The Buster Call is the World Government's most devastating and drastic measure of attack, only available for usage by its uppermost echelons. It consists of ten massive battleships, with five Marine Vice Admirals at the helm, heading to a targeted island and utterly obliterating it. According to some, the Buster Call alone has enough firepower to rival an entire country's military might.

Overview[]

Initiation[]

A Buster Call is invoked when any of the authorized personnel utilizes a Golden Den Den Mushi, which relays a signal to a Silver Den Den Mushi positioned at Marine HQ. This marks the island the signal came from as the Buster Call target, and immediately calls on the fleet to prepare to set off and head there as swiftly as possible.

Given the sheer amount of resources used in a Buster Call, as well as its devastating results, only the World Government's highest authorities may invoke one. These individuals are the three Admirals, the Fleet Admiral, the Commander-in-Chief, and the Five Elders. Additionally, these individuals may delegate the ability to order a Buster Call to their subordinates via giving them their Golden Den Den Mushi.

Procedure[]

Once the Buster Call's order is acknowledged, it cannot be rescinded under any circumstance. As soon as the target is announced, a fleet of ten enormous battleships led by five Vice Admirals is immediately dispatched to the island, with the intention to obliterate it completely as efficiently as possible.

Once the battleships arrive at the target destination, they take aim - oftentimes by using an initial salvo as a means of triangulation - and proceed to lay waste to the island alongside their Vice Admiral commanders. Any target, civilian or not, left on the island is annihilated without a care, up to and including even Government workers or assets which have not been evacuated on time. Any civilian ships leaving the islands may be gunned down at any of the Vice Admirals' discretion.

If one of the Buster Call ships is somehow compromised, protocol dictates that said ship must be immediately and callously obliterated without considering the lives such an action would cost.

Once the Buster Call is complete, the Government initiates an extensive propaganda campaign to paint its usage as necessary and minimize the true callousness of the attack, while praising the Marines who took part in the carnage as heroes who saved the world from a vast threat.

If need be, the number and type of ships in charge of executing a Buster Call, as well as the number of Vice Admirals at the helm of it, may increase at the requester's discretion. It is also not unheard of for Admirals who request Buster Calls to also take part in the attack themselves.
