The Byuu Byuu no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants the ability to create, generate, and manipulate a unique form of corrosive wind.
Etymology[]
- "Byūbyū" (ビュービュー) is a japanese onomatopoeia that is supposed to mimics the sound of strong blowing winds. It's commonly used to describe the howling or whistling noise that accompanies powerful windstorms, such as during a storm.
Appearance[]
The fruit has the appearance of a pineapple, though the outer leaves that give it its unique appearance are stylized as whorls of white clouds instead, giving hints as to its power. Beneath the white cloud whorls the fruit is green much like its stem. It is roughly the size of an ordinary pineapple, and its taste when described by its current wielder, he claims that it tastes like a thousand dead fish drenched in brackish sea water, with the consistency of a dense thick sludge along with the crunchiness of a bone.
Strength and Weaknesses[]
This fruit grants the wielder the ability to create, generate and manipulate wind. This devil fruits ability is not to be confused with a Logia type, as while the later allows one to transform and become wind, this fruit is a Paramecia type. As such the wind created by this Devil Fruit possesses some unique properties, namely that it creates a highly corrosive wind that erodes just as much as it cuts, and blows things away. This erosion shares properties with both poison and acid, though victims would describe it as a burning sensation akin to fire. Organic matter is burned and peel away as if shaved violently with sandpaper, while inorganic materials corrode and degrade rapidly.
