"Second Son" Gladius Constantine also known as "The Red Spear of Dressrosa"[4] is the second Prince of Dressrosa, and the son of Gladius Caesar.[2][3] He is a member of the Legion Pirates who holds the rank of Centurion, and currently resides on Mercury Island and serves as it's King.
His current bounty is unknown.
Appearance[]
Constantine upon first glance presents the most elegant, yet ghoulish appearance adoring pale peach skin and glowing golden eyes.[5][6] His face looks tired and worn, yet his skin is smooth and without blemish, if not for his gritty appearance he would look almost feminine.[7] His hair is tattered and unkept, which appears to be a blood crimson with shades of dark greys that look like ash. His hair flows long past his shoulders and to his upper back. Constantine is rather large standing at 411 cm in height, most natural humans, and in some cases, minks and Fish-Men, are dwarfed in size.[8] His body is lean and slender, almost looking like a humanoid version of a snake. His body presents little muscle growth, although the muscles he does possess are refined. His torso is rather short while his arms and legs are freakishly long.
Constantine's attire resembles that of a knight or lancer. He wears the colors of the Legion Pirates as red, gold, and black. Around his head, he wears a helmet with dragon wings on both sides and a serpent's head sticking out the top. Around his upper body is a large red velvet cape that sits some metal chainmail armor, with a signature shoulder piece of a dragon head.[9] Around his lower body, he wears a kilt and more armor to protect his legs. The armor color itself is a deep space grey that almost looks black.

Personality[]
Constantine is seen to be very moody and aggressive, dancing between emotions from small triggers from the world around him. When around others he's been known to give an unsettling tone to his persona.[10][11] He also portrays some sense of poetic tonality in his speech.[12]From his mannerisms, Constantine can snap back into reality whenever he focuses his attention on one thing. He also holds noble values being a prince showing conviction when Brutus checks his manners.[13] This shows Constantine's ability to recognize he has lost his mind.[14] Constantine is shown to have some resentment and jealousy in his heart, saying that he would kill his brother if he had the chance, also displaying his more sinister savagery.[15]
Relationships[]
Family[]
Brutus[]
Brutus is the proclaimed uncle of Constantine.[16][17] Brutus seems to play the mentor and father figure role in Caesar's lack of parenting and is there to check Constantine when he falls out of place.[13]
Gladius Caesar[]
Like most of his siblings, was cast away neglected of love from his father, and treated more as a soldier than a son. His relationship with Caesar is a complicated one shrouded in mystery and admiration. Constantine has been for as long as his lifetime trying to chase his father's approval and recognition.
Caesarion[]
Constantine seems to hold a deep hatred for his brother, wanting to kill him the next time they cross paths. He feels as though he squandered his father's grace and light while he only got to see glimpses.[18]
Dressrosa[]
Constantine is the second-born prince of Dressrosa and is known as "The Red Spear of Dressrosa".[19]
Caesarist[]
In his teenage years, Constantine developed a deep fascination for witchcraft and demonic practices. So he created the Caesarist church which is founded and based on cult practice and spiritual study. He named the cult after his father as he claims "He saw him when he was dead."

Cult Classic Arc[]
- Main article: Cult Classic
Constantine is first introduced into the story in a cave leaning upon a marble ledge of a balcony. It oversees a black abyss that screeches miles upon miles. He is seen having a conversation with the darkness, striking critical questions and thoughts about fear. His odd and whacky charisma is first shown when he is frustrated the darkness doesn't call back to him cursing it. But he is intercepted by his uncle Brutus who checks on him and asks about his pet. He tells his uncle about the beast still growing and needing more time, while floating back and forth between conversations about the throne and Caesarion.
