The concept is incredibly similar to an idea I had planned (I was not aware of the Gran Tesoro when I made the idea.) so I would like to claim the ship to incorporate my planned ideas in it, as well as bringing it into our shared universe.
It would function almost exactly the same as it did in the original story, with a few key differences however. Individuals that lose all of their money gambling on the ship, instead of being captured, are brought underneath the casino to an illegal research lab to be secretly tested on.
Apart from that, it serves the same role. The war left it in a state of destitute, and due to being forced to pour money into repairs no longer possesses 20% of the worlds money, lessening it’s influence by a large margin.
