Due to the circumstances of Shen's life, he is a skilled Haki user, especially within Paradise.
Kenbunshoku Haki[]
Shen possesses a masterful use of Kenbunshoku Haki, brought about in order to compensate for his blindness in blindness as well as every day life. He possesses an acute spatial awareness, allowing him to navigate his environment as well as someone who can see. He is naturally capable of seeing the auras of others even without exerting his Haki, allowing him to read their surface level emotions and intentions.
Though blind, Shen's other senses are not only sharpened by training but also passively enhanced by his Kenbunshoku, allowing him to pick up on things that would go missed by the normal senses of humans. From subtle shifts in temperature, to changes in atmospheric pressure and even vibrations through the air or ground, Shen is capable of taking in all of these things in order to get an "accurate" picture of his surroundings and opponents.
These senses are capable of being taken even further by actively applying Haki to his senses, allowing him to perceive even more than he is capable of previously. His senses expand to be able to be able to see the auras of individuals even if they are attempting to conceal themselves, as well as being able to feel deeper intents and emotions, not just those that sit upon the very surface of an individual's mind and soul.
