purple fur coat moved behind him like a hero's cape as he unsheathed his gigantic sword; but he was far from a hero, he was a monster. A monster who was now determined to kill.
Gods and Creatures[]
The Admiral of the Pantheon Pirates, Kairos Thieron, advanced towards the battlefield, one hand firmly wrapped around the hilt of his gigantic sword, the Nordstjernen. His charisma was unrivalled, his figure imposing, it was as if the world held its breath as the king emerged from his lair. This being was not limited by common mortal standards, he was in a realm all his own. Long dreads fell to the bottom of his chest, accompanying, on both sides, his face, which bore an expression that could not have been more severe. While it might look as if he were walking into the light from inside the castle, the monster was actually heading for a landscape of devastation, and this was a blot on his prestige; a stain that he was now going to remove personally, once and for all.
"You've made a fine mess of my territory, I see. Unfortunately, you're not strong enough to stand up to me. So I'll only ask you once..." His tone was firm, almost intimidating. A raging sky stretched above him. His every step seemed to shake the ground. "Are you going to surrender now..." He continued, calm as a breeze. But he wasn't, the veins on his forehead gave him away. The sound of his footsteps intensified as he was about to step through the door and outside. "Or are you going to continue playing pirates?!" He said as he stepped through the door. As soon as his foot hit the ground, his right eye sparked and in a brilliant white flash of pressure, a wave of spiritual pressure emanated from his body, a wave of unparalleled power. The world itself bore the brunt of the captain's spirit power, as purple and black bolts of royal lightning struck the surrounding sky and earth. The ground shook, the water boiled, the air was rapidly compressed and released, and the trees fell. Every living being in the entire region would suddenly find itself unable to breathe before fainting under the effect of the capital's royal power. The wave pressed down over the ground and earth, causing it to quake, shake, and break under his will. This was an unprecedented demonstration. The king had thus marked his territory.
The thunder above them cracked and howled, for the first time the atmosphere was calm. The faint sounds of rain and distant raging fire burning Nyxis to the ground were heard along with the screams of his people. Yushin stood on the rumbled floor watching the creature's presence finally reveal itself.
Yushin's eyes did not once leave Thieron, not even for a single moment. Yushin had stripped his kimono from his body revealing his muscular physique, that final explosion by Kaza caused some small burns and scrapes but nothing more he couldn't handle. The immediate cockiness was something that made Yushin smirk.
The time was finally here until a brilliant pressure crashed over the area, "Is that Haoshoku?" He thought to himself as he watched the dragon emerge from his cave. Yet the warrior did not waver, instead he just stood steadfast, "So you're one of them too huh? A King. It's kinda insulting to the others no? You, a traitor, a rat, having such gifts is beyond me. I know men with half the strength of you that deserve it much more."
Yuhsin stepped forward through the pressure willing himself to move beyond his dominating presence. Yushin laughed at the pirate that stood before him, "I think I'll continue playing pirate, just like you marine. I'll do you one better, I won't even bring out my strongest form, instead. I'll defeat you like the swordsman of my country..." Yushin drew his blade from his waist already pulling out a Haki imbued blade, "...Straight Steel work. YUHAHAHAH!"
Cracks of thunder and lightning shot out from the sky and shot downward.
Just after Yushin had finished saying these words, the wave of spiritual pressure seemed to double in intensity. Now it wasn't just her devastating the environment, but lightning and wind too. Thunder thundered as flashes of white and blue illuminated the area. The wind picked up as if in a storm. Kairos Thieron stood, firmly anchored to the ground. His fur coat billowed in the wind behind him. "And what do you really think you know about me, kid?!" he exclaimed. His eyes were empty, but you could tell he was killing the samurai with his stare. "It makes you wonder what those damn reporters are saying about me in the papers... But I'd like to tell you that you've been very misinformed." He continued.
"Where do you think you are? In a daycare center? You're on pirate territory, kid! You rookies of this generation are impertinent and devoid of sense, the proof being that you'll have had the nerve to come and face me alone on my own turf. Believing the New World's lies will be your undoing." He exclaimed almost solemnly. This affair would now have become not a confrontation, but more like a lesson to be memorized by heart, the adult teaching the child.
He put his right hand in front of him, began to generate lightning in his palm before his whole body was enveloped by a layer of electricity, pierced in two places by red glows - his eyes. His eyes never left his prey. The confrontation between two divine beings was about to begin. The dragon against the epeist, the master of the skies against the god of storms, who would emerge victorious from this battle? It was about to be known as the Admiral uttered the following words, "I don't think you would have survived in a one-on-one against Kaza, but I invite you to prove me wrong. Bring it on."
Yushin just held his face and laughed, "Kaza? That bum, please. He is a senile old man, just like you. I don't believe you are as strong as they say you are." The ninja looked into the face of the beast and laughed, his arrogance and cocky aura were unrelenting. Removing his hand from his face he pointed his sword toward Theiron.
"You know, since this is your house, I'll let you make the first attempt. How about that old man?" He asked as he put his sword away back in his sheath and extended his arms out wide. "Show me your strength storm dragon."
"Ah! You look pretty confident to me for someone who needed a companion to even damage Kaza." Thieron commented. He remained firm in his place and didn't move. The wind seemed to die down around him. Did Yushin think he was intimidating him? He didn't seem the least bit intimidated; he hadn't even drawn his saber.
Thieron kept a watchful eye on Yushin, ready for any kind of slip-up. He watched the whole area, leaving no blind spot. He had no intention of moving, and no intention of being caught off guard. "You come to attack me but don't have the guts to even attack me? Are you scared, are you frightened of me? You really are pathetic."
"Me pathetic, please. I have more wins under my belt then you do hairs on your head. I get that you are frightened by my mystique and Goldy aura, so if you won't attack first. Your loss..." Yushin broke the sound barrier and reached Therion within a blink. The ground he kicked off of broke into a several small craters showing the power in that the samurai mustered.
Yushin's movement's were like a blur, his right arm throwing a combination of rights, japs, and uppercuts, all aimed toward his torso. Each punch was packed with enough power to break bones, Yushin's beastly nature putting more power into each punch. Even if blocked Therion would be pushed back by the strikes, spurts of haki flowing from Yushin's fist's into the body of the large target.
Yushin thought Therion to be a step up from Kaza, even though Kaza was fast. That's all he was, fast. Therion he had to take more seriously, after all he was the man with the 500,000,000 bounty. Yushin's movements were effortless, sticking true to his words.
"I ought to crush you until there's nothing left." Thieron spoke in a calm tone as Yushin charged towards him. He followed the samurai's every move to the letter, letting no attack pass him by. And wherever Yushin threw a punch, an Admiral's own punch would already be waiting for him, imbued with an advanced form of Armament Haki, thus engaging in a series of intense clashes. The blows exchanged and bumped into each other along the way, each imbued with advanced Haki, never touching, but just seeming to repel. From an observer's point of view, their arms would not have been visible, but would have looked more like blurred images. Then suddenly, Kairos Thieron used a skill he'd learned during his time in the Navy, uttering the words "Soru." And, quite simply, vanished.
At almost the same moment, lightning struck and a beam of light dazzled the battlefield. From the bolt emanated the king, Thieron, who seemed to materialize from the electric particles. He wore a petty smile, a smile filled with malice. "Come again, kid!"
Therion and Yushin moved with strength, Yushin expected nothing less from the storm dragon.
"Those damn marine tricks..." Yushin he thought as he moved at the sight of Therion's vanishing presence, he was quick for such a big man, but Yushin was just as quick. Turning his body he noticed the beast of a man before him taunting him, Yushin again attacked, leaping toward the pirate he performed a double roundhouse kick using emission, the first kick aimed for his ribs the second aimed for his knee. Each kick was powerful like a bat infused with the hardest of diamonds.
Yushin's movements were tight and neat, flawless. These were movements practiced countless times, a honed skill. Yushin would show Therion his strength.
Yushin's attacks were precise, fast and very well executed. The problem was that, although these attacks landed on their target, it wasn't the right one. As his kicks landed on their target, the latter was literally cut off before starting to turn into several thousand electric particles. It was a clone. "Just who are you trying to hit? Do you really fall for your own traps?" The clone said before evaporating, smiling before being completely destroyed. Yushin would barely have time to figure out what had happened before an incredibly malevolent presence appeared just a few meters behind him.
The crew's admiral, this time in person, was already in attack position, with his mythical saber in his hands, imbued with Internal Destruction, and not smiling. "Hakoku...!" He shouted as he brought his sword back with full power. Thus, a cataclysmic shockwave, so powerful that cutting through a mountain would have been more of a formality, was sent at breakneck speed towards Wano's samurai, sent so fast that it would have taken only an immeasurably small instant of time before closing the tiny distance between the two men. This attack was overpowering, and sent with the aim of finishing him off, it was as if the world itself stopped as the king launched an attack for the first time, an attack he had used nearly thirty years ago in his fight against the Emperor of Elbaf. "Ragnarok!!!"
"So he can do the same things as me too. That must go the same for me...I wonder..." Yushin quickly dispersed the clones with ease and sensed the an attack coming. The wicked aura that filled the air was carried in the wind, Yushin could feel his presence in the winds currents.
"Behind..." Yushin moved quickly, without thinking rather. Something his body had been accustomed to doing in his years of combat, the Ninja kicked off the air launching him to the side, just avoiding the attack from the pirate. As the sword made contact with the ground shockwaves and craters formed rippling the ground from the sheer force of the kings might.
But Yushin had evaded the attack, "Rusty are yah old man?"
"Maybe so, punk!" He exclaimed. The fact that the kid had managed to avoid his attack shocked him, but he had no time to daydream, not in the least. As soon as he landed, he crouched down, putting his hand on the ground. Quickly, he generated a bolt of lightning from his spider-webbed hand, which struck the ground in a very wide radius around him, cracking and destroying it without wasting a second. Thus, having avoided the Admiral's attack, Yushin would find himself falling straight into a hole that had just been created.
Thieron leapt into the air, his saber hilt in his mouth and his hands folded into fists. Once again, his red eyes glared down at the samurai as he imbued his arms with advanced Haki. "RAHHHHHH!!!!" A bestial scream emanated from his mouth as he seemed to strike downwards, into the void, once, then countless times. But where Thieron's own fists wouldn't have hit the samurai, it would be the shockwaves from his attacks that would collide with him before pushing him back, then driving him into the ground.
As if Yushin would remain a sitting duck, upon the ground being cracked Yushin darted back several skips each several meters apart. It was like he was gliding across the ground but really it was just Yushin's use of clouds on his feet. He ended up avoiding another attack from Therion and decided to make his move, Boom!
A burst of speed broke the sound barrier yet again, and Yushin attempted to drive his knee coated in emission and internal to the ribs of the giant. His body was large, too large. Yushin was nimble able to get around his large exterior, it would be sooner or later Therion would be hit,
And this attack did. Too busy striking seemingly into the void, Thieron wouldn't have anticipated that Yushin would attack him because he hadn't been under the devastating onslaught. Thieron received a powerful blow to the chest. This attack was not just any attack, it was an attack on his inner self. "Hm!" Thieron gritted his teeth and bled from the pain, but it wasn't as if he hadn't taken blows like this before; in fact, he'd taken stronger, more dangerous ones. He wasn't worried.
On the other hand, Yushin had just made a mistake, and that would have been to get a little too close to the king. It was a huge and now irreparable mistake, as Thieron threw out his Advanced Haki-imbued fist to punch Yushin at the head. Although Thieron's size was a handicap against opponents smaller than him, it could also prove to be a help, a plus point, as it meant he had a simply immense wingspan, and therefore a larger space around him in which he could reach things. If Yushin were to get hit, which would probably be the case, he'd find himself in a lot of trouble.
Yushin brought up his arms as a guard blocking his head. Theron’s massive fist was nearly the size of his whole torso. Protecting himself in a fortified layer of haki, Yushin could still feel the strength and weight of the blow in full effect.
His muscles and body tensed taking the strike. The moment they made contact another burst of canon fire sounded. Therion had launched Yushin through a nearby building.
He looked like a comet crashing upon the earth, his body unwavering through brutish beating. His head spun and his ears rung until he made contact with the ground.
He skidded a few meters before doing a backhand spring onto his feet. He stumbled a bit, before regaining his stance. “Huff, Huff” He stood in angst waiting for Therion his eyes gleaming that red.
"I see..." Thieron said as he began to rub his chin with his hand. He was still in the air at this point, and strangely, unlike Yushin who had fallen, he looked like he was standing on air. "Ever since I started watching you, I've noticed similarities between you and me. You can use lightning, can't you? Are you perhaps the holder of Goro Goro no Mi?" He questioned the samurai, as a smile began to form on his lips.
The light of a dark, overcast sky shone down on him from behind, and only the red glow of his eyes pierced the shadow drawn across his face. He rubbed his chin before chuckling, saying "Pff... There's no way..." before continuing, "Despite this, you've managed to pique my interest, so I invite you to a duel using our specialty." lowering his hand from his chin. Immediately, he began to materialize lightning from the palm of his hand, before appearing to be completely enveloped by an electric aura. "Arm yourself."
"Let's see who has the most powerful lightning!"
As soon as the name of this attack was uttered, he positioned himself like a javelin thrower about to swing his spear. He moved his right hand to the side and his left hand forward, as if he were using it as a sight. The wind blew in all directions, billowing the admiral's cape as a gigantic electrical structure began to form out of nothing. This structure formed very rapidly, revealing itself to be a spear, similar to the jūmonji yari, simply gigantic and immensely long, dwarfing the captain in size and dazzling him in brightness. The capital was lit up, as if a new sun had just appeared, but this one wasn't yellow, it was a striking blue.
And then finally, like a professional athlete, the Dark Knight began to execute the throw, sending the spear towards Yushin with all his might and speed. Although it looked like any other electrical attack, this one had a secret. What Yushin had no way of knowing was that, unlike him, Thieron could make the elements he controlled tangible. This spear, though electric, was solid. This simply meant that if Yushin responded with an elemental attack, no matter how powerful, shaped or sized, it would get utterly annihilated.
Yushin would then be struck by lightning as if by a blunt attack, as if the heavens themselves had decided to give him one. This was a duel in which there could only be one winner, and Yushin's acceptance of the duel, should it occur, would mark his inevitable defeat. Revealing one's cards was not part of the pirate code, as Kairos Thieron had long understood.
"So we do have the same powers, at first it was a hunch. But now he confirms my theory..." Yushin thought as his focus dialed back into the battle. His gaze fixated onto the dark knight and his attack, Yushin sinking his hips into a horse stance and bringing his hands in front of him. He wouldn't follow along with Therion's request, instead he looked to do the opposite.
The spear cracked and hissed as it roared through, the ninja closed his eyes then took a deep breath in and a deep breath out. The spear was faster then the naked eye could track and for Yushin this was something he had to feel. He concentrated his senses on the spear and that alone, he could feel the wind pushing against his skin, shifting and alerting it's power.
It was in the final moments of the spear coming close within proximity that Yushin ducked his and slipped to the right letting the end of the spear pass by him. Rotating his body and reaching for the handle of the spear with his haki-coated hands, he followed its momentum. His flawlessness and polearm work was incredible, he spun and danced as he took ahold of the spear, now within the grasp of the gods hands.
Finishing with a twirling flip and land, Yushin now holding the Yari spear looked at the dark knight. The blade cackling within his grasp.
"You're a bore, kid." Thieron spoke up. In truth, he was amazed that Yushin had been able to avoid the attack, or even catch it. But now was not the time for praise, he wanted to teach Yushin a lesson, he wanted to show the samurai that he was in a whole different class. Once again, Thieron pointed his hands skywards, and lightning struck his palms. By the time the flash of light had lost its sublimity, two more light-blue figures had formed in the captain's palms, as if the sky itself had just given him a present. "You think you're flashy because you know how to do a couple of acrobatics? Ha!" He said, bending down as the two figures formed into two new electric spears.
These were less luminous than the first, proof that they were therefore less powerful, then they seemed to disappear as the captain enveloped them in a cloudy layer in the second, never giving Yushin time to notice them. Despite this, they and the first had one trait in common: tangibility. "Let's see..."
At once, the captain swung the electric spears, not towards Yushin, but towards the sky. They went at immense speed, piercing the air and then the clouds as they advanced. At the same time, he left his stationary position in the air and charged towards Yushin on the wind itself, pushing himself through the air. He infused his arm with advanced Haki as he zoomed towards his prey. The knight, or rather king, was on the attack. In the blink of an eye, he was at a comfortable distance, delivering a super-powerful punch.
As it advanced, it cracked the air and seemed to split the world in two. But this is where his plan would come into play; indeed, Yushin still had the spear in his hand at this point, but being a product of Thieron's devil fruit, he had total authority over it, even if it was in other hands. So, if Yushin sent the spear towards the captain as a counter, the latter would simply make it dissipate, leaving the samurai with no chance of defending himself; thus, he would take this superhuman, out-of-this-world power of this attack right in the face. The admiral was beginning to play his cards, and he wouldn't let anyone else use them against him.
Yushin wasted no time attacking Therion the moment the spears left his hands. It seemed that the dark knight had the same intentions, the two looked like beasts charging toward each other.
The lightning spear in his left hand hung by his waist as he too coated his right fist of imbued advanced Haki. Yushin right arm surged with power as he tightened his grip. From his hip Yushin sank and sprung his right arm upward toward Therion's left fist, notable sizes larger than his own. The ninja's power flooded from his arm against Therion's, "This is more like it! No parlor tricks!"
The clash itself looked as though they both struck the air, but it was far from that. The engagement of wills caused the earth beneath them to sink, crumble, and crater. Yushin just smiled in the face of the king, he loved battle, the nearness of death only made him feel more alive.
The moment didn't last long as Yushin sensed something coming, "Above..." The ninja within an instant disappeared and reappeared, in the air kicked from the earth were large building pieces of the castle launched above his head. They were there as protection of what was to come, Yushin acted swiftly knowing not to stay in the same place for too long.
The clash was intense, the strengths of the two fighters similar. The wind blew fiercely, the two fists never touching. It was a duel of the titans, just the way Thieron liked it. But as the clash reached its climax, Yushin disappeared and reappeared further away, now displaying a slightly more defensive posture. Thieron had noticed something too - his plan hadn't gone unnoticed. "Oh... He noticed, huh?"
Thieron smiled, deciding to play along. In an instant, Thieron executed a hand sign, which caused a gigantic lightning attack to fall from the sky, slamming into the samurai's pebbles. But what the ninja didn't know was that this was not the right attack; in truth, this was just normal lightning. The two celestial arrows were still in the sky. Thieron removed his sword from his mouth and took it in his hands before rushing towards the samurai, not even giving him time to daydream. He wanted to do everything he could to make the ninja forget the celestial threat hanging over him, and when he eventually would, it would be the end of him.
The lightning struck the debris but Yushin was already moving, he knew something was coming. But when, he reacted to knight closing in on him, imbuing his foot with advanced haki he aimed to deliver a triple kick combo to his ribs,
"Very good." Thieron thought he'd managed to draw the wolf out of its hiding place. He grinned wickedly as the samurai lunged at him to attack. Thieron was not going to let this mistake go. Thieron waved his hand once more, bringing it down sharply. Immediately, the sky seemed to split in two as the clouds parted, revealing a divine blue glow. The spears had been released and were now frantically advancing towards their target, slicing through the air before them with disconcerting ease. The whistling of the sky was silent, neither felt nor heard.
With Thieron's massive body in front of him, Yushin had no viable escape route: if he tried to move to the side, one of the Admiral's fists would be waiting for him there; to the rear, the spears were waiting. And as they advanced, they'd only get larger. faster. But before they reached a comfortable range, they would mix into one, giving birth to a single gigantic spear, similar in brightness and power to the previous one. And all this took only an instant.
Should Yushin be struck by the arrow in the back, the shock would be so violent that he would be dislodged from the ground and propelled straight towards the Dark Knight. The latter would then use Kami-E, the emblematic Rokushiki technique, and his body would begin to move almost on its own, moving out of the ninja's way with almost supernatural flexibility and fluidity. Once past the samurai, Thieron would bring his fist, imbued with Advanced Haki, straight down towards the back of the samurai's neck, striking it with unprecedented brutality. And you don't have to be a genius to know that a well-placed blow to the back of the neck simply meant...
Death.
The arrows fired, it was like Yushin was in pinned his back against the wall, but no. In his disperse of kicks Yushin summoned multiple cloud clones around him some of which leapt toward the arrows.
The soared as if it was Yushin himself, kicking off the air the clones hands of haki struck the attacks with an open palm. A shockwave of force redirecting them into the ground around Yushin and Theiron. The knight weaved and dodged through Yushin's barrage of kicks, and looped for his back the ninja still keeping up with him toe to toe.
As he brought his fist down Yushin tossed a leg imbued of advanced haki to counter it, both attacks not touching but the clash felt by the environment, "Come on old man? Too slow?
Those same clone from the sky both attack Therion from behind attempting to hit him with an assault of punches and kicks.
"And what do you really think you know? What do you think your pathetic clones will do to me? Were you honest with yourself when you decided to attack me in my own territory by yourself? I wonder what you were told about me, but let me tell you, the reality... Is quite different." The admiral spoke with a voice that emanated disgust. For all Yushin's fine tricks, his opinion of the Wano samurai hadn't changed at all. His territory and his commander were in a deplorable state, all because of two reckless rookies. As the clones launched their attacks, Thieron used the air around him to lift himself off the ground, before pushing himself into the air, pointing his index finger skyward.
His eyes seemed to pierce the very soul of the God of Lightning, glowing an intimidating red. He commanded respect.
"You're just a naive, impertinent kid. I don't think you have the slightest idea how utterly catastrophic the situation you're in really is." He said as he rose into the sky. He turned his left hand, its index finger pointing skyward, so that its palm faced the ground. With his index finger, once again, he drew a circle on the air, before making a circle with all his fingers. Immediately, a vast area around him was encircled under his commander by an invisible barrier of air, hardened instantly with Armament Haki.
It was shaped like a cylinder, taking its base from the ground and rising straight up to the clouds. But above all, it was simply impenetrable from any direction.
"Fight me? You've got to be kidding me. And for that you'll pay with your life! You can only blame your indignation on whoever sent you in as cannon fodder." He continued. With the barrier in place, it was time to unleash a monstrous attack. The knight clenched his right fist and pointed it skyward.
"The air takes my form, but a thousand times bigger. Once I have control over the heavens, nothing in this world can stop me." Thieron enunciated, but now it wasn't as if he were talking to Yushin, it sounded more like he was talking to himself, as if he were performing some kind of ritual. Once again, having given a command to the wind, it obliged. The air around him took on his form, like a realistic sculpture of himself, but this one was gigantic, even surpassing the clouds, but also, once again, invisible.
If his fist had once been as large as a torso, the fist of his air sculpture would have been able to cover an entire city block. He put his elbow back, as if to charge his attack, imitated by his wind sculpture at the same moment, before bringing his fist back to the circle he'd made with his left hand, closing it.
"Get crushed!" The Wind Sculpture executed cleanly, sending its fist, imbued with Internal Destruction, towards Yushin. Having created a barrier around it that would have been a perfect fit for the wind giant's fist, Thieron had essentially blocked Yushin from any form of escape, in any direction. If he jumped towards Thieron, the fist would crush him, if he went to the sides, he'd be blocked by the barrier. Thieron was determined to crush every living thing in his barrier, and his resolve was unshakeable, absolute and thoroughly unwavering.
Yushin just laughed in the chaos of the storm the dark knight created. It was truly breathtaking the skill and the experience, it was beautiful. A multitude of factors played in creating this masterpiece. A true work of art.
To Yushin, that's all it was. Art. Something a creature painted a god upon the canvas of open space between the earth and the heavens. "YAHAHAHA!"
Yushin was no stranger to strong winds, he flew in storms much stronger than this in his youth. As the pirate monologued to himself Yushin knew an attack was coming so he prepared for it.
The fact was that Yushin couldn't even hear him from the strong winds carrying the sound from out of the place. All he saw was his lips flapping around, I guess old men just liked to talk for some reason.
The ninja focused on his form and stance, sinking his hips deep into a horse stance. A violent force shot from around him cracking the earth beneath his feet, again, and again, a triple crater was made in only a second.
He pulled both of his hands down beside his hips both palms facing his aggressor. His white glow of aura around his arms manifested his Haki, starting from the tips of his fingers the will coated his entire arm, reaching his shoulders, the ends of his haki pattern looked like razor sharp clouds, a combination of lightning and cloud.
"Weakling!" He shouted, his arms flexing, along with the rest of his muscles, his haki grew further along his body creating a brand new haki tattoo. Yushin looked different from before, more of a man then his normal youthful appearance. Was this the work of his fruit? No, its was simply his work ethic. His body was something he had complete mastery over more than his own fruit itself.
Kairos threw his attack, hurdling speeds toward Yushin that couldn't be seen but only felt. Feeling was one thing, Yushin was basking in this moment, he'd been looking for someone to test his might on. Perhaps this pirate could be him.
Sparks shooting from Yushin's haki-coated body he at the same time launched his own attack. A practice done many times in his youth, a simple stiff-arm shove but this time. This time it was different. This was a specific Haki technique that Kemono taught Yushin. A move specific to Emission. The only difference was Kemono figured out a way to make this a defensive attack and offensive attack at once.
Yushin's palms emitted a powerful haki barrier as he intercepted the attack. The size was like a warship flying toward him, his juiced-up body still, dwarfed in comparison. Yet that's why the ninja was so excited so determined, his will to overcome unwavering.
BOOM!
A shockwave radius crashed for hundreds of feet, reaching the spans of the shoreline, even the waves of the waters were affected. Therion was indeed correct the damage that this attack caused was far more dramatic than intended. I guess when enraged a pirate cared not of the destruction of his home.
"Grrrhhh..." The grunting of a man caught underneath the attack. Within the now crater-sized giga fist the dark knight would notice the anomaly in fact he felt it against his own attack.
From the dust revealed Yushin, teeth clenched, eyes filled with life, a few bumps and bruises but nothing that he couldn't deal with. In reality the attack hurt like a bitch, it felt like a mountain was dropped upon his head.
Above his hands his haki barrier remained carrying the entire weight of his attack, literally on his shoulders.
"THERRION!"He shouted as bursts of pressure was felt from Yushin, his strength was unforeseen, Yushin was challenged.
A true God always accepts.
He forced his legs from its deep squatted position back into his horse stance as if it were nothing. "Yuahahahahhah!" His laugh cackled as lightning lit the skies above and thunder the beat it's drum.
Sometime in the past...
"It's a repel technique, basic at first but when you start to build upon it that's when it becomes a tool of destruction." Kemono then placed his hand just before a wooden training dummy, "This technique will test your skill Yushin. Only use it if you are sure of yourself."
He then projected his haki at the dummy, destroying it instantly.
In this moment Yushin was very sure of himself, "HAKAI!"
From his palms, a powerful eruption of haki flowed. The Emission technique was the first part, the internal destruction was the next. All it had to do was make contact, in this case Yushin was holding up this attack.
Yushin's haki internal destruction penetrated through the pirates air fist, like blood through a vein. It rippled and spread yet it was controlled and focused. Pinpoint accurate.
The pirate had mistake Yushin to be among the daft and weak, but he was far from that.
A Wano protector.
A Clan leader.
He who was birthed in a storm, given the power of a demon, and grew into a God.
He was Erabatama Yushin.
The internal destruction reached Therion looking to completely detonate in his face. As for his attack another crack of power shot through the air, as the wind was dissipated and blown apart a violent shockwave that blew apart the cloud cover above in a perfect cylinder.
Yushin smiled as his eyes swirled that familiar double-ringed pattern, "YAHHAHA!" His menacing look toward Therion was Yushin's sign of a worthy kill.

"Man, those guys are really going hard up there," Ganon muttered to himself, his eyes glued to the fierce battle unfolding above. The sheer power and mastery on display were awe-inspiring, a spectacle of elemental might and sheer will. He could feel the energy crackling in the air, the forces at play using the very world to there advantage.
Ganon looked down at his own hands, clenching and unclenching his fists. "I'll get to that level one day," he vowed silently, determination burning in his eyes. "I'll bend the world and its elements to my will." For now, though, he was just a freakishly strong guy with incredible physical prowess—a regular dude by their standards. And that was fine by him. It gave him something to strive for, a goal to chase relentlessly.
"Maybe I should help?" he pondered aloud, considering the chaos above. He could see Yushin holding his own, his movements a blur of speed and precision. Ganon's instincts urged him to jump in, to lend a hand and fight alongside his comrade. But after a moment's thought, he dismissed the idea. Yushin had it under control, and his interference might just get in the way.
"No, I'll keep watch," Ganon decided, his gaze scanning the horizon for any signs of trouble. His role as a lookout was crucial, ensuring that none of the other Pantheon Pirates swooped in to ambush Yushin. He couldn't afford to be distracted, not with the stakes this high.
Settling into his position, Ganon's senses remained on high alert. The aftermath of his battle with Kaza had left him more attuned to his surroundings, every sound and movement amplified in his perception. He listened intently, his eyes darting back and forth, ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.
--
The admiral continued to apply pressure. His blow had landed well and had not gone unnoticed, he knew. The gigantic blow had drawn a crater on the ground, as gigantic as a portion of a city. But before he could rejoice or unclench his fist, Yushin reemerged. Lightning then began to ring out and strike the capital. Thieron sensed a threat, and his doubts were confirmed as Yushin moved into a crouching position. Thieron's eyes widened as a flash of white light seemed to emanate from his eyes.
"HAKAI!!!" The Wano samurai cried out at the top of his lungs.
From his palms, like a cannonball, a beam of fiercely powerful energy was projected. It advanced towards the divine knight, accompanied by the intense whistle of air, piercing the Admiral's wind sculpture with irrational ease. Every moment, every meter it traveled, it grew stronger. Wider. Faster. The stroke was immaculate and precise, worthy of a maestro at work. In what seemed like the blink of an eyelid, it reached the captain's head, detonating with an end-of-the-world sound right in front of his face. Was the blow powerful enough to defeat Thieron? Probably not. But he wouldn't be taken with indifference, far from it. The explosion of energy would have struck the Admiral's face with cataclysmic power, not only attacking the outside, but also impacting the inside of his cranium; sending him flying several meters into the air.
Or at least, that's what would have happened if the Admiral had done nothing.
And if Yushin thought that Thieron would remain in place as an open-air target, then he would have been miserably mistaken. For, yes, all the events thus recounted were but a vision. Indeed, Kairos Thieron was one of the few people in this world to possess the ability to see into the near future, using the advanced version of Kenbunshoku Haki, Future Sight.
"HAKAI!!!" The Wano samurai cried out at the top of his lungs.
"Irrelevant!" Thieron exclaimed in return as the Wano native sent his monstrous attack towards him.
The attack was hurtling towards him as in the vision, but this time it wouldn't hit anything. Thieron rotated his torso, then remembered his head, neck and limbs; accompanied by the wind, his rotation sent him away from the point of detonation, to the side. "Think with your head! There's no point in hitting hard if your blows land empty!"
"You, on the other hand, are totally at my mercy and have no escape!" He says, pulling back both elbows this time. The barrier still hadn't been abolished, Yushin was in a very bad position. "I hope you know that, kid. There's no way I'm letting you out of this hole unscathed! I'll send you to the depths of hell." He continued. Without missing a beat, Thieron threw a punch, then a second, then hundreds more. His elbows went back and forth like pistons in a sports car engine.
His body looked stationary, but his arms appeared as a formless blur. But Thieron wouldn't be the one to strike Yushin, he was commanding his air sculpture to strike at the same rhythm as he was throwing each punch. Yushin, the ground, and any other living or inert being under the assault would find itself under a frenzied rain of punches imbued with Internal Destruction, digging into the ground a little more and emitting flashes of light with each impact. This fight had now shifted more towards a show of strength. Thieron was determined to show these impertinent rookies that he was in a field of his own.
"Escape! Who said I was running!" Yushin just smiled as he clenched his palms tighter, his bones cracked. Yushin was not afraid of Therion, he was happy. There was nothing more that thrilled Yushin more than battle, it made him feel alive.
His eyes glowed that gleaming color, the first attack came, utilizing that same technique he threw his punch, "Hakai!" It replicated his previous technique to a T. Then again he threw a punch, and again, until he too was moving in a blur, blows that never touched but clashed like no other.
A series of sparks flashing of black lightning flustered destroying the battlefield around them, it looked like multiple explosions were happening all at the same time.
"Come on!" He shouted as he increased the intensity of his strikes, the ninja's eyes tracked each movement with accuracy, deflecting, blocking, even dodging in between attacks making his way toward Therion.
The storm dragon underestimated Yushin time and time again, he pushed forward. He stepped into the air, with power, his fruit allowing him to walk upon air as it were land.
Weaving the final blow the twisted his body around the giant air fist, spinning around the knight, An advanced imbued kick of Haki to the back of the neck. A kick packed with enough force to send him crashing toward the ground if landed.
"You seem a little overenthusiastic for someone who's about to be undone. There seems to be a gravely severe misconception of what's about to unfold." Thieron said, the expression on his face expressing disgust. The clash intensified as the blows accelerated. But Yushin still managed to avoid. The dodges were majestic, like a masterpiece. But for Thieron, they were just poor moves, the work of an amateur. His esteem for Yushin didn't seem to be rising, as Yushin's attitude enraged him for some reason. As Yushin climbed towards him, Thieron flew into a rage. And in this land, nothing was more dangerous than the Admiral in a fury.
"You're just a cheap rookie who thinks he can fart higher than his ass. You've got guts, I'll give you that, but you've got to put your ego aside when you need to." The divine knight pointed his finger skyward as he uttered these degrading words.
"You're nobody, young blood. I, on the other hand, am Kairos Thieron, and I'm going to show you why this island is called..." The sky took on an ominous blue color, it was as if the danger hanging over the city was no longer just a feeling, but a very real and tangible object. "... The Impenetrable Fortress." He said, bringing his finger to the ground as Yushin seemed to appear behind him, rapidly twisting his body to send a kick flying towards the Admiral's neck. "Be crushed, vermin!" Immediately, the sky seemed to open up as an absolutely gigantic bolt of lightning struck the region, capable of engulfing entire neighborhoods. It was as if a mountain had fallen from the sky, and not only the capital, but the whole country and beyond would find itself momentarily bathed in an intense blue light. Thieron was aware that Yushin was immune to lightning, which was why this attack was... Tangible.
If it landed, this attack would crush Yushin to the ground before his kick could reach the Admiral. Otherwise, should Yushin gamble, Thieron would take the full power of this blow, and in a lethal zone at that. It would be nothing short of catastrophic.
A gambler he was.
Yushin continued with his attack striking the back of Therion's neck, his strike in full stride advanced haki strong enough to send the admiral crashing toward the earth below. Meanwhile, a flash of blue struck from the skies and hurdled its way toward them.
"..." Out of the corner of his eye, Yushin could see the attack reaching him.
BOOOM!
He was sent crashing toward the earth at the same time as his adversary. The attack below echoed shaking and causing a violent windstorm across the entire island.
Thieron couldn't escape the attack this time and went crashing to the ground. The power of the blow was immense, and it was well placed. With a normal person, a well-placed blow to the back of the neck might be enough to lead to death. But Thieron was like a divine being among creation, the crème de la crème, a god among men. If he'd ever survived having his abdomen pierced in the truest sense of the word, then this blow wouldn't be enough to defeat him. In the crater, he was masked by the cloud of dust that had risen on impact. His current condition was not visible. But it wouldn't last long. As the cloud of smoke dissipated, Thieron's face gradually revealed itself. Although the blow hadn't undone him, he still hurt like hell; explaining why his hand was visibly massaging the back of his head. His head was tilted to one side too, before he snapped it back into place by banging the side of his head, causing a crack to sound in the surrounding area.
"Argh... Brat. You really are just an unbearable nuisance." He said. "You see, I'm not a normal being. That one, you thought you'd undo me with this one, didn't you? Unfortunately, it won't work with me in one go. You already know I was a Marine, don't you? Our bodies are trained from an early age to be as durable and enduring as possible." He continued, turning his head.
"Your mistake was not drawing your sword and cutting my head off when you had the chance. Ha! I'm talking nonsense. As if you could." He was still moving forward, looking from left to right, as if admiring the devastated landscape. But in truth, he was just looking for the samurai, not knowing exactly where he'd crashed. "But hey, enough talk. Come and find me." He said. Preparing to be attacked, he closed his eyes and gave way to his other senses and his Observation Haki. Should Yushin approach him, he would immediately be detected.
From the remaining smoke a cackling laugh, "Hehe..Huff Huff...Hehehe!"
A burst of wind cleared the area revealing Yushin to the forefront, "Why kill you so soon, you haven't even pushed me yet?" He began to walk toward the pirate, and then run, "Come on!"
"No, Not quite. I haven't pushed myself yet." Thieron retorted. The knight remained in place and wasn't about to move a muscle. He did, however, clap one hand into the other, as if applauding, before stretching his arms skyward. From there, he seemed to summon dozens and dozens of humanoid beings made of lightning.
The majority were knights, but some appeared to be female angels. "Like your pathetic clones, mine can use Haki." He said, covering his mouth with his hand, before himself being covered by an envelope identical to that of the dozens of lightning knights. And then, without missing a beat, they all went on the attack. "Good luck against us. I could come from anywhere."
The warrior just smiled, "YEHHAHA!" One by one Yushin embraced the aggressors, every lightning solider coming towards him was only giving him more of a rush. His heart beat out of his chest, the rush, the thrill it was something beloved.
A strike to a head dispersing it within seconds, moving to the next a kick, then a job, the a right, jumping and weaving, ducking and dodging. It was effortless, Yushin's acrobatics holding up on par with the speed his eyes tracking everything, "Come on out Therion! Don't be scared!"
Yushin himself just looked like a blur among the lightning, his speed was something that adapted thanks to Kaza.
"You look like you're having the time of your life. Would you like some congratulations, perhaps?" Thieron spoke up, from a more or less distant vantage point. While Yushin was having fun with the clones, the Admiral had blended in so he could get away undetected. "Don't get a big head, because you've forgotten a very important detail." He said, sending a punch toward the void.
"You're still in my playground." He concluded. Indeed, Thieron had by no means erased his cylindrical barrier, nor his gigantic air clone. They still existed. He had meticulously waited for the samurai to be distracted before acting, and now was the best time. A gigantic punch imbued with Advanced Haki was now hurtling towards the unconcerned Wano warrior. Should he be hit, he would be crushed once more into the crater he had already formed with the last attack, and even deeper.
Yushin was too locked in to not focus, Therions words were just muffled tones under Yushin own breathing.
"Huff, Huff" The warrior did away with the clones with pinpoint accuracy and power. It wasn't hard to sense the intentions of the Dark Knight, he was far more angry than Yushin ever was, from behind him another air fist. Preforming a bicycle kick leaping backward Yushin imbued his own leg striking the top of the fist.
Boom!
Another impact sent the attack crashing into the ground, "Yuhahahha!" The storm god laughed. He continued with his onslaught on the clones as if Therion was no more than a fly. The barrier was starting to annoy Yushin, but it was not a problem he couldn't fix, for he had the same power of storms as the Dark Knight, he launched himself in a brief moment, toward the edge his hands piercing the heavy wind like butter with his strength he ripped it apart and lung himself outside the barrier.
He landed into the open landscape, "Come on little guy? Do you think wind is going to stop me, I think its safe to say. YOU suck."
Thieron saw the barrier being pierced, so there was no point in keeping it upright any longer; in any case, it was taking energy to sustain. Suddenly, all the clones, the wind giant and the barrier disappeared, leaving behind a landscape that had been ransacked on all sides. It was as if nothing had ever been able to grow in this place, and yet it had once been a district, or rather, several. But the good thing was that, with the load off his back, the Admiral could now concentrate on his own body and do what he did best - fight.
He drew his saber, the handle of which was in his mouth, pointed it skywards. It quickly began to glow as it turned black and an aura appeared around him, a sign of Advanced Haki. There was no time to lose, he tapped his feet before disappearing. It was Soru. This technique, developed by the Marines, enabled almost instantaneous movement, giving the opponent little or no time to prepare. His reappearance would only be as close to Yushin as possible, while his saber would already be racing towards the samurai. And this swing would be swiftly followed, almost in the same instant, by a punch aimed at the abdomen, again, not only with the aim of giving the samurai no time to prepare, but also packed with enough force to literally cave in his chest. Yushin would now be forced to choose between sword and fist.
Therion was fast but Yushin was just as fast, the pirate's assault came from above, his hand rose catching the blade in his imbued hands, his free hand catching the knights fist, "Greyyuhahah!"
There was strength in his attacks but nothing Yushin couldn't handle, his quick thinking he propelled his legs imbued with advanced haki and aimed to strike the beast in the face.
Although he was surprised that Yushin had been able to block his attack, the fact that Yushin had decided to stay in close proximity to the Admiral was a huge mistake. "In fact, you got trapped, miserably." Thieron said as Yushin propelled himself towards his head. With the hand Yushin had grabbed, he pointed at the ground, ordering the wind itself to fall on the samurai like a tangible object endowed with mass.
"You insect." In this way, the samurai's attack wouldn't even have reached the pirate's head; it would have suddenly seemed as if the atmospheric pressure itself would have increased, but only for him, literally gluing him to the ground.
Should he fall to the ground, Thieron would instantly put the handle of his saber in his mouth, before launching a barrage of super-powered punches imbued with Advanced Haki. Each one stronger, faster and more lethal than the last, and one after the other at a breathtaking pace. Thieron's arms would become like blurred volumes, each blow sinking the samurai a little deeper. And in all this, the Wano warrior would be unable to defend himself, as he would be glued to the ground by the pressure exerted by the Dark Knight.
Yushin was hit and was assaulted with attacks. Therion was too powerful for him, too smart, too good for Yushin. Just like that, he won.
Or did he... No.
In fact, it was the complete opposite in fact Yushin didn't fall, it seemed that Therion still didn't understand the true danger he was in, did he think that using mere wind could stop his assault? He was the God of Storms? There was no air he couldn't resist. His kick followed through striking the pirate directly in the face. Enough power to launch him flying into the destroyed building side.
Thieron was once again struck in the face by a powerful blow. But as he had already demonstrated, he was one to find solutions even in the most complicated dilemmas. He thought fast, and Yushin would pay the price for his decision. The moment the blow struck his face, Thieron would grab Yushin's leg with his free hand imbued with Haki, the one not holding the sword, seizing it like an alligator closing its jaws on an unlucky prey.
So, when he was propelled backwards towards the building, the sudden acceleration he would undergo would take Yushin with him, but that's where the second part of his plan would take place. With the hand that held the sword, he pointed it forward, ordering the wind to blow hard momentarily. This would mean that when Yushin was dragged along by Thieron, his body would be blocked, dragging only his leg into the admiral's fall.
These two factors combined would result in a resounding defeat for Yushin on the spot. Neatly.
In the samurai's best-case scenario, his leg would be dislocated to a point of no return before the wind stopped blowing, but would remain attached to his body, allowing Thieron to stay close by. It would be dislocated to the point where Yushin would simply be unable to stand, let alone walk.
In the worst case, and most likely, Yushin's entire leg would be torn off by the Admiral from its base, leaving him to crash into a building, but with a nice trophy in tow.
But as if that were the case Therion noticed that something was holding his hand back from grabbing ahold of Yushin's leg.
A clone buying him enough time to slip past the knight's defenses landing the strike with success. Sticking out his tongue and laughing Yushin launched the pirate away with ease.
And hit, it did. Yushin's kick struck the Admiral again, the fourth time one of his attacks had hit Thieron. Thieron was sent flying, but he couldn't see himself falling on his back - that would have been a disgrace he couldn't take again. Just as he was about to hit the ground, he put his hands on the ground, allowing him to perform an acrobatic maneuver, landing on his feet before slipping, losing speed under the effect of the friction.
Stopping, he looked down at the ground, drops of blood slowly trickling from his nose. But if Yushin would have thought Thieron was finished or tired, Thieron's smiling face coming up to face him would erase those suspicions. He glued his fingers into a single block, pointing them at the samurai.
"Avoid that." He said. Ahead of him, the air would arrange itself into a gigantic grid, sharp as barbed wire, and rush toward the Wano warrior at breakneck speed. It would slice, slice and slice everything in its path, be it the ground, the air or anything else Yushin could possibly put between himself and the Haki-soaked grid. Avoiding the sides wouldn't be an option, given the width of the grid; going over the top would be the only option, as the Admiral didn't want to drain too much energy creating this grid.
Yushin smiled at the sight of his adversaries blood, "Awe daddy got a boo boo, Yuahahaha!" He started to sprint towards the grid, his nimble ninja acrobatics allowing him to easily bypass the large grid window revealing Yushin on the other side.
"I feel like I'm back at training camp, ah the sweet memories." He said as he floated in a comedic sense reflecting on his past, however it was only a matter of time before the large man would strike again and Yushin was ready.
Or was he, for what was about to happen.
As Yushin soared through the air, the smile already on Thieron's lips widened, as if a plan he'd concocted had just come to fruition. And it had. While Yushin was in the air, Thieron made the grid disappear directly. Yushin was now easy prey in the sky, which would have been blood in the sea to a hungry shark.
"Very good!" He exclaimed as lightning seemed to emanate from his eyes. Directly he leapt into the air in pursuit of his prey. But then he used the physiological ability of his mythical Sky Glide fruit to push himself into the air, allowing him to accelerate theoretically indefinitely, the only limit to his speed being the amount of energy he could put into the movement.
And here, Thieron put a big push into it.
This meant that the speed at which he propelled himself towards the samurai in the air was simply staggering, reaching Yushin faster than he could even sense that Thieron had changed places. Arriving close to the warrior, he imbued his fist with Internal Destruction, and sent it straight for the warrior's face. With Thieron's strength already gigantic in itself, his level of Haki mastery and the sensational speed at which this blow would come, it would be immeasurably powerful, more powerful than any attack Thieron would have executed so far, and sent with the aim of killing the samurai, clearly. There was no escape or counter to this attack.
It was a speed that not even Kaza's Lumin Gearshift could match.
Yet that simply wasn't the case, Yushin had already been a few steps ahead of the giant, and he knew he would attack. Indeed his speeds were fast but speed meant nothing to someone who was just as fast, instinctively Yushin performed a limbo bending backward his back only inches from the ground and the tips of his toes arched carrying his weight, he watched as the beast soared past him in a moments notice.
It was like in slow motion that Yushin taunted Therion giving him a wink and air kiss, "Hey girl! Yuhuhu!" The ninja unnaturally pivoted his body with the help of the wind, which allowed him to free up the attacker's midsection. With an imbued advanced headbutt Yushin launched himself into the gut of the dark knight.
A headbutt fatal and brutal his ribs surely to crack under his strength.
As if he'd get hit.
Thieron was far too focused now to be hit by such an attack. "Kami-E." He said. Immediately, his body bent, and Yushin's headbutt, along with the rest of his body, would pass the admiral without touching him once, flying past him. Lightning would strike behind him as his red eyes shone with a bloody gleam, like what was about to unfold. As soon as the samurai passed overhead, Thieron would promptly imbue his knee with Internal Destruction, before propelling himself in a similar fashion to last time towards Yushin, aiming to inflict a super-powerful impact to his belly.
"Yeah... Hey girl."
Blackening his arms forming an X he blocked his mid-section, sending him flying backward, "WOAHAHHAHA!" The warrior flew through the sky like a comet, "That's the spirit I love being hit by women! It's so thrilling!"
Maybe this sick way of thinking was because his ninja master was a woman who he had a crush on, any strike from her felt like a kiss of love or at least that's how Yushin thought of it.
Coming to a halt he stopped himself in his tracks, skidding across the air like it was solid ground, "He's gotten faster but not compared to that old man. Or did I get faster, oh well yuhuhuhu!" His nose twitched as he picked up a scent, "Another attack okay," he clapped his hands and two clones appeared beside him.
"This guys stinks," A clone said.
"Agreed" the other stated.
"Come on guys show him some sort of respect he's trying alright. May does hit harder than him though." The clones and Yushin exchanged a laugh.
Yushin may have scoffed, but Thieron was focused on the moment, and didn't have time to listen to the samurai's pathetic remarks. As soon as Yushin was sent flying after his counterattack, Thieron threw a punch back at Yushin, but it didn't hit him - far from it.
What would happen was that, instead of being hit from the front, Yushin would be hit from behind by a blow made of wind but imbued with Internal Destruction.
Should he be hit, he would be propelled downwards towards the admiral, who would greet him with three punches aimed at his abdomen, each one stronger, faster and more powerful than the last.
"!!"
The wind fist hit Yushin, a clone that is that leaped in the way cushioning the force but still sent the ninja flying toward the admiral, "Woahuhuhuhu!"
But before he could reach the admiral he grabbed onto the wind and launched himself back into the air like a gymnastic on a tightrope, "Yikes that kinda stung, thanks Yushin!" He then launched himself toward Therion, "I like that technique mind if I steal it?"
He threw a punch similar to Therion, but it came from his behind a large giant fist larger than his own body made of cloud coated in advanced haki, if hit he would be sent toward Yushin that would hit him again with a powerful advanced haki kick sending him toward the ground.
"Do as you please, it will be useless against me either way!" He exclaimed.
He brought one of his hands up behind him and spread it, creating an invisible wall of air behind it and imbuing it with Haki. When the punch arrived at a comfortable distance, it would be blocked as if by an invisible force.
"Anything you can do, I can do better. You're just a fraudulent copy of me!" He continued, making lightning fall all around him, propelling himself toward Yushin's foot. Arriving at a distance, he would use a maneuver of his subordinate Kaza, spinning on himself to move aside. Following this move, he would send a kick of his own, imbued with advanced haki, aimed at the samurai's stomach to send him directly into the lightning field he had created.
Spit and blood flew out of Yushin's mouth, his first draw of blood. "I EAT THOSE!" He clutched onto his leg holding firm as he spun his body around in circles causing Therion to follow under his maneuver he then threw him towards the ground.
"Lizard Down!"
Thieron exclaimed as his kick landed safely. He had honestly expected a similar retaliation from the samurai, but was surprised when the latter decided to play tourniquet with him instead. He didn't struggle and let himself be sent tumbling to the ground below. But he'd never touch the ground, for first he sent lightning crashing down from the sky. At this bolt, the admiral clutched as he fell, spinning around it.
"Got you right where I wanted you, kid!" He exclaimed before using his own kinetic energy to swing back toward the samurai.
"There's no escape!" he shouted. Arriving close, he dropped lightning in several places at the same time, all the while hurtling towards one of them. What followed would then be a show of force. The admiral would leap dozens of times from bolt to bolt, sending powerful punches imbued with Internal Destruction towards Yushin at every turn. To the head, then to the ribcage, then simply everywhere, Thieron's attacks would rain down on the samurai like an infernal torrent. The blows would follow one another and the rhythm would intensify as Thieron gradually accelerated his attacks, reaching speeds similar to those he'd reached earlier, and even beyond.
Red eyes left trails behind his movements as Yushin performed similar acrobatics zipping around from bolt to bolt ducking, dodging, and parrying strikes his strikes.
He stuck out his tongue taunting him, "So slow that tin can was faster!" He continued zipping and zagging bouncing off the lightning and air. From the ground was just the sounds of thunder. He could tell that Therion was taking the fight more seriously increasing his power with strikes, soon enough Yushin summoned his nimbus cloud under his feet that boosted his speed freeing himself from the onslaught.
Summoning more clones on clouds Yushin sent a small army of cloud clones toward Therion, at the same time he conjured a cloud and pulled out several ninja kunai with fluttering tags on them. He threw several toward the dragon man if touched would explode with fire.
Thieron touched nothing but empty space. The samurai's dodges were numerous, but this game wouldn't last. As Yushin conjured up clones, Thieron obliterated the wall of lightning and conjured up a wall of air in front of him, like a riot shield. The kunai and clones crashed down, causing several explosions to sound on the shield wall, but none of them hit Thieron. Then he made the wind blow, sending them tumbling through the air. But the admiral didn't have the time to linger over them, nor the inclination.
Spotting Yushin, he accelerated. This acceleration wouldn't be gradual like the others, however; it would be sudden. It would appear as a momentary burst of nitro, as if to catch Yushin off guard. Thieron drew his gigantic saber, raising it from his mouth. "Hakoku..." he said. Taking a deep breath, his concentration level peaked. His muscles became firm and contracted. His pupils shrank. His whole body prepared for the monumental assault that was about to take place. "Ragnarok!" In an instant, he sent his blade imbued with Internal Destruction towards the samurai with fluidity but brutality. A bestial roar escaped him as his blade whistled through the wind ahead of it as it advanced toward the samurai.
Yushin stood in the air from a distance watching Therion negate his trickery with his wind shield, destroying his clones and the kunai. He could sense something coming, but that's when he triggered Rajin Mode, his eyes cackled with lightning infusing his movements and dispersing a large web of lightning.
The web was a sensory technique developed by Yushin to detect enemies from a ranged distance, stacking his Kenbunshoku haki onto it allowed his perception to be doubled.
Therion's speed was incredible, but he wouldn't be able to negate Yushin's perception of him, for the first time the samuari pulled his second blade a small kanto blade, imbuing his blade with advanced haki he drew his blade in perfect timing in a vertical motion, a perfect parry causing his saber sword to be knocked back into the air.
Yushin then sheathed his blade, while he tossed an advanced roundhouse kick to his ribcage.
Yushin's mobility was breathtaking, and the fact that he'd managed to thwart Thieron even more so. But the Admiral wasn't about to just let go. By the time Yushin put his blade back in its sheath, Thieron had removed one of his hands from the handle of his saber, which was pushed back. At the same time as Yushin sent his kick, Thieron sent his Haki-imbued hand against it, not to block, but to catch it.
"You seem to be quite keen on the idea of having only one leg, so let me help you fulfill that dream." But he wasn't about to make the same mistake as earlier, when the clone had blocked him. He created a wall of air around his entire arm, impenetrable to any clone Yushin might create. If any of them tried, their hands would land on the wall, and Thieron's hand would continue, uninterrupted.
Would his hand catch Yushin's leg, the latter would find himself in a fine mess as the admiral would start violently shaking him from side to side, like a crocodile with an unlucky prey in its jaws. The violence of the shaking, accentuated by the emperor's tremendous power, would simply result in the samurai's leg being torn off or broken.
Yushin leg was indeed caught within the grasp of Thieron, his leg erupted with pain but thanks to his leg also being coated his defense was able to hold up long enough. His will to push through the pain remaining steadfast. At this moment Yushin knew he couldn't take this for long or his leg was done, so he shifted into his full zoan form. His size growing to over 45 feet tall. His hair began to look like a dark cloud, and his clothes were turned into clouds. His large legs was oversized compared to the Admiral.
Yushin then conjured a legion of clones, each standing on a cloud. They then conjured lightning bolts and began to throw them towards the Admiral. As this same time Yushin threw a blur of strikes towards him, all flat handed palm strikes coated in his advanced haki, erupting the shape between them. Shockwaves were formed from his hands and rings of lightning struck, destroying the battlefield.
