The Chimera Tribe are a race of people recognized for their humanoid upper bodies and animal lower bodies. They can be found all over the world and it is not currently known where it is that they originated from.
Appearance[]
Members of the Chimera tribe are known to have humanoid upper bodies and animalistic lower bodies. These lower bodies take the form of mammals similar to what are seen in the Mink Tribe. However, hybrids can see these lower portions taking on different shapes depending on the race they breed with.
Known Chimera[]
Biology[]
Full-blooded Chimera tribe members have a humaoid upper body with a four-legged mammalian lower body. These can take any mammalian shape, from lion to gorilla and everything in between. As a result, members of the chimera tribe are known to have six limbs in total, with four legs and two arms. What animal the lower body will take is not dependent on the parents and can be completely random. Chimera biology also allows them to produce hybrids with most animal-like races, which affects the non-humam parts of the Chimera.
Interspecies Relations[]
Chimera as a race do not harbor any ill will toward any of the other known races throughout the world. However, personal experiences can differ between Chimera and thus it is typically a case by case basis that determines the prejudices of any Chimera should their be any at all.
Hybrids[]
Hybrids are an interesting factor in the appearance of Chimera, with different animal-like races tending to affect different parts of the body.
Minks[]
Chimera-mink hybrids tend to show more in the upper body than the lower body, as their "human" half will instead take on the traits of a mink, looking animalistic. The upper and lower halves do not have to match, though it is more common for them to do so. A mink-chimera hybrid can have a lion upper body and a and a deer lower body, or vice versa.
Bug-Men/Arachnoids[]
Chimera that breed with Bug-Men or Arachnoids will result in the lower half taking on more insect-like qualities of the two races; the lower half is no longer limited to just four-legged creatures and can be any insect or arachnid.
Fishmen[]
Similar to minks, it is the upper body that takes on the traits of Fish-Men, while their lower body remains that of a mammalian animal, though fish-like traits can appear in the mammal's lower half, such as fins or gills.
Reptilians[]
Similar to Chimera and Bug-Men hybrids, Reptilian hybrids have their lower half take the form of a reptile. This can result in them having four legs or even no legs at all, should they take the form of a snake.
Human/Giants[]
Chimera-human hybrids can either have no noticeable changes whatsoever or be the most drastic of them all. The vast majority of Chimera-human hybrids will see no physical differences whatsoever, but in extremely rare cases, a Chimera-human hybrid can be born with just two animal-like legs. The same thing can happen to Chimera-Giant hybrids, though, of course, the primary difference between them would be size.
Overall Abilities[]
Chimera have no racial abilities of their own beyond the physical abilities that come from having multiple limbs and the physical traits of whatever their animal lower half provides them. However, hybrids can adopt the racial abilities of other races though these are single generation and cannot be passed down.
Culture[]
Chimera do not have a centralized culture, as they have no known homeland and are spread throughout the world they typically adopt the culture of the nation they find themselves in or whatever culture interests them the most.
History[]
Not a lot is known about Chimera, some are unsure if they're even a naturally occuring race. However, as they are spread across the world their history is equally wide reaching.
Trivia[]
- Like how Fish-Men have their Mermaids, the Chimera Tribe is supposed to have a similar relationship with the Mink Tribe, with the Minks representing the Fish-Men and the Chimeras representing the Mermaids.
