Reasoning for her to be powerful enough for the position are;
* She possesses a powerful Devil Fruit, the Doku Doku no Mi specifically, as well as a mastery over its abilities and how it functions. She has a moderate understanding of chemistry, which she uses to create poisons and toxins to interrogate criminals more efficiently. On top of that, she has adapted to the fruit so much it has become an extension of herself, almost like an extension of her limbs during combat.
* She has Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki. Her mastery of the two is quite apparent, being able to activate Busoshoku Coating almost instantly. Her mastery of Kenbunshoku is less advanced than her mastery over Busoshoku, however she still possesses command over the skill. She uses the Kenbunshoku in conjunction with her interrogation skills to successfully torture/interrogate criminals. She has combined her sharpened instincts with Kenbunshoku to automatically activate Busoshoku Coating whenever she senses danger. (not noted on page yet. I’ve yet to write this down on it.)
* She is adept in using the Marine fighting style known as Rokushiki, having practiced the techniques over and over until unlocking an understanding of their core functions. She is able to mix and combine the techniques to create new combinations to fit the scenario she needs. She does not know how to use the Rokuogan, however. (Again, I need to add this to the page yet.)
* She has the skill known as Life Return, or Seimei Kikan and can use its abilities to a moderate degree in combat. She has implanted the ability into her fighting style, Fluid Flow. Apart from that, she uses it to increase her efficiency in using the Rokushiki, such as tightening her muscles even more during the Tekkai Technique, or extending her fingernails during Shigan to create a piercing effect.
* She is very physically advanced, specifically strength wise. With a simple jump she was able to propel herself hundreds of meters into the air, as well as having survived numerous encounters of warfare and fighting overwhelmingly strong opponents and emerging victorious.
Some of her reasons for wanting the role are
* Her ultimate goal is to bring about a swift and merciless end to the current pirate era. She has dedicated over half of her short life to working towards accomplishing this goal, and becoming strong enough to do so. Receiving a promotion in the Marines would allow her to get closer to achieving this goal by having greater access to resources and information regarding the matters she is concerned about.
* She doesn’t deem her current position as Commodore high enough, which she has had since early 1618. She believes that on receiving the Rear Admiral role would enable her to receive more respect throughout the whole corps.
* Her backstory, which I don’t want to reveal here but rather in roleplay, involves a very deep and personal reason for her boiling hatred for criminal and scum, and it is one of the driving motivators for her. Something she thinks about every day, and this provides her with a fierce and burning desire to accomplish these goals.
