Caesarion is the crown prince of Dressrosa and first son of Gladius Caesar.[2]

In the past, Caesarion spent the majority of his life in his kingdom. Refined in the intricacies of royalty while enjoying partaking in gladiator fights at the Corrida Colosseum. At some point, alongside his eldest half-siblings, his father gifted him the Giro Giro no Mi. Upon consuming it, he became an Insight Human (眼力人間, Ganriki Ningen?).

Overtime, Caesarion grew tired of his fights and believed he had little challenge in the confines of his home. Because of this and his determination to gain his strength on his own, he set out to travel Paradise to eventually return to the New World so he may challenge his father.

Appearance[]

Caesarion is a fairly muscular, tall man with tan and angular features. He has short black hair that curls around the sides of his face with a laurel. His left eye holds a striking resemblance to the orange tone of his mother, while the right has a blackened sclera and darker red iris. Under them, he has two black triangles.

At his neck, he bears a large burn scar from his childhood. His attire in his debut is composed of a dark blue glove that cuts off at his mid-forearm on the right side with leather fingertips and straps, while the right one goes up to his shoulder. His left shoulder is plated with golden armor and a crimson-red fur lining.

Around his waist, he wears two leather straps that link a tan and red cloth to his left hip. Under these, he wears charcoal shorts that overlap with similarly dark blue tights. He sports a pair of ankle length leather boots with golden trim and tan soles.

Personality[]

Caesarion is an extremely goal oriented person, willing to go to great lengths to accomplish what he believes necessary. His dedication shines through his directness, feeling acting usurps explanations in many ways. This however, doesn’t exempt him from finding pleasure in being playful with others by dragging them along in his exploits.[4]

Evidently, part of his lack of communication comes from curiosity. He enjoys seeing how others will react to his actions and their environment; this sometimes goes as far as to lead others into dangerous situations to test them.[5]

However, he does not take any form of disrespect well and is willing to talk down to others and brawl should they dare defy him.[6] Deriving from his upbringing as a prince, he still conducts himself as if he is still in Dressrosa. With a history in gladiator fights, he is known to become quite sadistic in certain scenarios to which he does not know how to hold himself back in.

His unique laugh is “vevivivi”.[7]

Relationships[]

Family[]

Gladius Caesar[]

In his youth, Caesar and Caesarion had a very close affectionate bond with one another. Finding himself often hanging around with him, he questioned very little of his philosophies and always felt pride with the similarities they had.

As he grew, this love never faded but Caesarion developed a sense of longing for something greater. He felt, especially when exposed to the lives of his half-siblings, that he may stagnate in the comfortable position he had alongside him. This sparked his long standing ego to chase after his own strength, one that out of admiration and respect, hopes to bring back to his father someday to take him down.

Cleopatra[]

Caesarion never had a bond with his mother, as she passed away when he was only two months old. Despite this, he made efforts in his younger years to get to know her through the stories of his father. Based on these, he has a great love for her and is willing to defend her name when necessary.

His care for her has extended to the point he now plans to claim Alabasta in order of protecting her homeland.[8]

Gladius Constantine[]

As a child, Caesarion was curious of his younger brother. He wanted to connect with him, but due to his naivety, he didn’t understand why it was so difficult to bond with him. Their relationship was forever tarnished when during a particular incident, Constantine attempted to murder him in his sleep. This left Caesarion with a scar across his neck from the rope Constantine used, as well as a fear of sleeping around others.

Now, Caesarion looks down on him for this. Distrusting him completely, he has no interest in recovering the relationship they could have had.

Friends and Allies[]

Reed Roxanne[]

As children, Caesarion and Roxanne spent the majority of their time together. With many shared interests, the two found the greatest joy in getting into fights together, testing each other's ever growing strength. One of these fights resulted in Roxanne burning his left palm to which Caesarion now considers a symbol of their bond.

He considers her his best friend, recognizing that he is closer to her than any of his half-siblings could hope to be. However, he does secretly harbor romantic feelings for her that he has yet to reveal.

Django[]

Through sheer coincidence, Caesarion met Django while he was on one of his many exploits. The moment they met, the two seemed to butt heads with their dramatically different personalities.[7] Poking fun at him in subtle ways and purposefully misleading him,[5][4] Caesarion enjoys his company, all things considered.

He does, however, seem to see himself as superior to Django due to his own inflated ego.[6]

Abilities and Powers[]

Physical Abilities[]

Caesarion displays immense physical strength, being capable of accomplishing tasks like kicking a tree down effortlessly.[5] This strength also shines in his endurance, being capable of managing in extreme environments without succumbing to their effects for extended durations of time.[9]

He also appears to be very durable, handling attacks from Django's sword and direct assault from his special technique, Watersprout.[6]

Caesarion - Giro Usage

Caesarion utilizes the Giro Giro no Mi.

Caesarion ate the Giro Giro no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to see through everything and read the minds of others.[3] By forming a circle with his thumb and index finger, he can see through virtually anything. In extension of reading the minds of others, he can even view their memories.

Another ability of his fruit is his ability to see anything within a 4,000-kilometer radius in great detail. He first displayed this during his adventure on Erratum Island.[10]

He ate the fruit as a child after being gifted it by his father.

Last of the Real Ones Arc[]

Main article: Last of the Real Ones

Caesarion is walking through Erratum Island, a location he had heard various rumors of. Guiding himself with the use of his devil fruit, he encounters a body of water where he falls to his knees before dipping his head in the water. At this time, his presence is detected by another body swimming through the water. Rushing towards him, Django knocks on Caesarion's skull as if it were a door. Opening his eyes in annoyance, he stares him down before sitting back up.

Once out of the water, Django immediately dumped a series of questions on Caesarion. After being fairly sarcastic with Django, Caesarion barely provides an answer.[7] The two continue to converse and share arms, as Caesarion believes shaking hands to be too formal. At this point, he begins to put the pieces together to find what the stranger is looking for. Now, he seems to have answers that draw him in.

While he speaks, Caesarion already acknowledged a shift in their environment. Using the chance to see what type of man Django is, the swordsman immediately lunges to attack whatever is rustling in the wilderness. Using his technique wavecrasher, he bisects the small squirrel-chicken hybrid. Due to the amount of gore, he can’t seem to make out what it was. Caesarion laughs and jokes with him while he eats some grapes.

Taking a canteen full of water before they depart, the two begin to walk through the island in search of the laboratory once suggested to be on it.[10] While they travel, Caesarion focuses on prying into Django’s mind while purposefully taking detours to lengthen their journey.[4] From heat exhaustion and genuine anger, Django begins to get snappy that it's taking so long. Before he can lash out, another large hybrid attacks him.

Caesarion V

Caesarion and Django begin to fight.

Caesarion kicks a tree down and sits on it while he watches Django fight the grotesque beast.[6] Once he defeats it,[5] Caesarion gets up and pulls a chip from its flesh. Remembering it from a previous encounter,[9] he tries to give it to the swordsman to hold onto, believing it to be important. Frustrated beyond belief, Django smacks it away and begins to attack Caesarion.

Little Lion Men Arc[]

While a marine scolds himself, Caesarion enters the tavern. His presence is immediately met with silence that persists until he clicks his tongue. As the environment eases up from the brief tension, he walks closer to the bar.

Just before he reaches it, a woman grabs his arm playfully. In the moment, he rubs his thumb against her wrist and smiles before pulling away. Caesarion lifts the same arm up to listen to the thoughts of others, being drawn particularly to Harold.

Sitting down next to him, he orders a glass of wine before nudging Harold and asking about places to eat in the area.

Way Back Home Arc[]

Caesarion lays in a dinghy travelling through the seas. Thinking about how it’s about time he called his father, he appears hesitant to do so. Mulling about, he takes his time to pick up his den den mushi to finally call. Staring out into the distance, his fidgeting comes to a halt once Caesar picks up.

The Yonko asks how Caesarions travels are going, mentioning how he doesn’t quite understand why Caesarion went to an inferior sea. Happy to hear his voice, Caesarion states he already explained why. He goes on to explain what he has accomplished, specifically mentioning his fight with Django before asking to hear what his father and his half-siblings have been doing.[6]

Caesar focuses on explaining some of the altercations the Legion Pirates have faced. His tone shifts to one of disgust in reference to the others, bringing up how one of his half-brothers is now attempting to build their own empire. Caesarion shares his fathers negative feelings to the thought, clearly annoyed as he suggests that Tiberius will not succeed without his father’s assistance.
