Dave is a Marine Commodore who is currently stationed in the first half of the Grand Line, Paradise.

Appearance[]

Dave is a tall young man with a lean frame, shaggy dirty blonde hair, and piercing blue eyes, all smacked on an average-looking face. He often wears a standard-issue Marine uniform but usually with a bit of his chest showing. He's usually covered in an ensemble of pouches and pockets and with a pair of binoculars strapped to his chest.

Personality[]

Dave is an earnest and gentle person, someone defined by his compassion and love for all things in nature. His bad side comes to the surface, however, when practicing some aspects of his so-called "Environmentalist Justice". Whenever Dave comes into conflict with individuals who harm nature in any way, inadvertently or not, he will often react with extreme prejudice and hatred. This isn't always the case and he tends to restrain himself when harming innocent lives, but he still tends to overreact in those situations.

Dave served under her during the events of Cold Encounter. He learned to both trust and respect her greatly after witnessing her clash with Baal. Dave often reflects upon his actions as a Marine with Cyan as a benchmark, and finds himself lacking, leading to bouts of self-doubt.

Dave sees David as an acquaintance, but one that he can rely on during conflict. Dave finds David's obsession with Wano incredibly strange.

Berry and Dave are childhood friends who were Seamen recruits during their first enrollment in the Navy. Dave enjoys having long discussions with Berry about aquatic fauna. He often laments to her about being unable to swim, and his jealousy that she can. He also has an intense fear of her when she's angry.

Dave has very mixed feelings toward Zelgadis. He respects the man's strength in character and ability, but also has a deep loathing for his teasing nature. The man himself was the hardest combatant Dave had ever fought, and one he couldn't see himself winning against in a serious battle. Dave found his Devil fruit especially infuriating to fight against.

Early Life[]

Dave was a baby when the trading vessel he was sailing on tragically capsized in the South Blue, fortunately, his shrewd parents fashioned a tiny life raft for their dear child out of bananas and woolen string. It was shortly after this that Agni washed up on the beaches of the Torino Kingdom.

Dave was raised by the so-called "savages" of the island and was taught about the world and given an education in the trunk of the massive tree sitting in the center of the island.

Growing up, Dave was fascinated by the wildlife of the island, the flora and fauna intrigued him more than anything his surrogate guardians taught him.

Dave was a young boy, barely 15 years old when his conviction for the future came to fruition. He bore witness to a band of pirates, who were poaching the eggs from Masukeredomo Goayu Bird nests. He could do nothing at that time, watching helplessly as they cruelly stole the children of the creatures he admired.

It was this event that spurred Dave to enlist in the Marines, much to his guardian's hesitance.

Dave's love of all things in nature caused him to develop his brand of Justice, the so-called "Environmental Justice". This form of Justice motivates him to save the environment at any cost, it is his priority, and he would capture and kill anyone who hurts it, mercilessly.

Dave found the Magu Magu no Mi by complete happenstance while walking along the shores of the Torino Kingdom. The fruit washed ashore and Dave found and ate it. The legendary Logia carried Dave through the Marines, allowing him to rise through the ranks at a blistering pace, eventually finding himself a Commodore within a year of joining the Navy.
