Bamboo Ego is a Schema, created from the Shiko Shiko no Mi and working as a operative of CP7. Serving publicly as a tightrope walker and occasional advertiser for other islands within the Sea Train Zone, he is incredibly loyal to the World Government and will kill anyone who learns too much about the secrets that it holds.

Appearance

Standing at 3'10", Bamboo Ego is noted to be incredibly short compared to the other Schema that Marmalade has created. Made up of a steel-Wapometal alloy, the Schema takes the form of a robotic foot soldier, with a mask that conceals it's clownlike face. Almost entirely green, the robot carries with it the standard joints and pipes that protects it's inner thoughts that make it up, while around his head he wears a standard bamboo cone hat. On his back, he carries a flag holding advertisements for the Gran Faldo, as well as a small shelf carrying brochures for other islands within the Sea Train Zone.

Personality

Put simply, Bamboo Ego is a Marine loyalist through and through. Birthed into the world with a core thought of Marine Justice manifest, Ego is a man of strict loyalties and stricter procedures. He believes in Absolute Justice, and will impale any pirate that he comes across that he knows he is capable of killing, while warning fellow Cipher Pol members if he thinks he is at a possible disadvantage. He also inherently trusts the words of the Marines, and will work eagerly with them in regards to defending the public.

However, as a member of Cipher Pol this is not immediately apparent unless he wills it. He puts off a hard thinking personality when not directly working as a agent, appearing as someone too logical for his own good rather than someone who'd be a cold killer. As a act for San Faldo, he often walks across Gran Faldo's tightropes while reciting complex mathematical formulas, and pretends to be a robot incapable of harming a fly, much less a person.

Relationships

Marmalade

Naturally, Bamboo Ego is loyal to his own mother. While the Shiko Shiko no Mi does not inherently grant loyalty to the lifeforms that can be created from it, the fact that loyalty was a core part of his thought makeup means he sees her as a superior officer that must be listened to. Because of this he will listen to any order that is given by her, no matter how life threatening it is to himself or whether the act would immediately kill him or not.

While he will obey her however, this does not mean that he likes her all the time. While he does have fond thoughts of his creator, he disagrees on the prospect of having to hide his true self to the outside world. He would rather be a Marine than a Cipher Pol agent, and makes this attitude widely known to Marmalade. In return, Marmalade views him with a sense of pity, seeing him as a failure of a Agent who only gets by on his aptitude with Tekkai for combat and is hoping for the eventual day that he gets torn apart. Despite this, the two work together due to the shared understanding that if he is killed, so much intel will be launched back to dangerous rogue agents, who could use said information for nefarious means.

Powers & Abilities

Physical Abilities

Born as a Schema, Bamboo Ego carries with it an incredible strength due to it's mechanical makeup. With strength comparable to his creator, he is able to use his spear to apply it over a thinner area for more devestating attacks, impaling through steel with a regular attack and capable of denting through armor with incredible speed with his Yarigan technique. With his strength being focused on using weapons, he tends to pour all his power into causing massive destruction, using the strength to demolish ships and put down Revolutionaries easily.

In terms of speed however, Ego is only so fast. Even with Soru, he is only capable of dodging regular gunshots with his speed, and is regularly caught off guard by the Soru of other operatives. However, while his running speed is slow his reactions are among the best of the Schema. Before an opponent is about to throw a Shigan, he can usually notice the attack first, and counter with an attack capable of breaking the Shigan just in case.

While he is slow however, Ego is incredibly durable. Made from thoughts relating to robots and computers, Ego's bodily makeup resembles that of a Steel and Wapometal alloy, giving him an insane durability when using Tekkai. He is able to block just about anything coming his way that doesn't make use of Haki, and has incorporated the use of Haki as a counter to those who do use Haki. His defense has been compared to that of pure diamond in hardness because of this.

Intelligence

Created both to serve as a walking database as well as a ideal soldier, Ego was born with an encyclopedic volume of thoughts memorizing the various different criminals and rogue agents of the last 20 years, alongside the core tenets of Marine Justice to prevent him from betraying the World Government. The combinations of this has made Bamboo Ego a very knowledgeable Schema capable of memorizing things quickly, and thanks to his database he is able to see through disguises and facades rather quickly. He has used this knowledge in order to identify rogue members of Cipher Pol, which have led him to help his creator in capturing countless targets.

In combat, this has given Ego a edge in regards to analyzing combat styles. By constantly checking on the various styles of past criminals, he is able to adapt at a frightening pace against different foes, often changing fighting styles on the fly in order to break through a foe's weaknesses. He is also capable of understanding machinery and armor on the fly, finding weak spots that he will exploit at the first opportunity or pointing them out to Marmalade for her to exploit. His one weakness however is an inability to adapt to Devil Fruits that he has not come across before, due to lacking the proper information needed to counteract them.

Rokushiki

As a Schema made by Marmalade, Ego knows all 6 forms of Rokushiki thanks to inheriting memories of the art from rogue members of Cipher Pol who have since been captured. Thanks to this, he knows Geppo, Soru, Kami-e, Tekkai, Shigan and Rankyaku. His specialty in regards to the Martial Arts lies in Tekkai, having mastered Tekkai Kenpo and giving him the perfect combination of offense and defense.

• Yarigan (槍ガン, Spear Gun): Ego fires out a Shigan but uses his spear rather than his fingers in order to launch out the attack. Due to using a weapon designed for piercing, the attack provides much greater power, and can even shoot a air projectile out from the tip that can travel 50 meters forward with just enough power to pierce through someone's skull.
• Tekkai Kenpo: Rolling Stone (鉄塊拳法: 転がる石, Tekkai Kenpo: Korogaruishi): Hardening his entire body with Tekkai, Ego rolls forward with enough force to flatten an opponent's body on full impact.
• Tekkai Kenpo: Tsuppari (鉄塊拳法: ツッパリ): Ego hardens his arm with both Haki and Tekkai, and thrusts it forward to slap the opponent. With this attack he is not only capable of launching a foe a great distance, but he is also capable of blocking and even reversing projectiles, sending them back to the one who launched them in the first place.
• Tekkai Kenpo: Utsugi (鉄塊拳法: 空木): Combining the tenets of regular Tekkai Kenpo and the Tekkai "Utsugi" variant, Ego uses the two in combination, hardening his body in a way that launches shockwaves back at those who attack him while still giving him enough mobility to launch his own attacks.

Haki

Bamboo Ego carries a bunch of knowledge on Haki, and is capable of using both Busoshoku Haki as well as Kenbunshoku Haki. He often uses both defensively, using Kenbunshoku Haki to sense the direction of the enemy's incoming attacks before reflexively blocking with a dual layer of Tekkai and Busoshoku Haki. In addition to this, he is capable of infusing his Haki into his spear, using it in order to protect his spear from attacks meant to break it while allowing him to impale those using a Logia Devil Fruit.

History

Past

Created during the War of Empires, Bamboo Ego was made to serve as a foot soldier during Marmalade's efforts against the Animal Kingdom Pirates while also storing information on all of the crew's captains as well as other pirates. While Marmalade often attacked from behind, Ego went in from the front and used his spear to impale many a pirate soldier to attract attention. Following the war, he ended up being inducted into CP7 alongside other Schema made during the war, becoming a tightrope walker and advertising agent of San Faldo in the process.
