Ceres is a member of the Jigoku Family operating out of Wano Country's Flower Capital.

After smuggling his way into Wano Ceres became indebted to the yakuza after consuming the Goro Goro no Mi, becoming a Lightning Person (雷人間, Kaminari Ningen). Thus he was thrust into the life of criminals after living as a homeless deckhand all his life.

Despite his kind nature making committing crimes quite tough, Ceres now is adjusting to his new life and the 'invincible' power that was bestowed upon him.

Appearance

Ceres is a quite large fish-man with a deep blue complexion, outwardly displaying a few shark like characteristics. Often he wears his royal blue hair in a messy ponytail, or will leave it down out of laziness. Large fins protrude from the sides of his head, the webbing between them somewhat worn with tearing. He displays an obvious set of gills on his neck with a mouthful sharpened teeth.

Typically, he will wear a loose teal kimono with gauze wrapping his feet. Underneath he sports a skin tight black shirt and shorts.

Personality

Ceres is for the most part a fairly levelheaded individual, despite being rather young. He tries to approach his problems with tact and will always try to compromise if there's an issue with someone. He has a big heart and will easily sympathize with others, often going out of his way to be of assistance. Despite his big heart, he knows when force is necessary and will use it to protect others without a thought.

With his peers and enemies, he has a generally unserious attitude and will often crack jokes at his or their expense. He will often react to stressors with humor first, as he can't stand unresolved tension. Ceres will always try to be the life of the party if he is comfortable, and is typically sporting a goofy grin no matter the situation.

Family

Ceres comes from a long line of undersea farmers, and was expected to continue said lineage at a young age. Ceres had little interest in learning his family's profession, and eventually ran away from home at age 9. He hasn't seen his family since.

Jigoku Michi

After consuming the Goro Goro no Mi purchased by Jigoku Michi, he became indebted to her for ruining her transaction and costing her millions of . Mostly it was because Ceres felt pretty guilty about it, he had mistaken the fruit for a snack in the treasure hold of the transport ship. Ceres sees Michi as a mentor figure. Though he remains wholly terrified of her and her ability.

Powers and Abilities

Physical Abilities

Due to being a Fishman, Ceres exhibits strength far exceeding that of a normal man. Having eaten a Devil Fruit, he is not allotted the natural advantages Fish-Men display when submerged. He simply sinks like a rock, much to his own dismay.

Fighting Style

Having grown up on the streets, Ceres learned to handle himself in a fight at a young age. Even participating in a illegal boxing ring in his teenage years. It has led to Ceres developing quite the creative fighting style. Though he primarily favors a simple golden trident, he will utilize anything in his environment to help him win a fight.

Ceres is not used to relying on his powerful new abilities, finding them quite unreliable compared to just knocking someone on their ass.

Devil Fruit

Ceres is the wielder of the coveted Goro Goro no Mi, and became so quite unknowingly. He remains unexperienced with the fruit, learning to master it's awesome power under the watchful eye of Jigoku Michi.

Haki

Prior to his arrival to Wano, Ceres only knew of Haki by the numerous scraps he'd get himself involved in. After arriving in Wano in 1620 Ceres was sent by his Boss Jigoku Michi to train under the watchful eye of Kenjutsu Master Kemono. Under Kemono, Ceres studied the Dawn Dynasty Style, learning to harness his innate talent for Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku with the master's guidance.

Kenbunshoku

Ceres demonstrates an exceptional mastery of Kenbunshoku despite his recent introduction to it's existence. After consuming the Goro Goro no Mi his senses were altered due to him now being able to perceive electromagnetic waves, allowing him to detect near everything around him with an extraordinary precision and range.

Busoshoku

Main article: Haki/Busoshoku Haki

Despite his old preference for hand to hand combat and extremely talented instructor, Ceres has generally had a hard time mastering Busoshoku. With a general mastery of the basic principles, he can hold his own in a clash with decently experienced Haki user. For now, he avoids any direct conflict and prefers to utilize his extensive Devil Fruit abilities.

History

After running away from home, Ceres mostly knew only poverty as he lived day to day. Hitching rides across the world on merchant and pirate ships, he would often work as a deckhand for tiny wages. Regardless of all the time he spent around pirates, he never really strove to be one. He only strove to live life as if it was one big party, and use his strength to help others.
