Alban A. Helios, or known as the Rising Sun, is the captain of the Solstice Pirates, as well as a formerly prominent pirate located in the New World.
He was born in Wano Country, and had been enamored with the sea and adventure from a very young age. After an unknown event in his late teens he set off to New World with the goal of growing an empire that “The sun shall never set on.”
His conquests of islands across the Grand Line earned him the bounty of 500,000,000.
He is married to Alban Ayumi.

Despite being rivals in their goals, and having clashed, Helios holds the utmost respect for Tiberius. Due to not only possessing all of the traits of a “king” that Helios holds so highly, Tiberius is extremely similar to Helios in his own eyes.[5] Due to Tiberius' upbringing under one of the Yonko, he views the name he has made for himself as incredibly impressive, and more importantly, honorable. This is to the point that he said he would rather wish not to continue their fight, and that he would prefer to end it then and there.[6] Helios even offered to ally with Tiberius and assist him in taking down Caesar. When the offer was rejected by Tiberius, he still insisted on the fact he would not enjoy fighting him.[7]

After encountering Pompeii on one of his territories, Helios scarred the pirate horribly, crippling him and disfiguring him.
Powers & Abilities[]
Helios is an incredibly powerful man. This is shown best in his bounty worth 500,000,000 million berries, showing off just how dangerous he truly is to the World Government. Aside from his monstrous fighting prowess, he is a captain of a considerably sized crew. With this comes the ability to command the legions of people under him, as well as claim large swaths of territory under his flag.
Part of his combat and leadership prowess can be seen through his ability to make use of the incredibly rare Color of Kings, an ability only the greatest of leaders can hope to achieve.
Physical Abilities[]
Due in part to his Rakshasa Tribe genetics, but also because of the decades of vigorous combat he has been through, Helios has incredible physical prowess. His defenses are incredible, able to tank massive attacks with little damage to his own self.[8] Even large scale explosions cannot hope to deal any major damage to the man, only hoping to knock him back.[9]
His speed is, also, very well developed. Seeing as he was able to arrive at El Dorado incredibly quickly upon receiving word of it[10], as well as being able to react to multiple lightning-speed attacks without needing to utilize Color of Observation.[11]
Devil Fruit[]

Helios has eaten the San San no Mi, a Logia type Devil Fruit that allows him to create, control, and transform into green acid. Aside from the inherent and incredible strength that comes from being able to generate endless amounts of highly corrosive acid, being able to turn into a liquid is a great boon for Helios.
One technique that utilizes the properties of his Logia is Flow of the Stream, which allows him to take on the properties of liquid and to effectively “go with the flow”. This enables him to dodge attacks and techniques very easily, similar in nature to Kami-E.[12] And aside from that technique, Helios makes excellent use of being able to turn into acid as well. Seen by him using it to escape dangerous scenarios[13], or as a mean of avoiding attacks entirely.[14]
Helios is seen able to exert great control over whenever his body is being transformed into acid, appearing to be second nature to him.[15] this grants him a surprising level of mobility, allowing him to glide across the ground seamlessly. Helios can also use this power to achieve flight through two ways. First of which is by generating such a large quantity of acid that Helios takes flight, and secondly is where he grows large wings.[16][17]
Due to many years of training, Helios is also skilled enough to control complex acid constructs, allowing him to create perfect clones of himself out of his element.[18] He is even able to control these when not connected to his body, and there doesn't appear to be an upper limit to the amount he can control.[19]
Haki[]
Being born in the New World, and Wano Country specifically, Helios is aware of the concept of Haki. However, he refers to it by the country's native word for it, “Ryou”. However, he will refer to it as Haki when communicating with non-Wano natives.
He is one of the few people in the world that is able to use all three colors of Haki, and he is incredibly skilled in the usage of them all. His own reserves of Haki appear to be massive.[20]
Haoshoku Haki[]
Helios is one of the handful of people in the world that was born with the ability to use Haoshoku Haki, and a part of the even smaller percentage that awakened it.
When exerting it, it is strong enough to spread over a very large portion of land. The pressure from his broad usage of it was very visibly felt, like trying to breathe in while surrounded by toxic fumes. It was powerful enough to clash equally with Kairos Thieron’s, who is a pirate that predates him by three decades.[21]
His aura when using it tends to take on a light purple tone.[22]
Busoshoku Haki[]
Helios is able to utilize Busoshoku Haki, allowing him to coat himself and objects he holds in the black coating. Like his other Haki styles, he has trained and grown it extensively. While using it, his Haki allowed a pair of acidic gauntlets he had created to keep their shape even when holding difficult objects to manage.[23] Even when coating projectiles, his Haki remains dangerous.[24]
Kenbunshoku Haki[]

- Nenchaku San (粘着酸, lit meaning "Sticky Acid) is a technique utilized by Helios. By using Seimei Kikan, he can force his body to overproduce sticky sap. Combining it with his Devil Fruit's acid grants him the ability to use a limited amount of extremely sticky acid.
