Strengths and Weaknesses[]

Strengths[]

The Doku Doku no Mi allows the user to create a wide range of poisons and venoms, and control them after their creation. Among these are corrosive venoms, a mild irritant poison, and paralyzing toxins. They can be created in either a liquid or gas form, allowing for a large amount of various applications in combat and utility.

Aphrodite possesses incredible control over the different poisons that can be created, and the way that they manifest.

Due to not only the versatility of the fruit, but also the potency of the poison produced, it is incredibly strong and can neutralize if not outright kill most threats.

When condensed properly, Armament Haki can be applied to the poison.

The user also gains immunity to any poisonous effects.

The standard Devil Fruit Weaknesses apply.

Weaknesses[]

Despite the incredible power of the fruit, the poison produced can be negated by strong enough flames.[1]

If the person afflicted with the poison has a way to safely channel electricity through their body, they can force their body to work on overdrive and speed up the healing process. This isn’t a surefire way to negate the technique, however.[2]

Most notably, Logia users have the ability to avoid the poison affecting them by separating the places they have made contact with poison before it can fully affect them.

Usage[]

Techniques[]

  • Doku Doku no Daggers (ドクドクの短剣, Doku Doku no Tanken, literally meaning Poison Poison Dagger). One of Aphrodite’s go to techniques. It involves sending a volley of poisonous droplets, piercing their skin and delivering a devastating dose of poison to the hit area. The type of poison used in the dagger can be changed depending on what effect is required, ranging from a mild irritant, a paralytic agent, to even a highly corrosive venom. The technique is highly useful for being used on the fly, as well as getting a couple of cheap hits on an opponent. It can be coated in Busoshoku Haki.
Doku Explosion

Explosion being utilized

  • Explosion (爆発, Bakuhatsu) is a technique involving condensing a very large amount of liquid poison and coating it in a layer of Busoshoku Haki. When touched by an outside object the orb violently explodes, sending poison shrapnel in every direction at rapid speeds. First used against Baji [3]
  • Half-Crescent Snake Rope (半三日月形の蛇のロープ, Han Mikadzukikei no Hebi no Rōpu) is a technique where the user creates a large amount of poison, and uses it to form the shape of a large serpentine attack. It can be used to dispense a large amount of poison onto enemies from a long range, as well as intimidation. Aphrodite can travel with the tubes if needed. First used against Gladius Romulus.[4]
    • Quartered Crescent of the Vile Serpent (邪悪な蛇の四つ割り三日月, Jaakuna Hebi no Yottsu-Wari Mikadzuki) is a sub move of Half-Crescent Snake Rope that is used by splitting the prior attack in half, either willingly or by force. It is useful for catching opponents off guard, as well as dispersing even more poison across the battlefield. It was first used against Romulus.[5]
  • Dragon Claw (ドラゴン爪, Doragon Tsume) is a simpler technique utilizing by Aphrodite. She coats her forearm and hand in poison and concentrates it, allowing Busoshoku Haki to be infused into a sharp claw shape. She then can use it to attack with. First used against Pompeii.[6]
  • Fujōna Hebi (不浄な蛇, lit meaning “Unholy Serpent”.) is one of Aphrodite’s strongest moves using the fruit. She takes a wide amount of different poisons and merges them, creating something similar to Magellan’s red poison. The poison is then reshaped into a massive serpentine attack, encompassing most of the battlefield. It is then launched at the opponent in an attempt to try and end their life with the sheer lethality of the technique. First used against Gladius Romulus.[7]
