Deals[]
The Neverland Kingdom is a disclosed location located within the vast Paradise Sea. A territory conquered by the Yonko crew the Legion Pirates many years ago. The kingdom had been converted into a new sanctuary for pirates and Gangsters from across paradise, a safe place to conduct business, with rules ruled by one singular family who pledged alliance to Caesar and the throne of Dressrosa.
The Kingdom was one large island, easily one of the larger islands in Paradise, to venture all of it would take a few weeks if you were quick. All over where towns, cities, and wilderness danger all around. The island was known to be strange and alive, even from the shores people could feel the effects. There was something almost nobody could escape.
But the whacky mysterious island didn't scare off pirates and underworld affiliates it helped them. Many powerful deals, battles, and alliances happened on this very island. It was usually busy all the time, night or day it didn't matter the kingdom boomed with excitement.
Jackson sat on a log by the fire of the sandy beach, a bottle of beer in his hand. It was sunset about to be night, but that was always the setting of the island. It was always sunset with purple dark hues that looked like night time revealing the star skies. The beach was large several camps of pirates and travelers who were drinking, dancing, and minding their own business.
He was waiting for a meeting to take place, and the man should be arriving soon enough.
Veros strode into the dimly lit room, flanked by a squad of imposing bodyguards, each one a product of his own meticulous design and ruthless ingenuity. These hulking figures, clad in sleek, black armor, moved with a precision that spoke of both advanced technology and disciplined training. In Veros's hand was a silver suitcase, polished to a mirror finish, reflecting the faint light that flickered from the overhead bulbs.
"Hello there," Veros greeted, his voice smooth and confident, carrying an air of authority that demanded attention. His eyes, cold and calculating, locked onto the man standing across the room. "You're Jackson, I presume."
Jackson took one good look at Veros and took a sip of his beer, "Perfect you're here. Please sit, let's discuss." There was a form of formality besides being a pirate, but Jackson knew of Veros prior, being an ex-marine he could recognize a face or two. "What do you have for sale, I heard you got some good products on the market."
"I've got Sub-Zero," Veros declared as he flicked open the latches of the suitcase with a practiced ease. The lid lifted to reveal neatly arranged rows of the signature blue crystals, each piece emanating a faint, ethereal glow that seemed to pulse with a life of its own. The room's dim light caught the crystalline structures, casting shimmering reflections across the walls and ceiling, painting the space in shades of azure.
"How much are you willing to pay?" Veros's voice cut through the silence, sharp and direct. He looked up from the case, his piercing gaze fixing on Jackson, awaiting his response.
Jackson looked at the drug, asking to see if he could see it for himself. It was a beautiful-looking drug, the blue crystals made it attractive to the eye. "Before we get into prices, how much are they selling for. I'm assuming I'm not your first customer?"
"It's going for 100 per gram. That's my price," Veros stated firmly, his tone leaving no room for negotiation as he closed the suitcase with a deliberate motion. The blue crystals inside seemed to pulse with a faint, enticing glow under the room's subdued lighting. "For the amount in here, it'll total around 75k."
"How much is in there?" Jackson asked. Veros seemed to be careful of his drugs, but little did he know about Neverland Law
Neverland Law, Section A. Line 15: When conducting business on Neverland grounds there is a zero tolerance rule for violence or trickery. No lying, or stealing is allowed. If anyone is to be reported depending on the charges the punishment would be severe.
Jackson knew that stealing something like this would get him in a lot of trouble, even over something as small as drugs. Most people would think of a pirate island to be some sort of lawless land, but it was quite the opposite.
"Well, let's crunch the numbers," Veros began, his voice measured and businesslike. He gestured towards the open case of Sub-Zero, the blue crystals shimmering softly in the ambient light. "At 100 per gram, that means there's 750 grams in here." He paused, letting the implications sink in. "That should be more than enough for you to test it out, see if it fits your endeavor."
"How about this, I'll give you 45K for half of the product in hand. It gives me some time to test it and see the price range on the market. If all goes well I'll buy double in bulk the next time we meet." Jackson said trying to break a deal with Veros. From his perspective it was a fair trade.
Veros remained composed, his face betraying no emotion as he assessed Jackson's proposal. After a brief pause, he spoke, his voice measured and authoritative. "I appreciate your offer, Jackson," he began, his tone indicating a hint of respect for Jackson's strategic approach. "But Sub-Zero is a premium product. 50k for half, that's my offer." Veros said as he looked at Jackson.
"Deal," Jackson sticking out his right hand to confirm the agreement. Jackson looked out toward the crowd and spotted a co-worker. "Yo Smith, come be the witness for this deal."
Smith turned his head toward Jackson and Veros, he was standing by another group of underworld workers. Smith was a close colleague of Fredrick and an employee of Black Rock.
Written in the Context Laws of Neverland, to fulfill a deal another must be present to witness the agreements being made. In case of future disclosure. Those who violate this law can face a penalty.
"Pleasure doing business with you," Veros remarked, his voice carrying a hint of satisfaction as he extended his hand towards Jackson. The atmosphere in the room had shifted subtly, the tension of negotiation giving way to a moment of mutual acknowledgment and agreement.
"Okay well that's settled, lets get to the real deal shall we," Smith said, placing his hands on his hips and smiling. He wore a black and white suit. "We've been hearing about you Veros for some time now, that GAS and this Sub-Zero stuff is legit. We need your help."
Jackson smacked his face, "This idiot! We were supposed to be more lowkey about this Smith."
"Yeah I know it wasn't the plan but who else better than him? I heard you got a meeting with Takara Botan, is that true?"
"I rather not discuss business endeavors with other partners" Veros said as he looked at Smith. "But yes, that is true," Veros continued, his tone measured yet assertive. His words carried a weight of authority.
"Other partners?" Jackson said cutting off Veros from leaving the area. "Let's just not be so on edge for 2 seconds ok. Veros we need your help, have you ever heard of "Purple Princess"?
"Yes, I've heard of Purple Princess. It's some wack hallucinogen drug," Veros acknowledged, his tone carrying a mix of curiosity and guarded interest. He leaned forward slightly, his demeanor shifting subtly as he focused on the topic at hand.
"Well that's why we need your help!" Smith shouted gabbing ahold of Veros, "Please just come with us to meet Fredrick, he's the guy for the job I swear. He will get you whatever you need." The agent continued on his knees begging.
It was kind of pitiful.
"Alright, I'll go with you," Veros stated with a calm authority, his gaze fixed on Smith who knelt before him. "Just get up," Veros continued, his voice firm yet measured. He gestured with a slight nod, indicating that the time for negotiations or pleadings had passed.
"I can't believe that worked," Jackson said to himself, "Smith sure is something."
Putting In Work[]
Smith, Veros, and Jackson all walked along an open hiking path through some woods, with pine trees that stood so high you couldn't even see the branches. The path was covered in woodchips and trampled dirt and leaves from the many travelers passing by. The woods were quiet and only the caws of the crows and hoots from the owls entertained the deep woods.
"Walking through the 100 Archer Woods always freaks me out," Smith said, twisting and turning at every corner and sounding unfamiliar to the ear. "I always feel like someone is watching me." The agent shook from chills running down his spine as cold winds blew through the wood.
Jackson just rolled his eyes, "Oh brother, Fredrick was right about you," he remarked.
"What!? What did he say? Tell me right now Jackson!" Smith said grabbing Jackson by the shirt.
"Un hand me you weasel!" Jackson shouted back pushing Smith back from personal space.
"Can you both just get a grip?" Veros snapped, his voice cutting through the bickering like a knife. His patience was wearing thin as he watched Smith and Jackson argue like children, their petty squabbles grating on his nerves. "Lead me to whoever it is you're supposed to take me to," he continued, his tone icy and authoritative. "Or this deal is done." Veros's eyes narrowed, fixing each of them with a steely glare.
Veros words washed over them with as they quickly put down their bickering in order to secure the deal, both of the lads apologized to one another and shook hands.
They continued onward through the woods until a deep fog slowly started to emerge as they came across a crossroads with 3 paths to go down.
The path to the left was "Roadrunner Road"
The path to the right was "Wolf West"
The path in front of them was "Candy Land"
Smith and Jackson both looked at the crossroads and each took a different path. "Let's go left," Jackson said. "No, let's go right" Smith said, both parties giving dirty looks to each other as growling...
"Neither of you have a fucking map?" Veros demanded, his voice dripping with incredulity and frustration. He watched Smith and Jackson bicker once more, their petty arguments grating on his already frayed nerves.
"We can't have a map! It doesn't matter you idiot! Is this your first time here or something?" Smith yelled back at Veros.
"Yeah, having no map is pretty common knowledge around here." Jackson added.
"Yes, it's my first time on this fuck fest of an island," Veros said, his voice dripping with disdain. "This place is filled with the lowest of society and even more idiots like you two." Veros continued as he looked around.
"You're lucky you run a fucking shipping company," Veros continued, his tone as sharp as a blade, "or I'd be selling my product to someone else." He stepped closer, his presence commanding and intimidating.
"Oh..." Smith said placing his hand on his head in embarrassment. "Welp, which way do you think Veros, Roadrunner, Wolf, or Candy?"
"Let's just go with the Candy route" Veros said as he began to rub his temple.
